Our first visit to Vesuvius Garforth and we were really impressed. Authentic Neapolitan style pizzas cooked to perfection. Staff were very friendly and professional. A lovely experience. We’ve just got back from a holiday in Italy, we only visit Neapolitan style pizzerias and we’ve eaten pizza in many regions of Italy, including Naples. The pizzas at Vesuvius Garforth were as good if not better than anything we had before. Well done to everyone at Vesuvius, you should be very proud of your pizzeria.

My family of 15 including 2 young children always say let’s meet at The George. Throughout the past 13 years, we as a family understand why The George is because we are always welcomed and everyone just welcomes you. The food looks appealing, the menu gives so many options and if you need further persuasion to come and enjoy… it is always full, the way staff always are attentive, warm and a smile, respect and will always put you first as a customer . Debbie and Jason are amazing hosts and make it special for you.

Visited today and found the whole experience pretty bad. There were issues at first with ordering - the slush puppy machine was broken, they were out of ham and when asking for a receipt at first the receipt roll didn't work. To be fair, the lady who served us was very pleasant and apologetic as were all the waiting staff. Anyway, we were told our food would be 30 minute wait, which we were ok with. 50 minutes went by and no food. I asked a waitress if they could give some sort of indication on how much longer the food will be, the lady said they would check. 10 minutes went past and the waitress didn't come back. We had now been waiting over an hour with no indication with how long the food would be. We ended up getting the food 1hr 10 mins after we ordered it. My daughter had the kids cheeseburger. This was inedible, it was overcooked and tasted gross, none of this got eaten. We saw another woman got a refund for the same burger but at this point there was a huge queue at the bar and we didn't want to wait any longer. My club sandwich was £10.95, it didn't look great and certainly didn't seem value for money (see photo), to be fair it tasted nice. My dad had the scampi which was £13.95. He said it tasted nice but the portion of scampi seemed very small for the amount he got. All in all, a very bad experience was had. Its a shame because the crazy golf was so good.

We were staying for one night as "dinner, bed & breakfast" guests & the whole experience was wonderful. The restaurant location, ambience, friendly staff and delicious food all worth 5 stars. Nice to find local English wine on offer too. Our only niggle was that 2/3rds of the items on the menu had a extra supplement to pay which left us feeling "cheated" having already paid significantly for our DB&B. The breakfast offering the next morning was all great with lots of variety.

AMAZING! My partner booked this restaurant for my birthday and I was blown away! The service is amazing! All staff were polite and made my evening that little more special! The service was quick and well paced, the drinks were lovely and the food is Devine! I would eat there every day if I could. I would recommend this place for special occasions as it is a smart dress restaurant. I would even consider it to be engagement material!

Staying at the hotel - have eaten lunch and dinner there. The menu is all easy griddle, microwave or fried food. Which is a real surprise considering How long it took to prepare! The burger also arrived and missed the flavours / sauces in the description and to add insult to injury the condiments were all sachet. The bar was SLOWER than an unmanned bar, and no table service if your in easy chairs. So you have to 'claim' your space with a jumper before a TWENTY minute wait at the bar to be served. Even then they were sold out of a number of lines. If mobility is an issue be aware there are steps from the entrance to the restaurant - there is a chair lift, but still. On the plus side, it make me resolved to try alternatives nearby and I found some great places.

An excellent meal in a well decorated and well presented traditional pub. Annabel, our waitress was very attentive and courteous. The ham hock and cheese pie was delicious with a well cooked selection of veggies. I shall definitely return when I am next in the area.
