The best restaurants in Swanage North Purbeck South West

One of our favourite chill out spots on the front at Swanage, lovely for watching the world go by. Keep up the good work Chris and team!

Popped in for coffee whilst on holiday. Staff were warm and friendly and very welcoming of our dog who enjoyed a dog biscuit :) The cafe is bright, clean and trendy. Great coffees with a delicious looking array of fresh pastries.

Enjoyed a nice casual lunch in the conservatory area, food etc was good but wanted to give a shout out to Brad. Efficient friendly service is an increasingly rare thing these days but Brad's service and attention was impressive - thank you!

Great service, clean restaurant, and great food. The staff were helpful and knowledgeable, and the food was prepared and cooked onsite, they squeeze there in orange juice, which was exquisite. We both had one of their own sausage rolls which again was spot on.

It was a nice meal in a clean establishment. I wouldn’t say it’s a pub - it’s on a caravan site, and it’s more like a cafe - Harvester-ish. Most meals are deep fried. We were served by two members of staff. The man was absolutely lovely - kind, considerate and went above and beyond to make sure we were ok. The female member of staff was quite the opposite. She barely spoke and was really blunt when she did. She put down food, for example, and when we said thank you, she didn’t comment, just walked away. Felt quite frosty.

Dropped in after a trip to Norden and back. The old carriage is quite spacious, bright and attractive. Lots of outside seating on the platform and the grass bank. They also have a small book stall to raise funds for the railway. Prices are fine and the food and drinks are up to standard, but not as good as the Norden cafe.

Handy if you're staying nearby. Straightforward pub food that tastes of food! Portions not small, by any means, and prices fair.

Have used Romeos for a few years now and can’t recommend the steak wraps enough! Staff always polite and helpful as I often order over the phone and pick-up before fishing. Previously they’ve delivered to me on the pier and I’m sure they still would if I asked. Thanks!

Don’t eat here staff are disgustingly rude! Rainbow kebab across the road is much more worth the money! Don’t know why the staff thinks it’s okay to talk to customers rude and try talk behind their back and then expect their money! Rude before we even ordered a drink!

Can’t believe these are all genuine reviews. Wouldnt surprise me if they weren’t written by the owners friends. Didn’t think much of the place. Food appears to be pretty stale and not freshly made and the juices sickeningly dense with no real flavour. IMHO Not worth the bother as there are other better places available .

Very disappointed opening hours keep changing you check to see if open then find a note saying open at 8 this has been going on a long time

Best bubble waffles in the area. Warm, filling, delicious just make sure you order at the counter before joining the queue

Gorgeous as always! Just wish you sold gravy (I know it’s a northern thing) Great that you sell dog treats and are dog friendly too!
