The atmosphere is good in this busy restaurant and steaks are good, however other dishes sadly lack in quality and taste and this place needs to up the ante to retain frequent guests. We were on a night out from our place of work and the service was slow as they could not cope with the numbers. Its alright getting bums on seats but you need higher quality food to retain repeat customers.

Visited for a fathers day meal and if this restaurant was located in a busy high street or city centre, the review would be poor. The service is nothing special, i would describe it as very 'matter of fact', no welcome or appreciation for the business and overall no service over and above what you would expect in a Subway for example: What do you want, there is your food, there is the bill - DONE. Also some of the party opted to go for a 'smaller plate ' for their main meal and when the food arrived on a plate fit for a 5 year old to eat this was somewhat embarrassing. By all means, make the portion smaller, but still serve on an adult size plate - where the small plate has come from i do not know, but from a dining experience this needs to be changed immediately. Additionally the creme brule dessert was a disaster, to which we returned this and it was taken off the bill. Bathroom toilet was damp and one toilet out of order and also the tables are 'tacky' as they have been painted for a quick fix opposed to buying a proper dining table. i understand sometimes it takes time to get things right and they are not far off but look at the smaller details, considering you are pricing fairly high for the area.

We had a midweek meal to celebrate my sons 2st. It wasn’t too busy which was good. The food and service was very good. It is a bit pricey but good for.a special occasion or a treat

We had one of the best meals at an Italian restaurant we've had in a long while. Superb mussels in a white wine and cream sauce, superb house red wine, excellent choice of main courses. Staff attentive without being intrusive - we managed our own wine glasses because we dislike the practice of refilling your glass so you buy another bottle. Home made truffles after our meal were delightful and very reasonably priced. It wasn't very busy which is shame as it deserves better. We will happily go back again and are equally happy to recommend it.

We booked a table for 12 people on Saturday night... ordered starters which had taken 45 minutes to arrive- starters wasn't bad. However the main meals taken a further hour to arrive. I chosen the rib eye steak cooked medium, it arrived and it was rare. I sent the steak back and it arrived medium well, alongside the tiniest dish of veg I've ever seen in my life i.e.- one piece of broccoli. Everyone in the party was really disheartened with the meals and this was meant to be a nice pre- Mother's Day evening out. I spoken to the manager who actually was quite rude. With working in hospitality myself I said I understand that it could take long for meals to come out but surely not 45mins for a starter then a further hour for the mains once the plates had been cleared! Also if they wasn't so greedy to take in so many customers then we wouldn't have had this problem, as the chefs clearly couldn't cook the food in an average time. We did have a deduction on the bill, but it was the circumstance of it all, as the night was ruined. On the other hand, our waiter was really nice just the poor attitude of managers that wasn't! Stay well away!

Had to opt for the party menu because of the number of people, the only main I liked was steak so had to pay a £3 surcharge but I thought it would be worth it (it wasn't) The bruschetta was tasty but extremely small, the main came and it was a bit of steak and leaves ( no chips or potatoes at all) 3/4 minutes later came the veg (carrots, green beans etc) which was ok but not remotely filling. I was wondering where this £28 was going, thought the dessert must be amazing. Nope. Out came a small slab of tirimasu with a green bean on the plate?? I would have much preffered something with more substance, maybe if this tasted amazing then I could understand.

This restaurant use to be Mio Zio, which "went on fire" a few years ago. It was refurbished and re-opened under new ownership last year. The interior is clean and modern in style, quite minimalist. I have to say that I have absolutely no complaints about the quality of the service, which was quick, friendly and efficient, even though they were dealing with a large party whilst we were there. The quality of the food was on a par with similar modern Italian restaurants in the Oldham area, although there was nothing that made De Niro's food exceptional - no wow factor. Overall pricing was similar to other Italian restaurants in the area, some dishes slightly cheaper, some slightly more expensive. However, what made De Niro's expensive was the fact that, unlike many local restaurants, no vegetables are included in the price of main courses. If you are having anything other than pasta or pizza and want a small dish of sautéed potatoes and a small dish of vegetables with your meal, it will cost you an eye-watering £8 per head.

Ordered a takeaway through JustEat, who conveniently won't let me leave a review. Food was stone cold, ordered chicken with 2 carbonaras, neither had any, and one even lacked the bacon! Complete lack of care when contacting the restaurant, pretty much told it wasn't their problem. Do NOT waste your money

Absolutely disgusting. Cold food (probably because common sense evaded them and they put cold cans with hot food in the same bag), quality and quantity are NOT worth the price. Burnt chips with bone dry chicken (the few pieces of measly chicken you pay £3 extra for) and yet it's cold. Burnt food that is cold. So burnt it had fused to the foil tray. Ended up giving it to the dog and even he turned his nose up at it. This is a dog that will eat frozen chips by the way. Packaged that horrendously the toppings off the hotdog (the extremely scarse onions and ridiculous ton of mustard) had to be scraped out of the box to be put back onto the cold hotdog and soggy bun (soggy from the copious amount of mustard). I'd avoid this place if you actually want decent food, especially for the ridiculous prices they charge.

My order delivered and it was all cold including the food in the plastic tubs. Had to rewarm everything in the microwave. The chips seemed like they had been refried, very dry and dark in colour. The batter on the Salt & pepper spare ribs was thick, dry and powdery. Both chips and ribs were inedible. The sweet & sour chicken and beef curry was nice. However, due to the other issues I will not be returning. This was my favourite takeaway but it hasn’t been the same since it was taken over recently.

This place has a zero food hygiene and claims to prepare food daily and wear hair nets. We found a couple hairs in our fried rice but they called us liars and said they wear hair nets.
