Good Tasty curries but food portions too small. £10 for dosa is too much. Everything fine but food portions are too small. Increase portion size. Yes dragonfruit is 5 but there is no dragon fruit in Dosa

The Sanskruti Restaurant is an excellent place to go for vegetarian and vegan food. If you are a carnivore try going here because the food is incredible and you can try food that you probably do not create at home and you discover that eating vegetarian or vegan can be a amazing and satisfying experience. We had two starters and two mains which we shared between us. Which also heightens the experience so YES!!! share your chosen plate with your partner or friends so you can all try something to see what appeals to you most. The staff are always courteous and never rush you. You do have a designated time slot but which is great hence you are never rushed into finishing your food. The decor is really nice mixing tradition with the modern. Go there, try the cuisine I promise once you been to Sanskruti you will always return back for more.

Food is usually tasty. My only feedback is that when we ask for mild adjustments to a dish e.g. extra onions, they just ignore you totally and look annoyed. The people answering the phone should also have training in being less arrogant and customer friendly to customer requests or slight adjustments. It is good food yes, but isn't fine dining, which is the vibe given when we call for adjustments or bookings.

Compact restaurant, not bad if it wasn't for Covid. That said, the all-vegetarian menu is quite extensive and varied, prices are mid-range. The food was excellent, very tasty. I rate this place very highly as does my partner. You've got to try this restaurant, if you haven't already. Edit: Returned for the umpteenth time on my partners birthday, 14/02/24. Wonderful food again. youv'e got to try this restaurant, meat - eaters as well.

I was initially reluctant to write this review, and felt my poor experience was a one off. However, the last three times I have experienced the same, poor quality of food. Firstly, some of the dishes appear not to be freshly made, more so reheated. When you’ve cooked for years, you can visually tell if a dish has been freshly cooked in a karahi/tawa, or whether it’s just been bunged in a microwave and reheated - then conveniently presented like it fresh. This is NOT ON. Also, reducing portion sizes and charging the same, is not changing the menu…it’s ripping people off! Sorry Sanskruti, it’s not on…

I took a friend, who has never had South Indian food and she was blown away by the food and atmosphere

Delivery was great however we were really looking forward to sitting down and enjoying our valentine's Day meal but we physically couldn't eat it as it was so spicy and we ordered food that didn't state it was spicy so all we got to eat was some of the rice and the 1 poppadom that cost £1 for one! Really disappointed

Every time I have been, I have tried something new and been so impressed by the distinct flavours, presentation and the place has a great atmosphere! And a massive range of dishes for anyone who is Vegan. Very much recommended!!

The food was so good except the vegetable pakoras, they were hard and burnt. I would still order from this restaurant again though as the rest of the dishes were flavourful and good portions.

The food was fantastic. I was over the moon with the Karella and the stuffed pharatas. The vegetarian seekh kebabs where as good as meat ones. Over all I was made up BIG TIME and impressed with the overall experience and the food. The service was Good. A little pushy one of the servants was but, I was very happy and pleased as punch.

The food is awesome especially the vegetarian seekh kebabs as starter. The main meal Karella with stuffed pharatas and masala tea. I was very impressed with the food and the service. I shall be going again.

Superb food great range of options fab night

Revisit after some years with Hindu friends. Thali was superb. We also sampled a little of the tandoori sharing platter, but were less impressed. They also now have draft lager instead of over-priced small bottles. Interior better too, and were able to secure a table in a quiet corner.

It’s a few months since we last ate here. It’s one of a handful of South Asian restaurants in the area that has an entirely plant=based menu, so makes a nice change for we two omnivores. Finger food to start for both of us. There’s half a dozen sev puri. Open wide and it’s just about a single bite puri filled with veg and a tangy chutney, then topped with a sprinkling of crunchy sev. There’s also mixed vegetable pakoras. That’s the North Indian name but I suspect most folk, us included, would better know them as bhajis. Shredded veg, tossed in gram flour and fried till crisp. And there’s a coriander sauce for dunking. Really nice. Both main courses came from the Punjabi section of the menu. First up was Kadai Paneer – basically a stirfry of cubes of paneer, green pepper, onion and tomato in a clingy sauce. There’s an assertive use of ground coriander and dried Kashmiri chilli. Delish. Sanskruti is the only place we know that serves kaju masala and it’s a dish we’ve ordered before. It’s a delight. One of the tastiest things, from any cuisine, we’ve eaten in many weeks. In essence, a cashew nut curry. Thinnish sauce of tomato, onion and cashews – some of the nuts left whole for texture but others blended into the sauce making it quite creamy. It’s nicely spiced with a restrained, but not wimpy, use of chilli. We went overboard with the carbs. A portion of fluffy plain basmati rice. And the bread basket – one each of naan, tandoori roti and methi thepla. The latter was new to us – a Gujarati bread incorporating turmeric , ginger and the slight bitterness of fenugreek. Deffo one to order again.

Love Sanskruti! Have come a lot and especially go with my parents when they’re in town to visit. All veggie food. The staff are all really nice and the interior is cute and clean. My favorites are the Tofu Makhanwalla and the Kadai Paneer. Plus a vegan mango lassi. I also get it delivered sometimes and it’s just as good !

For a vegetarian/vegan restaurant I have to say the food is banging (coming from a meat eater)

Delicious vegetarian food, desserts were amazing!!!!

The food was amazing as it always is. Although we were the first ones in the restaurant and waited 20mins to order food because staff thought we had already ordered. We did feel slightly "watched" by staff as they were always looming over us but maybe that's because we got there so early and there weren't many other people to serve.

Good but not too much as expected

Food is much delicious but when I came to your restaurant for takeaway, I felt like you guys are looking at me like I am poor because I was wearing not too good clothes and also my card was decline but second time it worked. There's no expressions by your side. I was disappointed at that time. (Edit: Please, Look after your customers. I ordered on Uber Eats and I realised that I ordered Family Naan instead of Family Garlic Naan. I cannot edit order or if I cancel the order, I need to pay for full order even if I am placing same order again. I know it was my mistake and I am really sorry to ask your help. But I have ate 6-7 times in your restaurant and also I have ordered on Uber like 8-10 times. I asked them on the phone that can they cancel the order so person restaurant side says “No we cannot cancel the order”. I want to tell you one thing that I know how uber and deliveroo works. You can cancel the order. They didn’t cancelled the order and I cannot cancel the order.)

This is the first time we have been since the refurbishment and we were very impressed. The atmosphere was retained and the food and service was as good as we have experienced before. The dishes we ordered were beautiful and well presented, and as both vegan there is plenty of choice on the menu with only a few dishes not suitable for a vegan diet. Lovely evening out!

Friendly and well knowledgeable waiters

We have had many great takeaways meals from this restaurant but decided to visit to take advantage of the January offer. The atmosphere inside was pleasant and all the food we got was very well presented. Everything tasted great! The Sharing Chaat Platter is a great starter. The is my favourite dish and the Lachha Paratha is a great accompaniment. Look forward to visiting again and ordering more takeaways!

We wanted to find a vegan Indian restaurant in Manchester and my son had Sanskruti recommended, we booked around lunchtime for that evening. I was so glad we did as it was full when we arrived, what a great bustling atmosphere met us when we walked through the door, then came the menu, all veggie / vegan or gluten free - almost all the courses were vegan or could be made vegan so we were delighted with the choice. I had tofu Makhanwala (spelling?) my wife had the black dhal and my son chose the masala dosa - add to that a family garlic naan rice. Everything was super tasty, service very good. Recommended for vegans, veggies but in fact all humans :-)

The food was fantastic - I'd recommend the vegan seekh kebab starter to share. The vegan family garlic naan was also great, alongside the curries. The service was excellent, too, extremely attentive. A hidden gem!

This is our second visit to Sanskruti and we had a fantastic time, lovely food, perfect setting to socialise and enjoy good company. The masala dosa is as good as I've eaten anywhere else though there wasn't a duff dish in our meal. We left very contented after a very enjoyable evening.

The idea of a vegetarian meal had me in a downward spiral. Yet upon arrival this was quickly reversed. We were asked to wait next to the tiki bar, housing a frosty pint of cobra (ON DRAUGHT!). Instantly salivating, I was ready to feast. And let me tell you, this curry was of unforeseen beauty. Literally cannot recommend enough. Incredible value, incredible flavours. Not once did meat cross my mind. Carnivores don’t be shy, and take a trip down to Sanskruti. Jp x

Very pleasantly impressed with the flavour and aroma of the food, we didn't know what to expect from a veggie restaurant but we really did not miss the food. Incredible flavours and quality of produce. To top it off, the cocktails were spot on, very well crafted. Will definitely be back here!

I don’t usually make complain . But this time I got a very bad service and food from this restaurant. The food arrived cold and the driver didn’t want to delivery the food to my house asking me to come and meet him at his car. If I pay for a service I expect the service to be done right, I spend money for it it’s not free! Learn how to talk with customers and that help YOUR BUSINESS alive. Disgusting absolutely disgusting

Second time of visiting. The food is superb, beautifully presented, the staff friendly and attentive. We had our two year old grandson with us he loved it too. The chocolate brownie is an exciting desert!

Excellent in every respect bar one: we were overcharged. I reported this to the manager -,he apologised and promised to deduct the amount from our next bill.

The staff are welcoming, knowledgeable and friendly. The food is delicious and priced reasonably. Will be back soon.

The food was okayish. Not as per mentioned. I ordered makhni dal, tandoori gobhi and garlic naan. No cream in Makhni dal, amd it tastes slighly burnt. Naan was good and soft. Gobhi was good.

Wow! Absolutely top class food. Got to try a mix of a few different dishes and they were all so delicious. Highly recommended, especially the Kela Nu Shaak - so different, so tasty! :)

Great food, delivered on time. This restaurant had a really excellent selection of vegetarian and vegan dishes, which is pleasing to find on a whim. The appetisers, starters, and mains are all unlike your normal takeaway fare, with interesting ingredients, flavours, all executed well.

Every single time I’ve ordered from Sanskruti, the food is perfect. Very polite delivery staff and just overall high standard.

We like eating at this vegetarian (and vegan) Indian restaurant. There’s always a range of dishes that you are not going to find elsewhere in the area. And a firm favourite is not a single dish but the thalis that are only on offer on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings. A complete meal, from starters through to dessert, served in small metal dishes, on a metal tray, which works as your plate. We don’t order it every visit, so don’t get bored with the fact the dishes don’t change So, to start, there was a deep fried ball of battered mashed potato (bateta vada) and a bhaji, mainly onion but deeply coloured with perhaps beetroot. They go well with the little dishes of raita and chopped salad. Moving on to the main courses, there’s an excellent dahl, a creamy but well spiced paneer curry and, from the Gujarati and Rajasthani section of the main menu, a potato and pea curry (vatana bateta). You don’t go short of carbs here. There’s a crisp papad, roti and rice, of course. For dessert, a single ball of gulab jamun, in a very sweet syrup. You are not going away hungry from dinner.

We went for a family meal to celebrate a birthday. I took a cake which they graciously brought out after our meal. I am gujerati myself and the food was both delicious and plentiful. Service was kind and not imposing. Reasonably priced too. We will be back!

If, like me, you think that a Tarka Daal might be one of the greatest culinary inventions, then Sanskruti will do a good job of proving it.

„We do not serve customers with any allergies“ is stated on the cover of the current menu. We used to eat here a lot, so we were taken aback by the sour-faced two men who lacked any hint of customer service skills or even an attempt to smile. Having been seated without a word, we then saw the allergies policy on the new version of the menu. The initial temptation was to ask whether my allergy to tree pollen will now get me kicked out but seemed too risky given the servers’ general contempt for their customers. So we decided that it was too much hassle to drive elsewhere during Rushhour to get some food, and ordered what we always do, hoping that they hadn’t started putting nuts into the dish since our last visit. We were hungry and hoped the legally required declaration of allergens on the dish description were correct. The food (served with a grudge) was good, just a shame that the staff who used to beam with pride are no longer there. Trying to get the attention of the two guys to pay proved impossible so my husband went to the till to pay. It was only afterwards that we realised that had added a tip to the bill which was neither deserved nor agreed. Imagine the likes of Prêt A Manger putting a discriminating sign up saying „We do not serve customers with any allergies“…. Shame on you, Sanskruti!

Always great food and service, a must try.

Technically on time, but considering the restaurant is only a mile away the delivery itself took about 20 mins. Meant the food was barely warm. It was also very expensive for what I got. I've always loved the food here, but unfortunately I'll be thinking twice before ordering again.

In recent days, it’s been reported that India is likely to become the world’s most populous country within a few years. It reminds you just how diverse the country is in its food – affected both by geography and culture. And Sanskruti (the word translates from Hindi as “culture”) sets out to offer a diverse menu of traditional vegetarian and vegan dishes. We are omnivores, regularly eating vegetarian food and it’s always a pleasure to come here because the menu has dishes that you are not going to see on the menus of the Anglicised high street curry houses. That said, there’s an increase in local places serving Mumbai street food dishes, so samosa chaat is something we’ve eaten before and we were interested to see how Sanskruti’s version compared with others. And the answer was that it compared very well. Crisp samosa, filled with spiced potato, was broken up and topped with chickpeas, onion, tomato and chilli, drizzled with yoghurt with a background flavour of sweet/sharp chutney. A vegetarian version of seekh kebab, made from vegetables and soya mince tasted pretty much like the traditional meat version but was quite dry in texture. It was OK, but not one to order again. Both main courses were new to us. And kaju masala was a knockout. It’s a Punjabi cashew nut curry, so there’s texture from the nuts which is really nice. We usually prefer Indian dishes that don’t have a lot of sauce but this was very liquid. But it was absolutely delicious – made from tomato and onion, it was smooth and almost creamy but packed a punch from chilli. It mixed with the rice well and was perfect for scooping up with the tandoorti roti we’d also ordered. From the section of the menu featuring dishes from Gujarat and Rajasthan, there was Vegetable Jaipuri. It’s a dish with minimal sauce that clings to the mixed vegetables, which come lightly mashed together, with peas and green beans stirred through for a bit of contrast. The spicing is well rounded, with no single spice dominating– and there’s a tiny bit of background sweetness in there as well, for balance. It’s also really good. So, as on previous visits, it was a pleasant evening, with really nice food, even though service is a tad perfunctory
