Sids really is the best chippy in Bridgnorth. Friendly service and good food. Had one issue where a girl short changed me by £5 which is the only sour taste. She seems to no longer work there. Theres a cue out the door for a reason. Its not fast food, its good food!

After spending a long time getting chips from the more well known chippy in Bridgnorth we tried Sids Plaice. You just have to look at the queue out the door to see how good this chippy is. Food was really good but service can be slow, often with only one person serving and randomly having to pay in the Nisa next door if you use card it can be infuriating. The only reason it didn't get 5 stars.

I'm from up north and like my chips, and especially haddock. These stres both excellent and always have been here. The only thing I miss is a decent gravy with my chips. Lovely staff and great food.

This is best fish and chip shops in Bridgnorth now I think! Me and my other half both commented how these are almost as nice as the fish and chips you get when visiting the seaside. Chips are lovely and cooked well. Batter is lovely, light and crispy (not soggy) and the fish is amazing, fluffy and white. Would 100% recommend!

I used to use a lot of different chippies in bridgnorth down the years but my experience suggests that quite a few of the more established names have let their standards slip, so i've been looking for a new chippy for when the mood strikes and it certainly appears this is the one. I have visited here now and the food, service and cleanliness is always top notch. They do a great selection of wrapped specials for one, but the quality of everything i've had so far has been brilliant.

This plaice is just fabby! The staff are nice, always clean and sparkly counter and just the best fish in town. Bridgnorth is a lucky place to have a fish and chip shop like this one! ☑️☑️😃😍

We use Sid's Plaice when we want fish and chips because it is the closest one to our house. It's a friendly place ("plaice"?) with a reasonable menu. All the dishes you would expect are there and it is well cooked and arrives home hot. Thank you, Sid's Plaice.

Sid's Place is the place to get the best fish and chips in town. Consistently fresh chips and melt in the mouth fish with a crisp golden batter coating.

Decided to try this out for a change as I am struggling to find a good quality fish and chip shop in Bridgnorth. Whilst the place was immaculately clean that was about it!! The staff looked like they could do with a good wash and the manager was seen leaning against the sides a tad off putting . I live 2 minutes away from this shop however by the time I got home the fish was soggy ... The chips were anaemic in colour and pretty tasteless and the fish was dry Will not be returning

My folks go here often as it's an easy walk from home in the uptown estate. Had fish and chips with them, it was all good and the staff gave friendly service
