Nice food, simple menu and great pies. Glad we arrived early as the pub is very popular. Would have preferred to book online, however my phone message was promptly returned.

What a fabulous find this place is. Friendly atmosphere, helpful staff and the food is exceptional. And I really do mean exceptional. The pies are actually made on premises and are packed to the brim with meat. None of your puff pastry lids floating on a sea of gravy here. The chateaubriand, cooked to perfection, was the best I've had anywhere. The vegetables were delicious. Stayed in the Desert Orchid room which has a large, very comfortable bed. The pictures tell you everything you need.(Recommended). We'll be coming back again soon, for sure.

Amazing food, stoped in for some food on way to Scotland. Best burger I've ever had and the staff were lovely.

Very good food & service but prices for glasses of wine are excessive @£10 for 250l. No wine list offered or price cited. A mistake - beware.

Nice pub. Great selection of local beers. Rooms are basic but okay. Simon was very nice.

We had a wonderful lunch on their tapas menu - full of flavour. This pub has opened only recently and offers something different from the normal pub grub.

What a wonderful pub, great food, beers and staff. So friendly and welcoming. Could not do more for us. And even put the rugby six nations on. Some guests were vegan and the menu choice was fab. Vegan roasts were delicious and the sundae was genius. Can not recommend enough. We were a party of 9 and every person enjoyed muchly!
