Great little cafe. Came for afternoon tea and my god it was good. Loads of food and very good for the price. Food and cakes were delicious. Will definitely come back again.

A fabulous family business. This small cafe serves a lovely breakfast, quality lunches and afternoon teas. When Debbie is working, service is extremely pleasant.

Lovely little cafe. Very good service, delicious food and very reasonably priced. We ordered a panini each, and wow was it filling. Would definitely return and also highly recommend.

We visited for breakfast on two occasions. The staff are so friendly and helpful and if you just want an intimate little cafe with no frills and good food then this is the ideal place to visit - very reasonably priced and if you have children there is a nice park directly opposite to take them after eating.

Went to Parkside Cafe yesterday, our daughter gave us a voucher for afternoon tea it was absolutely delicious, would highly recommend it. The atmosphere there was great and the owners were brilliant looking after all that were there nothing was to much trouble. Thank you

Dan and all his staff are always so friendly. Nothing is too much and always service with a smile. This cafe is perfect for Locking.

We went for a Christmas Afternoon Tea & was blown away with the quality of the food & coffee. Everything is home made & fresh & you can tell how much pride & care is taken with each sandwich, scone, cake etc. My partner has a “healthy” appetite & I was concerned that he’d still be hungry afterwards but how wrong was I?! We ended up taking mince pies & our Walnut & Coffee cake home as we just couldn’t eat it all. I seriously can not recommend this place enough. These days it is hard to find somewhere that does an afternoon tea that isn’t just a load of mass produced cakes & sandwiches thrown on a cake stand, well you certainly don’t get that here! Can’t wait to go back, nor can my other half! Well done Parkside Cafe, you’ve got it spot on.

If you are looking for somewhere to come for a great freshly cooked breakfast, lunch or just a slice of cake and a coffee you can’t go wrong with Parkside. A great example of a local independent business who welcome both locals and people from further afield with the same level of service. How Dan and his crew produce wonderful honest food in such a small kitchen is a mystery. The cakes are home made and you will be amazed at the cream tea’s Parkside Cafe is not my closest place to get breakfast but it’s always my first choice. It never disappoints and you would pay a good deal more for food of the same quality.

Went as one of a party of four. Ordered four afternoon teas. Food quality fantastic with a good selection of sandwiches, home made scones, home made cakes. We all have hearty appetites but ended up bringing nearly half of the food ordered home to consume later. A very small premises run as a family business. I wish them all the best for the future, it is deserved.

We visited today for afternoon tea and I have to say it’s probably the nicest I’ve had. Lovely choice of sandwiches, cakes and home made scones. We had extra hot drinks which weren’t charged for. I loved the china cups and the staff were friendly as well. Very impressed and will be back again soon.

Breakfast taken. Cheap quality and cheap price. Sausage not to my taste and neither was the ‘butter’. To be expected I suppose. Egg cooked well. It filled a gap but I wouldn’t have it again. Pleasant staff.

Been twice now. So impressed with the service and quality. The food is superb, with a proper fresh salad. The team are so friendly and the homemade cakes are nothing short of wonderful.

Saw the reviews online and decided to give it a go, usually use super market restaurants, but they have gone down hill lately, especially morrisons , who used to be very good. Dan saw me approaching and greeted me and showed me to a table. As soon as I settled, the first thing he asked was my choice of drink. Within a minute, a beautiful big china teapot was placed on the table, and Dan went to cook a marvellous breakfast. It was such a nice change to be able to have a nice cup of tea while waiting for the meal( which only took a few minutes) He also put a plate of the best toast I think I have ever had on the table. Four cups of tea 9Oroper tea) later all food gone , I was completely satisfied. Thank you Dan, will definitely be coming again.

Visited while on holiday in the area and it was such a treat. Really lovely breakfast. I had a traditional fry up breakfast which was so tasty, cooked fresh and very reasonably priced. We also took some rocky road to go which was delicious! The owner was really friendly and gave us some great tips on places to visit with our toddler while in the area. Overall great breakfast experience!

The food and service at this cafe are excellent. The food is freshly prepared and very reasonably priced. The afternoon tea is amazing.

Lovely place for afternoon tea with friends. Sandwiches made with proper bread, delicious fillings, and homemade coleslaw. So much cake we couldn’t eat it all and brought doggy bags home!! Friendly staff and great service as always.

This cafe , run by Dan and staff, provide a lovely choice of wonderful dishes, and the cakes are out of this world, and all home cooked. Best cafe I have been to, and staff so friendly. Would highly recommend.

Went here for lunch. Menus on table ready, main and kids. Staff friendly and approachable.Paninis were delicious and freshly made, good size meal with salad, coleslaw and handful of crisps. Kids meal deal was great size for a 7 year old. Atmosphere was really enjoyable.

Fabulous food ( we had the afternoon tea) all homemade, very friendly and welcoming people, attractive and interesting decor, I really recommend it!

Visited for an afternoon tea this week and was lovely! Great value for £11 - 2 sandwiches each (4 slices of bread), 2 scones each with cream and jam and 2 slices of their cakes each! Also unlimited tea we were there for several hours finishing it and still had to take some home! Lovely hosts.

This is the 3rd time we have visited this delightful cafe, twice previously for breakfast and today for afternoon tea. The food is second to none, the atmosphere very friendly and the proprietor is amazingly friendly, helpful and works 'his socks off', nothing too much trouble, would highly recommend.

Treated to afternoon tea as an end of term gift which was absolutely perfect. All freshly home made,scones still warm,plenty of sandwiches & vegetarian/vegan choice of falafel wraps ,endless tea & delicious selection of cakes &what we couldn't manage to eat was all carefully wrapped for us to take home.Highly recommend this lovely cafe .

I really can't say enough about this place. It's wonderful. I chose the café for my 50th birthday afternoon tea. Right from the early enquiry Dan was so very very helpful, able to accommodate my requests and cope with my regular messages with prompt replies! On the day the café was set up perfectly, with wonderful vintage china and fresh roses on the tables ready for my 20 guests. We were able to put our own bunting up and Dan and his lovely wife Tracy handled the extras I'd brought with me - bubbles and a cake of cheese. What can I say about the food! - wonderful selection of fresh sandwiches, packed with fillings and catering for all tastes - including vegetarian and vegan guests. Gorgeous freshly made scones with lashings of clotted cream available. And then cake, lots of cake and lots of choice -all home made and lovely. And the tea kept flowing all afternoonService - Nothing was to much for Tracy and Dan, they are wonderfully warm people and so friendly and attentive to all my guests . They made us feel so at home and looked after all our needs.And what can I say about leftovers - guests took cake home with them and I still have some scones in freezer!For personal reasons my birthday could have been very difficult for me but their caring, friendly nature and a real wish to see everyone have a good time made it a wonderful afternoon, and I thank them for that.On another note - breakfasts are very good to !

Wonder afternoon tea! Loads of fresh food, we even took the left overs home. Lovely staff and the selection of sandwich filling, bread, and cakes was gorgeous.

Visited for breakfast with two friends and couldn’t fault it. Wonderful warm welcome, huge pot of tea and fabulous full English. A shame I had no room for cake, as they looked scrummy, especially the coffee and walnut (my favourite!) Well worth a visit.

I went here yesterday with my sisters ,as they had been before and highly recommend it, on arrival we received a really lovely welcome ordered a high tea we had the choice of a selection of sandwiches also white or brown, everything was served on China tea set and a big tea pot which was replenished as much as we wanted On a 3 tier stand scones fruit and plain jam and cream and to top it all large slices of cake we couldn’t eat it all so we took lots home with usthis is real value for money can’t wait for next week as I’m taking my husband

I have visited here on a few occasions the most recent visit was with a group of friends for a baby shower . The Parkside cafe couldn’t do enough for us & ensured our visit was enjoyable from start to finish .

What a Cafe,it's Family run.You get a great view to the park that's opposite the Cafe.You can eat in or out,it's such a Welcoming atmosphere,lovely & cosy.I went there with my sisters for a cooked breakfast ,You get a lovely welcome ,the 3 of us had,Eggs,Bacon,Beans,Sausages,Mushrooms & Toast,& 2 Pots Of Teas.Ladies & Gentlemen they Cook one mean Breakfast.They also do Cream Teas,Ploughmans,Jacket pots,Chocolate Cakes,lemon cakes,scones.This Place Is A Big Must

Visted this afternoon for afternoon tea. Totally outstanding. Beautifully presented sandwiches with generous fillings on good bread. Freshly baked scones and fabulous coffee and walnut cake! Staff were friendly and the service was excellent - perfect way to run a business. Food was reasonably priced and very generous (got to bring home what we couldn't eat)! Just eating the Victoria sponge now - super. We will be back!

Called in for breakfast we had the smaller cooked breakfast which was well cooked and tasty including mushrooms which you don't get with most other restaurants.

We went here for brunch on the way from Devon. This place is Cosy quaint, like home freshly made breakfast lunch and dinner Highly recommended!

Fantastic my son is 15 and fed up with dry gluten free. I ordered a cake with Dan and it was beautiful. He was over the moon. One very happy teenager thank you. I have ordered my other sons there as well

I couldn’t find enough stars (5 doesn’t seem enough!) for Parkside Cafe! Have been on a number of occasions with different friends who have loved the experience. The atmosphere is really friendly without being overbearing, the staff are really lovely and helpful, you can see it has been lovingly and tastefully decorated with lots of thought put into it. I love the way the style has been made to suit lots of different people but so pretty and organically done . The food is delicious, really good choice available and reasonably priced. I’ve tried different things on the lunch menu and I’m never disappointed. I really enjoyed the ploughman’s, so much on the plate and so tasty! Then yesterday me and a friend went for an afternoon cream tea do two. Wow!! So much wonderful food to eat! Not all is in the pic either! Delicious and served on such a pretty cake stand with a beautiful dinner set too. A really lovely experience and I’m so glad I have found them, thank you to everyone at the cafe for making my catch up with friends so enjoyable

My children and I met friends there for breakfast. The cooked breakfast was very tasty and reasonably priced. The staff were more than happy to cater around what the children wanted.

This is a hidden gem in Locking village and well worth a visit. The food is delicious, the service is excellent and the friendly atmosphere makes me want to visit again and again. This is my favourite place to go :-)

As per the other reviews about this cafe we could not fault it. The atmosphere was lovely and the service spot on. We ordered the afternoon tea which was huge, almost too big but we got to take the left overs home so made for a perfect evening tea and cake. The sandwiches were very generous with the fillings and on lovely bread. The addition of a bowl of crisps and coleslaw was a nice touch. We will be back and bringing others with us. A really good find.

what ever you like if they have It then Dan will provide it with his friendly welcoming banter. always pop in when down this way & never disappointed with the specials Lasagna home made with salad & you won't leave Hungary. so many regulars that even l recognise local customers. pop in & see for yourself.

Had a lovely visit at the Parkside Cafe, very welcoming staff, great service and great food. I highly recommend anyone to visit this Cafe.

What a perfect place for a family! We stayed here for hours as our children played happily in the park while we drank coffee and ate delicious cake. Then a lunch stop as well before heading off. It’s a great spot with brilliant food, I would highly recommend a visit.

I wanted to do a small bridal shower for my daughter and her ‘older’ relatives and afternoon tea at park side cafe was a perfect setting. Dan and his wife Tracy set up the cafe for us as with bunting, banners and balloons , my daughter was totally thrilled. We had a fantastic selection of sandwiches, scones and cakes all washed down with lots of tea. My daughter is gluten free so she had her very own selection of everything that we all had. My favourite had to be the beef and horseradish closely followed by the smoked salmon. Nothing was too much trouble for our hosts and they made us all feel welcome and comfortable throughout our visit. I would not hesitate to recommend this cafe to anyone and we took home what we couldn’t eat for supper later. Exceptionally well priced to.

Visited Parkside Cafe after it was recommended by a friend. Lovely sunny day and was lucky enough to get a good spot outside to enjoy the sun. But nicely decorated inside also if the weather isn’t so good.

Met up with a friend for lunch. She lives in the village and has been here on several occasions since it’s opening. There is a good selection of sandwiches all served with a coleslaw salad and crisps and jacket potato’s. The homemade cakes are yummy nice size portions and very good prices I can recommend the coffee & walnut.

I visited for my birthday with my monther-in-law and son for afternoon tea. When making the booking a few days prior they took the time to ask me our sandwiches and cake preferences so they would be available on the day.

Afternoon tea for lunch and why not. Delicious and so much of it we had a doggy bag to take away. sandwiches in hand cut bread with a variety of fillings , with sides of salad and the most delicious home made coleslaw , moist carrot cake and scones that had just come out of the oven with home made jam and clotted cream and all served on bone china. Will definitely be back with other members of our family who can't wait to try it.

Well I've tasted quite a few afternoon teas but this place is the best without a shadow of a doubt. Fantastic selection of homemade cake, sandwiches (which you can choose), coleslaw, crisps and fresh salad. Great value for money at £9.95 pp.

Another visit this morning to this lovely little village cafe. Having grown up in the village it's so nice to finally have this little hub bringing everyone together. The cafe is small, but very quaint. But from the moment you walk in the owners Dan & Tracey give you the friendliest welcome.

This is a great little cafe that serves freshy prepared paninis,jacket potatoes and full breakfasts ect to order. and the tastiest home made cakes home made soups and Wednesday specials. All made and served with a smile and freindly conversation

Local Cafe that opened at the end of November. This place may only have 6 tables to sit in and a couple outside but that's what makes this place. The owners are friendly and remember your orders.

visited cafe with grandchildren and had a late breakfast for us and really enjoyed it. children were accommodated with their preferences of things they like on their plates so empty plates. Lovely cakes made on the premises which are hard to choose from with choice of drinks for children with a perfect latte for me. set us up for the day and on our way to see Santander in village church hall. crayons & paper provided for drawing so people can chat as everyone is friendly here and lovely village cafe.
