Romeos Piri Piri Swanage in Purbeck

Ordered collection meal for family of 5 Kept waiting after pickup time as clearly not enough staff working. Missed my little boys chicken and one for the burger orders was wrong. Tried to contact to rectify order by phone a number of time - no answer. Would advise avoid.

Great fast-ish food! Freshly cooked, delicious chicken and burgers with a good choice of flavour options . Wraps are filling and great value, burgers are generous and tasty, and the chicken was really succulent. Friendly staff helped us choose flavour options - hot bbq sauce was amazing! Would highly recommend for a quick and tasty meal.

My wife and i ordered a chicken wrap and chicken pitta with fries and piri fries. They were absolutely delicious! Not greasy, tasty and good vfm. It arrived over 30 mins early. Lovely stuff. Well recommended

Swanage doesn't have much of a take away and if you live on Purbeck were a tad rural..... romeos have great fast food, lovely staff and a good menu. We can often phone ahead and place an order and pick up, or pop in and order or order via the app. The burgers are freshly made and the chick is seasoned so well. We can often pop in after football practice and my lad is happy to munch away. Peri peri chips are awesome!

Lovely staff, Fair prices. Always on time, beyond generous servings from all the takeaway meals I've gotten. Highly recommend!

I ordered a Virginia burger, fries and an avacado salad ,it was amazing . Great service and the crispiest fries I have ever had. If you haven't been before your definitely missing out!

Used online ordering system got charged 50p to use it. When I got there got some garbled excuse for half chicken not being ready as they had to cook a whole chicken. What rubbish. Don't offer a service then take a customers money and don't deliver. Will add this to local FB group. AVOID

The staff spent more time cleaning the front store windows than serving customers or cooking. I had to wait a long time to be served despite making myself know, the attitude of the cashier was entitled and didn't apologise for the log wait as well as looking very unkempt. The food was overpriced, took a considerable time to cook with others waiting long after my food had been given to me even though they had not ordered anything large nor complicated. The burgers were bland and stodgy. Wouldn't go again. Go to Wimpy instead.

Been using for a while now, which says it all. Ordered for delivery each time and even though at busy times you can wait about 1 hour for your food, it's worth it. The website is easy to use, and tells you how long it will be to either collect OR have it delivered before you order, handy. Drivers are always cheerful and always on time. The Food. I have tried a good variety of food from here and have enjoyed it all. Freshly cooked to order and very tasty. I am trying to find something I didn't like, but it difficult, so I am being picky when I say the BBQ sauce is a little (and just a little) bit too sweet (yet I still keep ordering it). Price? you get what you pay for so for me its worth every penny. I do recommend you try them out.

Yes I am a local and yes I always order from the best Chicken shop . I have nothing bad to say about Romeo's . My food is always amazing , I don't mind waiting even if it is sometimes late . Don't worry it wasn't late last night. It was on time. I always get the crispy chicken wrap with halloumi inside with a side of peri peri salt chips and a can of Rio. My husband's was the same but with a Fanta can . Amazing food . I would have taken a picture but I didn't want my food to go cold as I love my halloumi hot . So I ate it straight away 🤣. But I have to say you keep changing the peri peri salt I don't mind and not complaining . I will always keep ordering and supporting local businesses. Don't worry I don't like tap water like the person below . So I won't ask for some . I'd rather not be petty, cheap and give you one star over tap water. I would support and buy a bottle of water ✌️ . I'll take it that they were holiday people .

Awful customer service. Refused to serve tap water after ordering £40-£50 of food, decided to not eat there as a result and we were heckled by staff as we left!

Had a lovely take away from here. Chicken wings and half chicken with medium peri peri was delicious but the skin was not crisp at all. Chicken breast was skinless, moist and a very generous portion size. Peri peri fries were a generous portion size, crisp and tasty but would have preferred a bit less salt. Overall a good meal and the staff were really friendly. Half chicken was a 40 minuet wait, so would just call ahead in advance to order.

A very well deserved 5* review! If you need something to cure those head banging, hard days. Order yourself a large Naga wrap. The cure to any emotional trauma! Find yourself falling closer to the noose? CHEESY FRIES! BANG! CURED! Every time it’s banging food. Very quick and as much flavour as you could imagine Jennifer Anniston’s , you know what, tasting like. FYI all the food is amazing, but trust my recommendations!

Heard really good things about this place I ordered a chicken burger to be greeted by a hair in my burger which I brushed aside but then bitten in to the chicken burger which was raw! I couldn’t be bothered to call and complain but won’t be using again and overpriced.

It can always be tricky to find somewhere selling halal food when on holiday, and fortunately came across this place in Swanage whilst on a day trip. Romeos is a small piri piri chicken joint, mainly designed for takeaways but has a few tables, enough for my group of 12. Only the chicken is halal but that was good enough for us. We ordered mainly chicken wings and some halloumi wraps and everything we had tasted pretty good. The sauce for the wings was delicious and the wraps were a decent size. They even threw in a couple of extra portions of chips for free. We did think it was a little expensive for what it was, but the owner did point out they are in a tourist location…fair enough! If I was ever in the area I would go back again.

They say best burgers in town. Well as a burger lover, the big boss burger is one of the best burgers I’ve ever had. It was so juicy and tender and reasonably priced. Stayed in Swanage for a week and had three of them!

Just had food from here, first time as on holiday. Read reviews and we thought would give it a go. Hubbies chicken had naga sauce on it, thought it would be hotter than it was, I don’t like spice and found it ok. No onion in my chicken pitta, onion rings and sweet potato fries good, 2 portions of garlic bread, both of which burnt. Was ok, but expected it to be better

I must say the service from a young man was very polite and patient while we chose our order with good humour. The chicken burger with medium flavour was delicious. The bun was toasted so had a slight crunch, the chicken was very crispy and the sauce used was so good I could eat here often if I lived nearby. My partner had the double cheese burger which had a loved size of beef meat. The chips and wedges were cooked nice and crispy.

Better than any London Nando’s the chicken is high quality, really tasty and great value. Really good peri peri fries too. Really pleased to have discovered this takeaway.

Although this is early season the food was excellent. Delicious home made burgers. Staff were very friendly and efficient. Couldn't fault it

The food was good .. and as expected. Its a wanna be Nandos. The reason I have marked it down though is the staff .. one member in particular was coughing while cooking in the kitchen and swore at his colleagues (who seemed terrified of him).

Came here today for lunch at 14:30 , we both got the chicken burger meal.. absolutely amazing! Great price too! I rate this better than Roosters Piri Piri & Nando’s! Massive thanks to you guys!

Personally disgusted how Romeo’s peri Peri chicken in swanage Dorset England think it’s acceptable to not serve the crispy chicken rap this has truly upset me

2 take away meals = 10/10! The most succulent chicken with lovely marinades - crispy fries & fab service! Waiting for freshly cooked food is fine with me - I’d be worried if it was to quick!

The staff were very accommodating in taking our order. We ordered two burgers and were allowed to swap a couple of ingredients without incurring any extra charge and without any fuss. The staff were very pleasant and efficient, and the burgers were tremendous!

I had the hash brown veggie burger when visiting swanage. Different to veggie burgers elsewhere but it was lovely. Service was quick and the restaurant was clean with friendly staff. Would definitely return.
