Una celebración de cumpleaños en Stretford Canteen en una cálida noche de primavera... perfecto! Un menú inspirado de platos ligeros con un blanco maravillosamente crujiente pero afrutado de la lista, en resumen, una excelente noche con un gran servicio amable de la maravillosa Annie! Obviamente volveremos después de nuestras excursiones de verano en el extranjero, la comida / ambiente aquí es demasiado bueno para permanecer lejos por mucho tiempo!

Vino por su pollo frito asiático y estaba delicioso. Comida fresca con sabores potentes y porciones generosas. Teníamos la caja de salsa de miso y la caja de búfalo malasia, con un lado de las Vietnam Nom Noms (¡debe pedirse!) las papas fritas de gofre son crujientes por fuera y esponjosas por dentro. Coleslaw es fuerte y fresco. El servicio fue rápido y eficiente con una sonrisa.

My absolute favourite seafood spot in all of Manchester. We’ve been coming here — and previously to the one in Sale (sadly now closed) — for years, and I can’t believe I haven’t written a review until now. It’s simply perfect every time. Whenever I’m in the mood for seafood, I know I’ll leave Oystercatcher happy and satisfied — it’s consistently impressive and reliable. My usual go-to is the seafood platter: a generous serving featuring a perfectly cooked whole sea bream that’s always fall-apart tender, juicy, and packed with flavour. The prawns are my personal highlight — incredibly meaty, rich, and delicious. You also get crispy calamari, plump mussels, charred hispi cabbage, tenderstem broccoli, and a selection of sauces for dipping — each one complementing the seafood beautifully. The oysters are a must-order. They’re always large, fresh, and served with a classic mignonette sauce and a bottle of Tabasco for that extra kick. The perfect opener to any meal here. I’ve also had the pleasure of trying the fish and chips — an ideal lunch that doesn’t leave you feeling heavy. The batter is crisp and golden without being oily, the chips are chunky and well-seasoned, and the fish is soft and flaky inside. A proper portion too — I was gutted I couldn’t finish it. The crab ravioli are rich and satisfying, with a bold tomato sauce that doesn’t overpower the delicate seafood filling. A great option if you’re in the mood for something warming and comforting. And the service? Always spot-on. The team are incredibly friendly, welcoming, and strike the perfect balance of professionalism and personality. There’s always great banter, they’re quick to take orders, attentive throughout, and the food always arrives hot and promptly. It’s clear they care just as much about the experience as they do about the food. Can’t recommend this place enough — it’s a true gem.

When you order chicken noodles and it looks and tastes like soya mince but they deny it and claim its minced chicken. It is not. Chicken does not mince like that and why on earth would you mince chicken? Plopping a load of chilli and soy sauce on it won’t hide it and it’s not worth the price. My friends ribs also looked gross with chunks of fat and little meat. I also had to ask again for the beer I ordered. Also don’t appreciate listening to thrash metal throughout. Quite a bizarre experience. Won’t be back.

Good but could be great… We enjoyed our visit overall and will try again in the future. We liked the kimchi jeon, dongaseu, and tteokbokki very much. But there was room for improvement in other areas. The chicken in the jjimdak was very bland and really needs a higher quality of meat to carry it. The rice was very disappointing when we were expecting Korean rice, but seemed like cheap long grain. The service also requires some work, with some dishes taking a long time to come out without explanation, and waiting for cutlery as the food got cold. I am sure this will improve with time, as our waiters seemed very new. Wishing you all the best! Looking forward to coming back

Jack and the team catered a private party and they were outstanding, amazing food, service, wine selection, cocktails.. all first class. They added to the atmosphere with their personalities and attentiveness.. highly recommended..
