The best restaurants in Mabe Cornwall, Isles of Scilly South West

Lovely coffee, my friend had the avocado on toast with a poached egg, this was great too, service as always good. A bit chilly even with blankets on so it would be nice if the wood burner was on!

Adam & George catered our 40th wedding anniversary recently at the Cornish Place near Falmouth. Food was fantastic and well received by our guests, we did a video review on the night which I hope they use to prove the authenticity of this review. They supplied food and catering service which was impeccable cannot recommend them enough! good luck in your Marathon George just think of the beer at the end!

Just been for a meal in the Royal Oak, it's the 4th time we have been and it has never disappointed. No photos, because it was too good to wait. I had trio of fish with chips and veg, which was very reasonably priced. My wife had Hake with crab crust. Pudding was also amazing. Quality food and quality wine and beer. 10 mins from railway station.

The sign outside says good food and a warm welcome. There was neither. Popped in on a mid week evening to find no food available, a fire that was made up but unlit, and no welcome. The place was deserted. No guesses as to why.

Lovely little pub. Just how they was years ago and how they should be. Food was nice also. :-)

What a hidden gem. Out on an industrial estate, this taproom is a bustling and friendly space with a good beer selection (if many of the brews are a little samey) and some great food. The cheese-free pizza was exellent. My only quibble is the prices, which were high for drinks...

OMG..absolute deliciousness 😋 on my plate. Freshly made fragrant Foccacia Bread topped with beautiful Mediterranean Vegetables, salty Feta Cheese and drizzled with herby pesto dressing.....so happy I managed take a pic before devouring....The Olive Grove Bistro 🫒 ...my go to eatery

The café had been recommended to us, with special regard to its proximity to Stithians Lake. Unfortunately, we feel the place doesn't quite live up to its billing. Not well signposted and perfunctory service (on enquiring about their sandwich selection we were just pointed towards a menu written up on a blackboard). In the end, my partner and I elected to just had pastries and an Americano coffee. The coffee was okay, but we've tasted better. A vegan breakfast is offered but where the sandwiches are concerned the selection is purely for carnivores. A pleasant enough visit but, sadly, not one we're likely to repeat.

WE have lived "up the road" for 7 years and this is the first time we have been, but not again. Although the fish and chip meal deal was tasty and good value our wives were disappointed with their lemon sole which was catch of the day and should therefore have been outstanding. It should have been advised that it was a whole fish and not filleted and they were left with a pile of bones and hardly any actual fish to eat. The staff never asked if the meal was to our satisfaction, just cleared the plates away. The room was very cold and draughty. Sorry to say we will not visit again.

Lovely staff, terrible food. The prices they charge are obscene for Brake Bros slop. I only eat there as otherwise I'd starve which on occasion would be preferable. An FXPLUS enterprise which, much like the rest of the Penryn campus, is money for old rope. So rarely are there healthy vegan, veggie or even green options that aren't hidden under stodge.
