The best restaurants in Yetminster West Dorset South West

We had a lovely afternoon tea in the garden at Hillside on Tuesday 27th August. Our hostess was friendly and welcoming and provided a selection of sandwiches, fruit scones and cream, and a selection of cakes. It was hard to choose what to have first, coffe and walnut cake, Victoria sandwich, red velvet or chocolate fudge cake. We chose to stick with the usual tea but could have had other teas or coffee. Very nice traditional pub. The food is great and well cooked. I ordered a lamb and it was delicious. Probably it even better in summer time because there are tables outside

What a beautiful old building in a lovely setting! Parking is very limited, but available parking on village road alongside. Beautiful ambiance, with an olde worlde feel. Mothers Day afternoon tea very well presented, on/ in bone China crockery, with great variety of sandwiches, cake & quiche. Attention to detail with regard to any dietary needs.Copious amounts of tea, linen tablecloths, & staff were attentive, but not intrusive. Comfy furnishings to sit in. Did not feel rushed. Good value for money. I also attended a craft workshop here in an adjoining room a couple of weeks ago. This was well run & hot drinks & cake available at this event too. Outside seating also available. Will definitely visit again & can highly recommend!

Food is very expensive, atmosphere is non existent. Owner is very rude.

Absolutely love this pub the staff are great the locals are lovely, the drinks are served cold. All round top pub.
