The best restaurants in Church Sefton North West

A dinner visit with family. Starter sultan platter was excellent and the waitress was lovely and attentive. Good atmosphere overall and drinks were ok. The main of mix grill for 2 was soooo salty we couldn't eat it. They kindly took it off the bill but it meant we left hungry still having only ate starters! For a Turkish restaurant we didnt think there should be pork on the mix grill but we were told they can substitute it with lamb pieces which we thought was not cooked well along with extremely salty taste. All in all it was ok but we wont return sadly.

After a wonderful walk with my two sisters we took to this place which is easily my favourite spot on South Road... Love the style of the place, the people are very friendly and hospitable - the coffee, hot chocolate, and tuna cheese melts where all fab. Well done and keep up the great work! Particularly liked the humorous message in the powder room regarding the delicate toilet.

Excellent Sunday lunch at Royal Hotel Waterloo Great value very well presented congratulations to chef. Well trained and efficient staff Lovely Liz served us Would reccomend Royal for Sunday lunch.

First time having having food here - we were not disappointed it was delicious!! And great service too!! Staff are lovely. Will be back soon. :)

Called in for early evening meal at 4pm to be told they don't serve food until 5pm. Had a look at menu however, very expensive for standard pub food plus, you had to pay extra for things like naan bread that you normally get with meal. Finished drink and left.

Lovely family run pub. Great beer garden. Kids welcome as are dogs. Quiz night, karaoke, live music and sports. Great staff and owners.

Had Sunday lunch in there today (13 October 2024) food was gorgeous.....I went greedy and had 3 meats while missus had just beef.......we finished the meal with a slice of apple pie and ice cream Staff was so courteous and and helpful Oh and your dogs are welcome (ANOTHER PLUS POINT) Will definately be going again

The restaurant is shut! 18 of June! Went last night and the shutters were down bloke next door said it’s been shut for 3 weeks. Don’t understand how I booked a week ago.

Waited 75 minutes for a luke warm dinner

Since new owners took over few weeks ago staff have been very rude and poor quality in food would not recommend food was also not cooked to standards which is a shame since it use to be a lovely family run place and loved to come here

Been ordering from Arong fairly regularly since 2021. Its the ONLY take away i order from who never fails to deliver hot, delicious food. Not even once have i had a problem. The delivery driver is the most polite man i have ever met, he’s been delivering my food the entire time i’ve been ordering from them too! Favourite take away and have recommended to everyone.

Called into this place few days ago for a highly recommended breakfast and glad I did as it was fantastic well made and delicious. However my 1 star review is based on the poor service from the rude staff with poor hygiene only to find out later she was actually the manager?? 🤢 could smell the multiple pints of Newkie brown from night before masked by whatever market perfume she has on that day. Will not be back anytime soon. 👎🏼
