The best restaurants in Hyde Werneth Tameside North West

This shop was one of the very first takeaways in Tameside and its still got the original owner. There is no doubt that the doner meat is a high grade as is the lamb shish and the chilli sauce is without doubt one of the tastiest out there. The photograph shows the £15 Canadian Special Kebab which has Istanbul doner, which is far more expensive than the usual elephant leg doner meat served in most takeaways. The chicken is well marinated and the shish is served as it comes flavoured excellently with the charcoal grill. The naan bread is store brought but still tastes good. As stated, the star of the show is the homemade chilli sauce and I’m still to find a kebab that has better sauce. The shop charges £1 a tub of the homemade chilli sauce and I would urge people to buy a couple of tubs to put in your fridge. The owner still works there and all the staff are really polite.

We came for a Sunday roast and was served by a lovely young lady called Georgia. She was so helpful and catered to all our needs with a smile on her face! What a fantastic asset to your establishment!

Great food and service the staff could not have been more helpful as my wife has some food intolerances, this was sorted out and we both had an enjoyable meal

The white chocolate pan cakes used to be my favourite. They are not as nice as they used to be. Been shopping for 3 years in a row now. Highly disappointed. 😕

We stopped off here as we often do when collecting family from the airport. It is usually good. Today though was appalling!!! The young guy who was cleaning was polite and friendly. The older lady who appeared to be his superior was vile towards this poor guy. Something in the restaurant went missing and the lady accused the young guy of taking it and then when cameras revealed another customer had taken the item she told him to do his job properly and keep an eye on things. Then someone from behind service called his name and the older miserable looking woman shouted back “I need him.” She then s owned at him and told him to go out and sort the bins out. Throughout our visit today what I saw was bullying and unfortunately other staff appeared to be following suit. That poor young lad. 😡

The food was absolutely disgusting.. I’d never entertain this place ever again. The staff was extremely rude when I complained. AVOID !!!!! Not sure what’s happened to this place!

The atmosphere is good in this busy restaurant and steaks are good, however other dishes sadly lack in quality and taste and this place needs to up the ante to retain frequent guests. We were on a night out from our place of work and the service was slow as they could not cope with the numbers. Its alright getting bums on seats but you need higher quality food to retain repeat customers.
