The best restaurants in Downlands West Berkshire South East

We had a lovely lunch for my sister’s birthday. The staff were very friendly and the meal was tasty. The pub is off the beaten track but it’s worth the trip. Whilst we were there there was a sizeable herd of wild deer in the field opposite. A great country pub!

A Well cooked meal, hot and well presented. The Ibex is situated in Chaddleworth, a pretty village in West Berkshire, about 7 miles North of Newbury. A good chef.

Brilliant country pub. Had the best Sunday roast lunch I have ever had. Thought given to the vegetables as well as the meat - altogether delicious.

Very good food & service but prices for glasses of wine are excessive @£10 for 250l. No wine list offered or price cited. A mistake - beware.

Excellent quality and quantity of food, Service and personal service. nothing was too much trouble. Highly recommended.

I think the owners go to Tescos and serve frozen stuff. All look like garbage. Owners and staff looks like they are prioned and big presure.

What a wonderful pub, great food, beers and staff. So friendly and welcoming. Could not do more for us. And even put the rugby six nations on. Some guests were vegan and the menu choice was fab. Vegan roasts were delicious and the sundae was genius. Can not recommend enough. We were a party of 9 and every person enjoyed muchly!
