The Market Kitchen in North Somerset

WE LOVE THE MARKET KITCHEN!! This is our favourite cafe in the whole of Somerset, all the food is locally sourced & delicious! The staff are super friendly! Moral of the story is, 100/5 can’t recommend more. Ps Try the specials

Tucked away behind the village hall, this isn’t the sort of place you’re likely to stumble across by accident, but clearly there must be plenty of people in the know, as although we managed to get a table ok, by the time we left it was full to capacity with people waiting. We were there for breakfast and the menu offered a decent choice with all the usual options. The only thing missing perhaps were Eggs Benedict or one of it’s siblings, but there was certainly more on there than your usual greasy spoon with other options including smoked salmon and avocado. I opted for the “mini English” which consisted of two rashers of bacon, a sausage, baked beans, fried egg and toast. It was served piping hot and was all pretty good, in fact I can’t really fault it at all, especially for the price charged. An accompanying latte was also pretty decent.

Warm welcome, delicious breakfast and good coffee. Well located just off the A38.

What a gem of a cafe to discover in Churchill. Good parking, great atmosphere, lovely food. I think the locals have been keeping it a secret for too long.

These guys are good! The most fantastic vegetarian sausages that you'll find. I noticed a member of staff spraying cleaner into a cloth first before wiping the table rather than spraying onto the table. That level of care tells you something. Thank you team. Keep it coming.

Had a mini breakfast en route to Bristol airport. It's a nice cafe with a good atmosphere and friendly staff, the food is tasty and well presented, they can do some straight swap substitutes or you can pay a little extra for others. Hash brown was more like a rosti and a little greasy but really tasty, free parking. Meal in pic cost £8.25.

Excellent little hidden gem outside of Bristol airport. We went to kill the extra time and the place is amazing. Definately a stop we will keep going to on our airport runs!

Lovely breakfast, flying visit but very nice

A truly hidden gem in the area! The team here are always super friendly, helpful and flexible to meet our varied dietary needs and the food, drinks and cakes are fantastic! Truly lucky to have this less than a mile away and always surprising how few people know about it!

What a wonderful cafe stopped here for the first time and had the small breakfast and a nice coffee. The staff were amazing very friendly and welcoming really patient as we took ages to decide. Lovely all on one level really clean toilets and plenty of parking. I will definitely be back.

This is a real gem of a cafe, despite being off the beaten track it's busy so they must be doing something right. Had a BLT sarnie plus coffee and cake, all were elite 👌 will definitely visit again soon

Perfect breakfast and atmosphere

Little tucked away café but seems popular with the locals. They serve good healthy fresh food. Try the soup of the day. The coffee is top tier too. The staff are friendly as well.

Beautiful & cozy restaurant! Was looking for a place close to the Bristol Airport to rest while waiting for friends to arrive. The Market Kitchen has such a cozy vibe & had the most delicious breakfast! More than happy to have stumbled across this place! 100% recommendation. 💖

Lovely cafe, great coffee and beautiful breakfast with great selection of cakes on offer and fresh ones being made whilst I was there. Staff were lovely with a very friendly atmosphere. Stopped here before taking my dog to Langford referral hospital (around 5 minutes away) ideal location to work from whilst waiting for appointment as dog friendly and good wifi. Would 100% recommended!

The best chicken & bacon salad in North Somerset 🏆

This is a fabulous cafe hidden away in Churchill just off the A38. What makes this such a good cafe is the use of genuinely local produce crafted to make you fresh and flavoursome food, so much better than many cafés. The team are friendly and welcoming. For such a hidden gem, this cafe is extremely busy venue, open 7 days a week. I love it.

Despite its slightly remote location, the Market Kitchen is always filled (but not over filled) with customers, giving a buzz of activity and conversation, with much neighbourly chat. The food is always well presented and perfectly cooked, and the prices are not steep. the staff are pleasant, and their overt commitment to food sustainability and quality is heartwarming. Thoroughly recommended for a meal out or a welcome break on a long journey

Best cooked breakfast around. Quality ingredients cooked with real care and few twists. Wider menu looks great too but I've yet to try it.

Fantastic little cafe, the menu is perfect everything on there is great you can't go wrong. If you have enough room after the homemade cakes are amazing 👌.

Amazing place ! Loved the breakfast and milkshakes also quite good for catering for lactose and dairy intolerant-wish they had more cakes that catered for combined dietary requirements. But still a fantastic experience xxx

How long does it take to make a breakfast..

My husband & I stumbled on it by accident on the way to the airport. Great cafe/ coffee shop. We only had coffees,but great coffee, good service, fab smelling food, great selection and also some very nice cakes on offer. It was busy, staff were great, and everyone seemed happy. Would definitely use The Market Kitchen again.

We did a google search for a nearby Cafe and randomly chose the Market kitchen. The salads were large fresh and varied , the chicken , Bacon salad had heaps of meT. The goats milk cheese was slightly warmed and soft. Basically everything was delicious. Sadly we were only passing through or we would definitely return!!

Great cafe. Fantastic salad and ploughman’s with brilliant portion size for great price. Friendly staff. Good coffee. Ideal stop on way to the airport with a play park nearby so little ones can stretch their legs after a long journey

Very friendly staff but I had to pay £8.75for a bacon roll and a coffee! The bacon was cooked to order and the assistant was going to put 4 rashers in the roll which would have been good value, but she was told by the lady in charge to only put 2 rashers in so decided I'd never buy from there again!

I reeeeeellleey reeeeeellleey don't want to share this with anyone! BUT I have to as the breakfast was the best I've had for many a year, AND !!!! they even had Yorkshire tea in a see-through tea pot, what's not to like. If you don't believe me, then don't go, but you'll be missing out. Well done, and thanks for the great food and service. Keep up the good work. 10/10

Lovely place, great ethos, delicious food

I have eaten here on many occasions and never been let down with poor food or service. The staff are very helpful, the food tastes fabulous and the bonus is my dogs are allowed in. It's a really convenient spot to meet with friends because there's a carpark right outside.

Just a quick pit stop for coffee and cake. Pleasant staff, great food and a good feel to the place.

Fabulous little cafe open everyday with inside and outside seating. Great cyclist stop. Whole range of food with lovely cakes. Becoming a regular stop for us.

What a fantastic little gem this is. Love quirky cafes like this. Lovely setting, clean and fresh inside, great ambience and chilled music to boot. Staff are lovely and very attentive. The breakfast was spot on, all locally sourced and tasted lovely. Definitely be back again, very friendly and they allow dogs...which was a winner as I was out walking mine...
