Fawn are the best coffee purveyors in town, and the fresh scone with jam and cream was so delicious and satisfying! We’ll be back as soon as the kiosk opens up again for a walk around the gardens and an afternoon snack and coffee. Really great attraction for the National Trust property!
We had planned to go to Brunello as I am vegan and my friend is gluten free. However we wanted to support a small business and I had seen Zoe’s on Facebook. So glad we changed our plans. Had an amazing fried breakfast each and took a slice of cake home.
Staff were so friendly and so on Monday I took my 8 year old after school as they do an activity and food for £6. He did toppings on a small pizza which they then cooked and served with their meal of sausage and chips. They also decorated some little chocolate cornflake cakes which he took home
Not a review, just a note on the places history.
Up until late 1985 the place was known as The Cavendish Hotel, so the "new" name is actually a return, sort of, to its original.
It became a Whitbread owned and managed pub.
Managers Henry and Sue Thurmann pursuaded Whitbread to put some money into the place. In late 1985 or early 86, the old lounge and public bars were knocked into one and the place was generally modernized. It became a very successful pub, renamed "The Corner House", into the 90s when Whitbread sold off all their pubs.
Dull disclosure: I worked as a seasonal barman there from 1985 to 1989.
We ordered a fabulous dinner to celebrate our anniversary. The food is absolutely delicious. Starter was arancini followed by aromatic chicken and braised beef rolls. Dessert was tiramisu and lemon torte. Our food was delivered on time and still hot. Will definitely order again soon.
We visited The Bristol Hotel at the weekend for a friend's birthday
What a fantastic day out it was the staff were absolutely amazing they were so friendly
Ash and Mark your a credit to the pub.
The fire was alight the bar was spotless we will definitely return

The staff in this branch of greggs are absolutely lovely. In particular a lovely lady called Steph. She always has a smile and nothing is ever too much. She also loves to have a chat. The branch on the high street is always prestine when she is working.
Had been meaning to visit for years and finally managed to find the opportunity. We weren’t disappointed. Enjoyed the fish and chips (we’d recommend booking an early slot as the food is freshest at the start of service). But the real highlight were the 3 or 4 salads to accompany. All of which made the meal excellent value (£13.50 per head + drinks). Friendly service and great views too. We’ll be returning for sure!
