Food was not even warn, heated up in a microwave and chips were cold. Come on guys you should not be serving food like this. Although staff were friendly food was bad.

Foods nice but when I orderd a curry sauce and I got home ready to scran my scrumptious meal I see that instead of curry sauce I had a pot of gravy which is not a thing I would like to consume hents why I picked curry my perfect meal has now downgraded and I don't think I will be able to eat the chips without the curry 😢😢

Just had fish and chips delivered to our holiday cottage at Yockgate farm for 6 people. Everything was lovely, fish, chips, pea, gravy and curry sauce, but we didn’t manage the 3 large portions of chips we ordered. 😀 We still had half the chips left. Delicious well done Chester’s.

Absolutely spot on! Food arrived lovely and warm, well packaged. Delivery driver was lovely and friendly. And the food was outstanding!! Wish we lived closer, so we could order again tomorrow!!

Food ordered at 5.30pm, estimated delivery 6.40pm to 7pm. Message at 6.30pm to say food on the way, arrived at 7.10pm stone cold.

The food we ordered was cooked to perfection and very tasty. We were a bit confused by the double fronted shop, on which door to go through 😂. I don’t think at the time we called it really mattered 😉

Took nearly 2 hours from time of order confirmation, to it being delivered. Was only informed they needed extra time, when I enquired where it was, as it was already past the latest expected time. Food tasted ok, but was fairly cold. However at this point me and my fairly young child were so hungry we ate it without warming it up. Delivery driver on the other hand was delightful. We only have problems with orders when it's me that orders, never when my husband orders. Then again, I've been in to the shop before too, and was served after a man who came in after me.

Food arrived so early.! Chicken meat looked weird colour,tasted weird and after we had poorly tummy.

I am missing a bottle of Fanta for £1.90. Your driver was quite flippant, that I’ll receive another for free on my next order. I’ve had no refund and no communication back now can’t get hold of the shop. Not inclined to order again if items are missing and your response is have it free next time

Quite possibly the worst chips ive ever had. They were possibly warm ups.The curry sauce smelt like curry tastes of nothing. Tiny portion for the money. AVOID.

Monday Bank Holiday, and with plenty of time to spare before a train journey thoughts turned to shopping and a light lunch. To the surprise of our family most cafes and shops were closed. However, we noted that Chesters was open, so arriving early we were able to take our seats at a table of our choice. The three large cod and chips (cooked to order) came within a few minutes. The portions were of an adequate size, well cooked, and each coated in a lovely golden crunchy batter. The accompanying chips proved just as good. The food was delicious, and the welcome and service provided by the friendly lady in attendance added to the occasion. Our family have used Chesters previously for take-aways, but now we shall also make greater usage of the dine-in option.

Was delivered really quickly. Everything was still piping hot and tasted GREAT

Staff are friendly, and when eating Inn come to take your order, quite unique but appreciated, food takes little time, but waiting for hot drinks was a slightly larger wait but nothing to complain about. Prices are very reasonable and don't total a lot for a family of 4. Eating inside is a pleasant experience but with nothing overly special with simple tables and chairs,but not an issue. The supply of condiments on the table were good, including salt, vinegar, pepper, and sugar for drinks. Overall a nice fish and chip shop that serve nice tasting fish and chips :)

Takeaway ordered by mistake. Phone the restaurant to let them know as this restaurant populated and was not within my postcode so there was no way of collecting the food. Even though I was told my order was cancelled. I've still been charged. Won't be using Just eat ever again

Sat inside café for fish and chips tonight and it was really good. Staff were really pleasant and attentive

The food was sloppy, vile or didn't even looked like it had been cooked it looked really pale. The chips where either grey or black and I wouldn't serve them to my dog. I had to ring them 3 times to even know if they had my order to which they stated it was 2 mins away onky to wait another 19mins for it to turn up. Just eat stated it was due at 18:10-18:30 but my order wasnt even acknowledged so when it came at 1835 it wasn't showing as late by much but when you've ordered at 17:15 or earlier you'd hope to get a message to say it was at least on its way. Won't be ordering again with them I will go with Whitchurch Eat house who are far better.

We ordered delivery to a local caravan site for 15 of us. Food was hot, on time and delicious. Would highly recommend using them.

Food is always hot but delivery drivers attitude stinks. Twice now I've written simple instructions on order to make it easy to find house, both times commeted "oh I didn't read them" then huffed and puffed like it's an inconvenience you've ordered. Won't be using them again due to her attitude.

Went down to visit our new grandson and my son mentioned chesters so we tried it fish and chips were lovely as was the pie and chips if you go down there its definitely worth a visit

Food delivered early and was piping hot. Everything was great

10p per chip and they weren't even triple cooked! £3.50 gets you a small bowl with 35 chips in it and I'm being generous by calling 6 of them chips as they were only about an inch long, add to that £1.90 for a very average curry sauce and there's a reason to get a meal deal from Wilko's.

Arrived on time and hot. Slight confusion as to whether chips were included but apart from that a lovely meal.

Lovely and hot when food arrived,so many chips and the haddock looked great . Best chippy chips for a long while. Fish was great but for me .. could taste and smell the oil. That said ,removed batter and fish tasted good. Peas n curry sauce enjoyed to . Thank you.

Bought takeaway from here and was disgusted when I brought them back home to find that the chips were absolutely stale. Won't go back.

2 hours it took to get our food that was Luke warm, delivery driver took over half an hour from the time the system said it was out for delivery to arrival we live only 5 mins away if that really disappointing this time as I was last time we ordered

We ordered two different fish, chips and mushy peas. Both fish were cooked lovely with crispy batter. The chips were the best I have had in such a long time, they were like chippy chips used to be,all soft and tasted amazing. The peas were really tasty and nice. As you can tell by this review I highly recommend Chester's chippy. And next time I come to Whitchurch again I shall be ordering again.

Awful service. Got the notification to say the driver had left. It arrived 45 minutes after that freezing cold. Restaurant wouldn’t replace the food.

Delivery estimated 45 mins and over 1 hour later I’m STILL waiting for my dinner to be delivered! Not impressed at all

I've had from here before and was happy but tonight ordered at 6.30 told delivery between 7.35-7.55 didn't arrive at 8.10 got an updated time of 8.25 didn't arrive finally came at 9pm with no apology I had tried to ring several times no answer requested money back no answer

Food very poor, chips bitty and hard, meat and potato pie cold and hard, we had to warm it in the micro wave. Cheese and onion pasty rock hard all round the edges. The man that served my husband wanted to overcharge him, it took 3 attempts to get it right after my husband itemized the order with prices, which incidentally was agreed by another customer. we won't be going back. Such a shame as the food is normally good

Lunchtime visit for fish and chips. Chunky cod fillets with a light and crispy batter. Chips were very good. Cooked perfectly and in fresh oil. We sat inside and were happy with the service and clean surroundings. A must visit if you are in Chester.

Never had a bad meal from this chip shop. Always happy to help, always busy, and always clean with lots of food on the meue to choose from. I love the little fish and chips box and great value meal. Defo recommend guys and gals

Frozen fish? Fish served in same box as sausage which meant my non pork eating children couldn't eat their fish Gravy was very nice Naan so much nicer than the usual cardboard pitta served in UK
