When you order chicken noodles and it looks and tastes like soya mince but they deny it and claim its minced chicken. It is not. Chicken does not mince like that and why on earth would you mince chicken? Plopping a load of chilli and soy sauce on it won’t hide it and it’s not worth the price. My friends ribs also looked gross with chunks of fat and little meat. I also had to ask again for the beer I ordered. Also don’t appreciate listening to thrash metal throughout. Quite a bizarre experience. Won’t be back.

Tried both the veg and chicken momos, steamed and pan-fried—absolutely delicious! The fillings were flavorful and fresh, and the texture was just right. The spicy achar on the side added the perfect kick. Friendly service and cozy vibe made the experience even better. Highly recommend for anyone craving authentic Nepalese momos in Manchester!

Really delicious food and the highlight was the chicken chow mein, especially as someone who's not a huge fan of noodles, they were amazing! We also ordered the momos and wings which were great too. Halal options and friendly staff made this a great experience.

We recently visited Momo Shop in Manchester after finding it through a quick search online. The food appeared tempting on Google, so we decided to make a reservation. The restaurant itself is pleasant and the staff are incredibly hospitable, always smiling and very sweet, which was genuinely appreciated. However, what truly disappointed us was the service. It took well over an hour for our food to arrive, which left us feeling extremely disheartened. We had been looking forward to this meal for some time and arrived with great excitement, only to find our enthusiasm dampened by the long waiting time. Being left hungry for so long was unfortunate and certainly affected our overall experience. As big fans of Momos, we had high expectations, but sadly the food did not quite meet them. The Momos were average. They were not bad, but they certainly were not as flavoursome as we had hoped. The wraps were also a disappointment. In particular, the mushroom shashlik wrap contained a very sweet sauce which overpowered the flavour of the mushrooms and created an unbalanced and rather unpleasant texture. I found it difficult to enjoy. My sister, who ordered the chicken wrap, found it lacking in flavour to the extent that she used the buttered sauce from the Momos just to make it palatable. One highlight of the meal was the masala chips, which were absolutely delicious and the standout dish of the evening. In addition to the slow service, I did find the pricing to be on the higher side, which, considering the overall experience, made the visit feel less worthwhile. While the staff’s warmth and hospitality were genuinely lovely, it sadly did not make up for the flaws in the service and food quality. Regrettably, based on our experience, I would not feel confident recommending this place to others, as I would not want to risk them feeling the same disappointment we

A lovely little gem serving delicious momos. Whoever made this place is smart because the interior is very modern and casual, yet the food is very authentic and tasty - great for attracting the younger demographics in the area. You can choose different fillings, styles of cooking and sauces for your momos, so you can make numerous different combinations. I would recommend ordering 3 plates of momos for 2 people, or 2 plates and an appetizer. Everything is seasoned very well, although it is not spicy, so do not worry if you order the spicy version- it is not super spicy. I particularly recommend the bison filling and the deep-fried style of cooking for the momos. The price is very reasonable - we paid 36 GBP for 3 momo dishes, an appetizer and diet coke.

Service was friendly but very slow and forgetful. Had to ask for the bill 3 times which took over 30mins. Momos were very nice but prices are slightly misleading as you have to pay for every sauce you wanted added to momos so ends up being around £13.50 per plate and almost £2 per momo! So quite expensive in that respect

As our first experience of Nepalese food, the server was incredibly knowledgeable and passionate about the menu, we were open to whatever she recommended and it did not disappoint! Honestly the food was so underwhelming. I got the butter chicken wrap which literally tasted like something I could make at home, except it had literally 0 veg, just chicken in a wrap. My partner got the soya mince noodles, the noodles were described as thick and they came out and looked like literal spaghetti with mince on top, the sauce was so thin it all seeped to the bottom & my partner (who is normally not fussy at all) even struggled to finish it. Got the veggie momos to share (don't massively understand why you have to pay more to have sauce on the side but whatever) in the garlic sauce, which tasted nothing like garlic one bit, even asked if we got the right sauce (considering it tasted like the Jhol) which was confirmed with a sarcastic attitude by the waitress who left me and my partner feeling pretty uncomfortable. 2 beers, and 3 small dishes for around £50 is also insane considering when we left we were still hungry. The guy who served us & the nice graphics dotted around was really the only saving grace. Honestly wouldn't bother coming to be honest which is such a shame because we both loved little yeti.

Sadly not impressed, feel bad saying it but I left hungry and had to eat again somewhere else. Menu was confusing, ran out of prawns which are in a fair few dishes, EVERYTHING was too spicy despite only some items mentioning it. No smile from the waiter. Hardly any soft drinks on offer, and all sugary and fizzy. Chairs are those mismatched wonky wooden ones that are all the rage. I've been before a few years ago and was looking forward to coming back. I'm so sorry to leave a review like this but honestly it was a bad experience.

A Hidden Gem for Momo Lovers! If you’re a fan of dumplings, this Momo restaurant is an absolute must-visit. From the moment you walk in, you’re greeted by a warm, welcoming staff who clearly take pride in their service. Their attentiveness and genuine smiles set the tone for a fantastic dining experience. What truly stands out is the speed at which the food arrives. Within minutes of ordering, steaming plates of momos are placed before you, perfectly fresh and hot. The wait time is impressively short, yet the quality of the food suggests nothing was rushed—just expertly prepared. Now, onto the star of the show: the momos themselves. Each bite is a perfect balance of tender, flavorful fillings and soft, delicate wrappers. Whether you opt for the classic steamed, crispy fried, or spicy jhol momos, every dish is bursting with authentic flavors that make you savor every moment. The dipping sauces are equally divine, adding just the right kick to complement the dumplings. The overall vibe of the restaurant—friendly service, fast turnaround, and exceptional food—makes it a place you’ll want to return to again and again. If you haven’t been here yet, you’re missing out on the best Momo experiences in town. Highly recommend!

Went on a busy Saturday night and we were sat downstairs, which was freezing we had to keep our coats on. We ordered drink and food after about 10 minutes of being seated, drinks came pretty quickly. We sat for over an hour with one drink after ordering food, no one came to take another drinks order or tell us how long food would be. We gave it another 15 minutes before asking as we had another booking to make which we were definitely going to miss having been sat in the restaurant for almost an hour and a half now! The server seemed confused when we asked how long food would be and asked when we ordered, which we told them over an hour ago. Food then came pretty quickly but we were now in such a rush to leave as to not get a no show fee for the next booking that we couldn't finish or enjoy it. Everything was really tasty from what we ate although very very spicy! All 4 dishes we got were extremely spicy so I would recommend getting a bread or something neutral on the side. The pork steamed momos were excellent! Our experience was really bad to be honest and I wouldn't be back, which is a shame as I think the food is authentic and tasty. The service was terrible, no communication at all and just not very pleasant when asking for what is going on. I appreciate Saturday night service can be crazy as a chef myself, but communication to those seated with bookings is essential if they are waiting for 1 hour plus on food and drinks orders. Two tables around us seemed to have the same experience with waiting for food and the other sat for over half an hour without their first drink order being taken. We paid full price for everything and had to go to the bar to pay as we needed to leave and there was no one in sight to ask for the bill. How long we waited wasn't even acknowledged by the same server.

Vamos paso a paso.

Stepped into this place with high expectations but wasn't very impressed. Let's go step by step. The server was very friendly and food was served quickly. I have a habit of cleaning the plates with paper towels/tissues and glad even my friends did. The plates were soiled. We asked them to change them. They did. Then ordered the spicy achar momo, which I would rate 3/5 as the coating was too thick and hardly 2 tbsp chutney served with 8 pcs which wasn't sufficient. My friends ordered the veg one. Then the chicken Chowmein which was extremely spicy due to loads of pepper used in it but was tasty so would rate 4/5. Now comes the twist, we ordered for Chatpate which was supposed to be the famous Wai Wai noodle made into salad, instead we were served Puffed Rice which is used to make Bhel. We asked them about it and they said their noodles were unavailable hence the replacement, they even offered to give it on the house but we didn't have that. The point here is, they should have informed us if it was unavailable. We being Asians know what a wai wai is, but for others who don't know, this isn't the right thing to do. They would simply eat it. The staff or owner was not sure who it was asked if we were Nepali and we said no. But for me this is a type of cheating which I wouldn't appreciate. When you serve a cuisine, you represent that place/city/cuisine/country and I feel you should be very transparent with it. Good luck to the team.

Would give a higher mark but 2 types of beers were unavailable, which puzzled me. Were they not prepared for a busy Saturday night service? Overall though very nice evening and enjoyable food.

Amazing Nepalese food. Very nice and fresh looking momos with tasty variety of sauces. Service is AMAZING the waiteress literally explained every single dish in details and recommended us wonderful plates. Butter chicken was really good as well and they had a nice starter with fried mashed potato 😍 Chocolate momo desert is a must have. Crispy with hot nutella inside and vanilla ice cream scoop on the side 🤤

Food is well spiced and it always tastes great. Be aware most items are fairly spicy so keep that in mind when ordering.

Our food was pretty nice and the staff were welcoming, but we were overcharged by 50% and in the rush of splitting the bill I didn’t realise. So it was a very expensive wrap and cola!

You choose a momo (dumpling) filling, you get it fried or steamed, you choose a dipping sauce. Loads of other things going on but we're there for the momos. They offer wraps which Indians would call kati rolls, superb. The noodles aren't typical Indo-|Chinese, but still lovely Just go..

I’m a regular here and probably the best vegetarian food you can find in Northwest. I’ve also had them cater food for a couple of events I organised and they’ve been fantastic with most of the guests asking where was the food from. Highly recommend!
