I love it here..from the quieter daytimes to the excellent open mic and live bands..newly refurbished toilets are a welcome bonus

Booked for Sunday Lunch and what a great place it is. Quite small - so gets crowded in the evenings when there’s often music on. But we reserved and had no problem. A nice gentle ambiance and the food, oh the food! Absolutely spot on. You’ve got to try the Scotch Egg! Great staff. Highly recommended and we’ll be back!

After a wonderful walk with my two sisters we took to this place which is easily my favourite spot on South Road... Love the style of the place, the people are very friendly and hospitable - the coffee, hot chocolate, and tuna cheese melts where all fab. Well done and keep up the great work! Particularly liked the humorous message in the powder room regarding the delicate toilet.

Called in for early evening meal at 4pm to be told they don't serve food until 5pm. Had a look at menu however, very expensive for standard pub food plus, you had to pay extra for things like naan bread that you normally get with meal. Finished drink and left.

Dropped in here for a quick drink with my family on our way home. I was only planning on having a coke but then i spotted the desserts at the till. As im an absolute fiend for white chocolate i knew i had to try the Biscoff Rocky Road. Which in all honesty is the main reason im writing this review. Absolutely top tier if you love a sweet treat. The seating is pretty average but the decor is nice! and the staff are great too. I would like to come back and try some actual food 😂 But for a sweet treat and a coffee, it does the job !

Have visited Anji's a few times now. Breakfast is good, with a varied menu, salt and pepper toasty, English breakfast and pistachio toast are all decent. On the last few occasions I've visited the service has been poor. Came today, and waited almost 20 minutes before our drinks order was taken, and also waited almost an hour for the food to arrive after finally ordering. The service staff are very polite, but the service is haphazard as the table across from us was served before us, even though we were seated 10 minutes before they even entered the place. I also asked for water for the table and it never came so had to ask again. I know it was busy but the staff can do better than this. I very rarely don't tip, but felt the service has been so poor on this occasion that I didn't bother. I also think overall the prices are on the high side (£6 for a milkshake is quite extortionate). Due to the aforementioned service and because it's been more than once, I probably won't return here. Just to add, it's extremely unprofessional and spur grapes of the owner to single out my review on social media, thanking other patrons for their 'support over a busy bank holiday weekend, apart from this reviewer'. This was an honest account of the overall experience, and the service on more than one occasion now has been poor. If you are busy you should employ enough staff to cope with the demand. A 20 minute wait to order drinks is unacceptable as is serving other dinners first who were seated later.

The food here is sooooo good, & the staff are so friendly and put care into the food and delivery. I picked up my order yesterday and it was such a nice experience, even though I came an hour later after I ordered they kept the food piping hot and packed it up with such care. The staff were nice and smiley

The restaurant is shut! 18 of June! Went last night and the shutters were down bloke next door said it’s been shut for 3 weeks. Don’t understand how I booked a week ago.

We had a fantastic time with Santa and we had a lovely breakfast. Staff are amazing. Thank you. SCT.

Disgusting finally closed permanently not surprised

We recently dined in here. We ordered 2 starters annd the mixed platter the starters was ok ant best but the platter was disappointing we could only manage a piece of chicken tried the kebab an a lamb chop it was all like mush the place was empty and now I know why the food was disgusting.We obviously didnt eat it and told the waiting who got a cob on and took full payment and let us leave without it.didn’t apologise or try to rectify the issues and didn’t say bye when leaving.. Thanks but never again. Food cost £86

Great pub, we had a wedding there on Friday and the staff was great the vibe was ace and we enjoyed the warm welcome. It was good value and an excellent place. Thank you

LOVE this place, best cafe ever, I’ve raved about it to so many people. Delicious, original menu, best brunches with generous portions & really good coffee. Why are you closed? Pleeeeease reopen! Our weekends aren’t the same without you!
