The best restaurants in West Midlands

Great place to visit and have a coffee but it’s not listed on the map? Don’t know why I just found it. Very interesting place

My sister had recommended we visit Chickaros. I didn't think I would but we ended up in Chickaros in West Bromwich on 10 January 2025. The place was practically empty, but the decor and atmosphere was welcoming and inviting. I ordered a boneless chicken platter for 2 at a cost of £30. The staff stated they only accept cash payments, which is understandable, considering how some customers might want to scam the business or use fraudulent cards. Once the platter arrived, we noted it was a huge portion, fresh and succulent. However, I think the salad portion for 2 could be larger, the sauce on the fries could be optional and left to us to decide if we want it smothered all over the fries, and they could offer a free jug of water, if we didn't want to purchase drinks. Playing in the background was religiously tinged pop music, singing praise to Allah and the prophets. Overall, it was a nice experience and worth a visit, with friends who want to eat chicken in a clean, pleasant environment.

Smallish unpretentious cafe that is great to pop in for a coffee. Only had a drink but food looked good too. Coffee quality above average. Tiny loo but no problems. Staff friendly and efficient.

Beautifully clean and Tidy, good food and service is excellent, Tuna crunch sandwich was the size of a doorstop, my jacket potato was piping hot and the chilli con carne was lovely, we couldn’t fit any cakes in but they look Amazing and we will definitely be retuning. We think we have found a little gem!

We waited 40 minutes for food when there was only 2 other tables there so don’t get how it took so long. And the food was clearly frozen food wasn’t the best so very plain with no flavour.

This is our favourite cafe in the Kingfisher shopping centre & has recently been renamed and the service & quality of the food was excellent as usual. The staff are very attentive & the tables are kept spotlessly clean & it's always a pleasure to visit.

Miré este lugar durante más de un año, pero siempre pasaba por allí. Hoy fue nuestra primera visita. La dirección era brillante, así como todo el personal. Fueron capaces de satisfacer nuestras exigentes necesidades con amabilidad y positividad. Amplia selección en el menú incluso para mí. Buena vibra, decoración encantadora, nada demasiado problema Negativo... por no visitarme antes de hoy.

Visitante habitual de este café y nunca decepcionar con la comida, pasteles o bebidas! One of the best peri peri restaurants I have eaten from! The wings were amazing and the chicken was juicy and cooked perfectly. The staff were welcoming and such lovely people Will come back
