If you don't want to go to the Granary Restaurant (or it's too busy), The Old Dairy is a very good alternative. Friendly staff serve a selection of drinks, snacks and ice cream; there's even a book and flower shop. It is also dog friendly.

Genuinly the best takeaway around Tenterden. The others are overpriced, small portions and always hit and miss. The new golden kitchen in Biddenden without fail nails it every time !

Guys, you need to get yourselves to The West House. We were lucky enough to stay in their rooms and have dinner in their lovely dining room. The rooms are beautifully designed with lots of thoughtful touches - homemade biscuits and cake, good pour over coffee and fresh milk in the room when you arrive. Delicious food, great wine pairing, and warm attentive service in an atmospheric old weaver's cottage. I can recommend The West House without hesitation.

Friends recommended this place, so we made a special journey to visit. We both ordered crispy baked potato. Waited, waited and waited. When it came the potatoes were not cooked through. Opted for a sandwich, and waited again. We had the temerity to complain that we had that it had taken an hour and a half just to finish up with a sandwich. We were corrected by the staff, who calculated we had only been one hour twenty minutes! , and so followed some very unpleasant sarcasm, but one word of a apology. So many better places to enjoy in the area

Sorry it has taken so long to review the best roast dinner in Biddenden! Such a friendly warm place for a family meal. Don't go there expecting glitz and glamour, this is a proper countryside restaurant, you will not be disappointed!

I came for a Sunday breakfast with my wife and child last month and had a very poor meal unfortunately. I had the breakfast sandwich, the bacon was tough no hint of being crisp with a layer of unrendered almost raw fat and mostly all barely warm. My kids had the pancakes and were expecting something light and fluffy but they resembled a stodgey scone with no real taste. My wife had a cold poached egg. I dislike leaving a negative review but we were all looking forward to breakfast and at £70 ish not cheap and not worth it. One thing - I had a nice coffee and good service - just very poor food.

Had a local society dinner here a couple of nights ago. In the run up to Christmas, such dinners can sometimes be a bit of a let down but not this one. The meal served by the friendly, helpful staff in very pleasant surroundings was very tasty and more than ample. My wife is Gluten Free but her diet did not cause any problem whatsoever. We will certainly return to try their Sunday Lunch, of which we have heard very good reports.

Went for breakfast, 8 of us including 2 children, 5 & 8yrs. Breakfast was very nice, unfortunately it took so long it was almost lunch time. I’d finished a coffee and a pot of tea before it arrived. They weren’t very busy but it took an hour for the food to arrive. The food was good but let down by the very slow service

Weekday visit for food with family was very disappointing. No heating on, waited ages to get food which wasn’t good considering we were the only table eating. Beetroot tart was a very poor standard and did not fit description on the menu, chicken & veg was overcooked with a measly portion of potato, burnt burger & overcooked fish & chips, only positive my daughter could have a choice of gluten free options & the waitress that served us was very pleasant. Such a shame as quaint surroundings, won’t be rushing back.
