been several times before for breakfast and always been happy and enjoyed our visit .This time Sat 30th was very disappointing I had a full English, bacon was hard ( not crispy) there's a difference, sausages were shrivelled and hard ,had to ask for the beans to be heated as were cold and asked for a replacement fried egg as that was hard also. the assistant said sorry didn't know you wanted a really runny egg ?? no I just wanted a normal soft fried egg. so unfortunately won't be hurrying back there .We drove from Maidstone especially as well.

Really lovely place , warm & friendly staff. Pleasant, unpretentious ambience. The menu is inviting with a range of food and drinks to choose from. Managed to get a table , as was packed out. Spotted a gorgeous cat (Phoebe) laying on one of the benches. Which added to the family, cosy feel . People also brought dogs in. I was impressed with the generous and well presented food and my coffee was perfect temperature. My friend had a smoothie , which I tried. It was flavoursome & fresh tasting. I will certainly come back as it’s rare to find a place that ticks all the boxes I would like to tick, when I just want an unfussy brunch/lunch experience. Also purchased a piece of cake to takeaway.

What a wonderful cafè, a bit like stepping back in time…..old fashioned decor, old fashioned service, amazingly friendly staff, great service and THE best food! We had the best beef burger I’ve had for a very long time sitting in wonderful, cosy surroundings with a lovely friend. The food arrived hot, fresh and looked amazing - tasted even better! We just HAD to have a sweet and chose the waffle with ice cream. It was wonderful, we both struggled to finish it as it was just TOO good to leave even the tiniest bit! As for the staff, they were incredibly friendly and helpful, nothing was too much trouble. We both absolutely loved this place and can’t wait to go back. The menu was varied with something for everyone. We both had soft drinks although tea, coffee, shakes, wine and local cider were on offer. I really wanted to try the cider but sadly was driving so perhaps next time. Extremely well priced too, won’t break the bank. I am happy to recommend The Bakehouse, Biddenden, to anyone! You’d go far to find somewhere like this with the same, warm, friendly atmosphere. 5 stars.

Such a fabulous place. Delicious all day breakfast, beautifully cooked, and much more to boot. Super healthy smoothies, all home made- yum!But this is much more than just a place to eat, this is the hub of village life in Biddenden. Caroline, Emma and Jane work tirelessly to ensure a massively warm welcome is extended to both locals and non locals alike. Always full of humour and good banter, they will make sure your day feels brighter and happier. This is still a place where people can enjoy good food but still engage in the ancient human art of great conversation. There is even a restored VW camper outside which you can book for those ‘special treats.’ One of my favourite places in the beautiful Garden of England. You will never be disappointed if you visit the ever charming, ever friendly Bakehouse.

After waiting to be seated and being made to feel very awkward by the waitress totally ignoring my wife and I while she continued to laugh and joke at a nearby table, my wife finally asked if we should sit at an empty table. The waitress barked at us twice that she would be with us. As she continued to talk to her friends and ignore us, my wife said “don’t bother” and walked out. The waitress called us rude!!!! An unbelievable experience and I can safely say I have never been treated like this before. I do not think the seated customers were too impressed and I cannot believe business is so good that anyone can afford to treat people like this! This is the first time I have ever left a negative review.

We had stayed the night in the nearby West House (with rooms) and as we did not fancy the breakfast decided to come here instead and were not disappointed. Upon arrival there was not a table to accommodate the 4 of us but a couple of friendly locals moved to a smaller table which was really appreciated. This place has lots of character and each time we looked around we noticed something different. The welcome from the waitress (owner?) was very friendly. We ordered our breakfasts from the extensive menu on offer. The tea was served in a lovely traditional tea pot, the strong coffee was excellent as was the local Biddenden apple juice. Considering how busy they were (it was packed with every table taken) we were surprised at the minimal wait that it took for our food to come out. When it arrived everything was cooked very well and tasted delicious. We would return and recommend.

We discovered the Bakehouse after a morning visit to the National Trust gardens at Sissinghurst and we wanted a nearby pub for lunch. Biddenden is only a few miles away and so we popped into the Red Lion pub at 2:03 only to be told (nicely) that it was too late. I don't think that reflects well on them, actually. But right next door is The Bakehouse where we were warmly welcomed by the friendly mother and daughter owners who quickly sat all six of us down and started to take our orders. They serve wine, beer and cider as well as tea and coffee. I had a superb and enormous ploughman's lunch with pie, cheese, pickled onions and much more - it was a big feast. My wife had a humble scone (delicious and large) and the rest of us had salads and sandwiches. The food was great, the prices reasonable (see my pictures) and the service upbeat, personal and friendly. If you are going to Sissinghurst save yourself the crowded overpriced National Trust food and come hear instead. You won't be disappointed!

It looked inviting - all lit up and full of people, so we visited for breakfast on our last day. The coffee was full of flavour, the breakfast cooked perfectly and nothing was too much trouble! I took my 95 year old Mum for breakfast this morning - the first time she has been out of her house in a month as she's had a nasty bout of shingles. I chose this venue based on other TripAdvisor reviews and wasn't disappointed - far from it. Telephoned the day before to check that it would be suitable for someone with mobility issues and the young lady who answered the phone offered to reserve a table for us where there would be no steps and gave me advice on parking so that I could get as close to the door as possible. The breakfast was yummy as Sharon H says - we could choose whatever items we liked out of the 'full English' and swap one item for a different one - and the surroundings were delightful. A wood-burner burning brightly at 9am, lovely old beams and hop garlands. My Mum was so pleased we went, even though she still doesn't feel well. Thanks to the staff for taking so much care of her - made sure she had everything she wanted, and they were so friendly without being intrusive. Highly recommended, we will be going there again!

Bread was very fresh and quite thick. The cakes also looked delicious so we just had to try some? We were not disappointed. Volver.

I've passed this place so many times while driving to Tunbridge Wells and decided to check out their afternoon tea. Must say it was served incredibly well and tasted beautiful. At first I was a little surprised of the size of the scone but you honestly don't want anything bigger. I was able to work while using the free WiFi and the staff were more than accommodating. Can't wait to bring my friends and family along!

We had a family lunch here for 3 teenagers plus my wife and I, and came away £80 poorer but well fed with 5 main courses and 3 desserts plus drinks. High quality local ingredients are used and the food is cooked on site. The staff are friendly and helpful. Recommended.

Very like the cottage type B&B we stayed at loft room and very cozy bathroom. Life the old and antique steps and floors. The food serves at cafe downstairs is also great. Love their scones and extra hotl latte

This is a lovely tearoom. They are very accommodating to my toddler who can be messy! You also don't feel rushed in here, which if you are eating with a small human is essential. Best of all, the food it divine and they have a beautiful selection of loose leaf teas to keep me happy.

Loverly sunny morning. First time visit as a family, highly recommend by our son. Service could not be faulted, nothing to much trouble. Breakfast with local ingredients was very well cooked and presented. Although busy, service extremely efficient. The Bakehouse has it's own unique atmosphere. Very good value. Would highly recommend and will certainly return.

We visited The Bakehouse after a walk around Biddenden, and were greeted with a friendly welcome and efficient service, the coffee being served very quickly. There's a wide selection of food, all reasonably priced. Lovely, charming restaurant, will definitely be going back!

Cosy and quirky with a really rustic feel. This little place has a super friendly, family atmosphere. It welcomes every customer like an old friend.Food is a carefully chosen menu featuring fresh and locally sourced ingredients like bread, ham, cheese and chutneys.Home-made comforts is at the heart of this gorgeous cafe. It is unsurprising that the staff are on first-name terms with their regulars.Perfect.

Previously visited the Tearooms when they were located outside the front of Perry Court. The food was excellent and cheese, chutney sandwiches were huge and fresh. Has to be said for the new cafe the staff are great - however the new sandwiches are appalling. Cheap supermarket, sliced bread and a smattering of grated cheese for ££. Phenomenally expensive. A huge disappointment and wouldn't return.

We had a very good meal at The George at Molash; we were welcomed on arrival and shown to our table, the service was very efficient and the waitresses were professional but also friendly. They looked after us superbly. We chose our meals and these took a little time to come out but we were not worried about this as we were chatting and food was cooked freshly to order. Other tables were informed about a wait for some foods as they were cooked freshly to order. This didn’t affect us too much as we ate quite early - table was booked for 6.30pm. The pub was very clean and tidy. The portions were good - for both dinner and we had a dessert. We finished the evening with herbal teas and were shown a selection to choose from. Overall we had a very nice evening at The George, and had good food, service and atmosphere.

Went there expecting to get food and decent beer. NO Food. Looks like pub is up for sale with little interest. Beer was OK, but pub noisy due to football. Definitely one to avoid. Went to Eureka for a nice curry instead,
