I have been here several times now and have to say this is probably the best chippy in Shrewsbury. Everything is always cooked fresh to order and the owner is more than happy to add extra salt and vinegar. Just expect a 15-20 minute waiting time. Highly reccommended, will definitley return in the future.

First time here tonight and the fish and chips were absolutely beautiful, no hard batter on the fish! We will be back for our Friday night fish and chips

On holiday and happened to be the only chippy in Shrewsbury that was open on a Sunday, ordered on line and went to collect. I was expecting it to be ready but was not, wasn't a big deal as it was worth waiting for chips were fantastic.

Been coming here for years for our family. Always friendly staff - never had a faulty order. They've even brought our order out to the car on occasions when we've been waiting. Highly recommend this trusted local chippy!

We use this chippy regularly so it must be good for us as we would go elsewhere. Pleasant staff and good food. We often pop in to order then go next door for a drink for 20 mins. The food is always ready. Decent prices and cleanliness is excellent

Love this chippy the staff are brilliant and their kebab is naan is by far the best, they are very generous with their portion sizes and whenever you go in they always make a point of saying hello and asking how you are even when they really busy which is most of the time

We had takeaway large cod and large chips while in the area on holiday. Cod nice fish and reasonable portion, chips generous portion but a bit greasy. Friendly staff.

We popped in to the whiteCroft chippy for fish and chips on recommendations. The food was so nice we went back tonight to try the donna barm, was only going to eat half as it was larger than I expected, but the taste was so nice I ate the lot and so did my wife. Will definitely be going back

Travel from one side of Shrewsbury to the other. Great food and The Irish Curry Sauce is to doe for.

In my last order I had a fish that was not fresh...or fried to order but I didn't complain. Today from the 3 ordered 2 were not fresh...I am really disappointed and shows that the more we order less quality you receive. It is a shame but I will order from other chippy next time.

This isn't my local chippy but I will drive 15 mins for a kebab here. I have also had through Uber eats and it's been equally as good. I always have chicken meat with either chips or in a pitta bread. The meat is always fresh and the salad is too. Cash only is not a problem as there is a cash point a few stores down. Staff are always polite even when they are super busy which is most of the time. You may have a wait time due to the high demand here but it's worth it. Proper classic chippy.

I've been to this chippy for nearly 4 years now, the food is always fresh, well cooked and the chicken Kebab is to die for😍.. The donner meat is really nice and the fish. Even with online deliverys the food is still hot and fresh also the kids meals are a decent portion. Quick service and very friendly staff. I would highly recommend.

Just moved to this location and thought I'd check out this chippy. Got some fresh and tasty chicken burgers with a cone of fries, which beat the jet lag right in the spot. Managed by a lovely gentleman who also happens to own this quaint and clean shop. He was kind enough to offer me a free drink after learning I'm new to the place, along with helpful advice to get around. And a friendly chat was just what I needed then! Along with the food of course, and there does seem to be a lot of items on the menu, which I will be trying next. The fish and sausages seemed delicious, as I popped in exactly at the opening hour of 12 pm, so the cooking was going on. Would recommend this place for good, fresh food! Do carry cash, as they don't accept cards. But there is an ATM right next, so shouldn't be an issue

Went to get chips here for the first time last night and they were absolutely delish!!!!!!! Mayo chips were really yum and not really greasy at all which is a big bonus!!!!! x

If you want the best fish and chips in Shrewsbury, goto Whitecoft Chippy. The boss is always friendly to everyone aswell. They now deliver on Uber eats so we can order our food right to our door. Try it you won't regret it.

Went to here whilst coming through Shrewsbury to get to my holiday. Definitely one of the best chippy’s I’ve been to if not the best. Food is cooked to protection and is freshly made. Crispy and tasty chips and a big tasty fish! The guy who served us was lovely and very kind. Definitely coming back soon!

Stumbled upon this gem of a chippy while in the area with my lads football game. 2 hour drive home but needed food before the journey. Walked in ten minutes before they closed BUT they were more than happy to cook for us even though they were looking to clean up the shop!!!! They even let us stay and eat in ( only 4 seats for queuing customers ) while they locked up and cleaned so we didn't have to sit in the car and eat!!! First class service and the food didn't disappoint either...... Highly recommended. Thanks again....

2nd visit after a recommendation. The first visit was great everything tasty nothing to fault. 2nd visit not the same. The fish was wrapped desperately and was soggy and stuck to the paper. The chips undercooked again little flavour. I will say that they were plenty hot enough but that's really the only positive. A 3rd visit may prove different but if not there won't be a 4th.

Top chippy. Popped in on my way home for a pie box, the guys were friendly and helpful grub was top. Definitely return!

Never had a problem normally but ordered large fish and chips and had about 12 chips in the portion . Charged full price. Large chicken kebab about half the size as normal.

The best fish and chips in Shrewsbury, and friendly staff, they always ask if you want fish if yes they cook it fresh in front of you, we love it prefect chips, well everything is so lovely cooked, yummy

The chap who runs the place is nice and is polite but the people he employs are rude and slow, stand there waiting to order for 15 minutes at times, then by the time you’ve ordered if they need to cook anything waiting around more. Could be faster at service but the food is very good and priced well.

I was blown away by the amount of food we had. Fish was massive and cooked to perfection. Best gravy I've ever had from a chip shop. Excellent value for money and super friendly service. Id add a picture but it was gone to quickly.

been told to go here as its supposed to be good, I was underwhelmed waited for haddock to be cooked fish was dry and full of bones, chips were barely blanched, no colour will not go again.

Excellent take away food shop. Sells traditional fish and chips and has an extensive range of kebabs etc. Premises are spotless, it has a 5 star hygiene rating. Staff are friendly and approachable. Recommended

More than just cheese and onion pie and mushroom sticks ! Loved the veggie options love haloumi and in fairness, great service and interaction with staff .
