Disappointing chips. Normally a high point on way home but not this time. Chips Luke warm at best. May have to find a new stop.

Good snap parking, food is 4 minus! One clean toilet and one shower stall! Prices in the shop are high!

This place has it all. Chips shop and convenient store all in one place. Plus a truck stop park aswell.

The food is good and I like the variety on offer - generally good value, some better than others. The welcome is good, particularly when quieter, atmosphere fine for a takeaway, albeit with convenience store shelves all round. I think the restaurant bit is more separate but I haven't tried it

A very unusual fish and chip bar BUT fantastic. Kebabs, pizza pies and various other food itema available. We ate here on the way up and on the way back. The staff attentive and friendly. Plenty of parking for all vehicle types. A shop for essential and toilets too. The place was neat and tidy. Prices great too.

Very disappointed to get home to find curry sauce in my fish box had ordered mushy peas. Couldn't eat it.

Do not miss out this Fish & Chips! Sweet God, is just brilliant. Always the best 👌🏻 Every day open from 11.30 AM till 22 PM There is only one issue at the car/lorry park, no signal at all, I mean, O2 and EE network are dead. Highly recommend!

Great place for overnight HGV parking!! Excellant chip shop, with all the usual add ons like burgers, kebabs, etc. Food prices are very reasonable . Portion sizes are also very good. There's also a little shop for essentials. 24hr free toilets and shower. Very popular HGV parking spot, which gets very busy, very quickly come end of day. You've got to be in early to grab a space. £22 for overnight, and that includes £5 off a meal. The only downside here is that there are no house rules on fridges being turned off overnight or after a certain time, so you take your chances on a running fridge being parked beside you!!

This is a great place to eat, really nice food, great menu really enjoy going there whenever we pass we always call in to eat, would really recommend anyone to call in and have food or even just to have a drink, they have a bar so you can have whatever you like. There's toilets and you can buy some groceries too.

Worst fish I’ve ever had in my life, way over cooked and all black inside, sausage had all hard bits in and the chips at best a 4/10. Won’t be going here again!

im a wagon driver who's company pays on a snap account and this is the only place in the uk where they dont give you anything of your meal so wont be parking there again i will go to the raven and get a free meal with paid parking

Situated on the A41 is the best fish and chip shop in the Newport- Shropshire area. Cooked fresh to order, usually wait about 10 minutes for the food, and it's certainly worth the wait. Chips soft and fluffy on the inside whilst remaining crispy on the outside. The fish is always cooked to perfection - flaky and soft meat whilst the batter is hot, crispy with no grease. There is plenty of parking and very easy to find.

Spot on, stopped in tonight while out on my bike with a couple of work mates, we all ate in the restaurant, great portion sizes fair prices and the service was fantastic, we will definitely be popping in again.

Ordered by phone for collection, all was freshly wrapped when wee collected and marked up. Food was exactly as order, fresh, tasty and hot couldn't fault it!

Been a couple of times the food here is OK its a shop and restaurant and chip shop good service and decent food ordered food and they brought it out to us in car park as we was on our travels

Very comfortable seating and decor. Fish and chips freshly cooked to order and just right. Generous portions and reasonably priced. A wide variety on the menu including lots on the kids menu. The staff are friendly and attentive.

A good place to go for all sorts of takeaway food. Fish and chips, pizza, kebab, plus an assortment of essentials and alcohol. The food was pretty good too. We did hope to get breakfast one morning on a bank holiday, but they weren't open. Fair enough, no complaints about the shop though. Also a very large car park for truckers and caravans etc.

Stumbled upon this place during a stay in the local area, food was decent and portion sizes just right. Value for money and friendly staff. Food is cooked to order and the menu is quite extensive with a lot of choice.

Sit in and takeaway chippy with a large menu, highly recommend their pizzas especially if your dining in. The only negative I would give it that it can get quite roudy and noisy as it does attract workmen and truckers who treat it like a pub at times. Large free car park and quick service, also a convenience store and off licence inside the shop.

Long lorry trip,pulled over for my break, The chicken wrap was freshly cooked and was the best iv ever had, chips were spot on just right. Food was excellent, little slow service however food cooked like that well worth the wait Good shop inside the restaurant also, Very clean

Food isn't as good as it was before, think it's changed owners. More expensive than before too. Ordered a 9 inch pizza & chips & pop deal, a large kebab meat & chips and cheesy chips and curry sauce and battered mushrooms. They put the second two orders out under a heat lamp while we waited 4 or 5 mins for the pizza, then when we got home, I had no chips with my pizza deal, the wife had no curry sauce with her cheesy chips, even the cheese hadn't melted & her battered mushrooms were breaded. And father in laws kebab meat was cold, he had to microwave his.. won't be going there again to be honest.

This is an update and replacement for by 2017 review in which I gave a bad score. My family ordered a take-out meal for 6 in January 2024 and it was very good. The standards have improved massively and I no longer hold a complaint against the Newcott outlet. For anyone planning to visit and reading this, it is well worth a try.

Firstly a recommendation. I recommend that if you are traversing the A41 between Whitchurch and Wolves then find 6th gear and accelerate straight past this establishment.Either stop at MDs at Whitchurch or head for Wolves for food or vice versa. After a terrible meal here last year and being on a Sunday afternoon,we though we'd risk it one more time. Chips bone dry,Fish batter like concrete.SF chicken had a weird smell and definitely not fresh.If it wasn't for the curry sauce to dip my chips in then I couldn't have been able to swallow them. We have left reviews on Google about the terrible quality food you will be served here early last year but they don't seem to have taken any notice. The usual chippy fare anytime outside of the main hours ie Dinnertime or Evening will be BONE DRY AND BURNED.Due to it's location and people hopefully reading the reviews they don't sell it quickly enough so it's left in the ranges dehydrating for hours. THEY WILL STILL SERVE IT YOU KNOWING FULL WELL what it will be like and LAUGH AT YOU as you pay a fortune for it as you walk out of the door.I don't usually use block caps in a review but you need to take heed of the advice. Lunchtime or evening can be hit and miss too with around 50/50 odds of getting a well cooked edible meal so please take this into account.Err on the side of undercooked if there's a lot of squaddies in from the barracks as they rush the orders then. My advice is just don't risk it.

Great food cooked fresh. Value for money

Having driven/rode past this place on numerous occasions I finally decided to stop with the family. And what a great place it is, the food (Fish and Chips and a cup of tea) was absolutely lovely, it was nice to sit in and eat too. Will definitely stop again. I'm not local, but do pass it probably 5 or 6 times a year, mostly on the motorbike after a day in Wales.

Atmosphere in the restaurant area wasn't welcoming, service was slow and food was extremely greasy and did not taste fresh. The salad, what little there was of it, had seen better days and lettuce was brown and snotty. Chips were dry and tasted like they had been there for quite some time. Don't walk run! AVOID.

Nothing like it used to be. Ordered and collected for 5 of us on Saturday. Got back home to find items missing. Not only are prices increasing but you’re charging for something we’re not getting.

Had what was meant to be two large chicken Sheesh kebabs. Salad was missing save for a few bits of onion. Kebab was horrible processed chewy rubbish, not actual chicken, which tasted foul and gave us both bad stomachs. It was expensive and our order took over 40 minutes.

Use this ppace quite a lot as the food is very good. However, we always order online and go to collect 15 mins later. Sometimes the order is put together on arrival, other times we wait for up to 15 mins, even if the order is the same. In my last visit there was a long wait for a pizza to be cooked and I watched them put the other items, pie, chips etc, in a bag which sat on a non-warmed counter for over 10 mins. Got home and the food in the bag was barely warm. I don't know how the staff have been trained but they even put S&V on the chips when you ask them not to. We'll keep going though, it's a very good chippy

Probably the best fish & chip shop for many miles...quick and firnedly service, massive choice from the menu, and the food is always cooked beautifully. They also have an 'eat-in' area that we haven't tried yet - but looks great!

Disgusting food. We ordered chips and they tasted like they'd been in the fryer for days. I'm not fussy but wow these were terrible, brown and crispy but somehow oily. They make you feel so ill. Found a small brown hair in them too. The staff were so miserable. We binned the chips.
