Sagor Balti in Manchester

We have been going to Sagar balti every week for over twenty years, we have 4 children some very fussy eaters, we wouldn't go anywhere else food is exceptional, staff are great nothing is to much trouble and great value for money, Friday night would not be the same without a Sagar balti

You were shut tonight when we planned to order so had to go to one of your local competitors, and it was a costly reminder of just how great Sagor Balti is. Quality curry with excellent flavours (we normally go Bhuna but Madras and Balti also don’t disappoint), Bhaji, Poppadoms and Naan. The Amazing Special Offer is worthy of its name, incredible value for money. If you’re looking for a classic curry you won’t get better in the area, even if you pay 30% more somewhere else imo

Can't recommend Sagor Balti enough, the sauces were rich, fresh and full of flavour, the chicken and lamb were so tender and juicy, and there was plenty of onions and peppers. We had the supreme set meal for two, the Bombay potatoes had fresh potatoes in (sometimes we've found takeaways put frozen roast potatoes in yuck) and the onion baajis were actually worth eating, they were delicious! can't recommend this place enough!

Myself and my father have been enjoying Sagor Balti for the last few years. Highly recommend the Garlic Chicken Balti and the Vegetable Korma. Friendly staff and a top service. We'd be lost without them!

Order the set menu every time. Meat is lovely and tender, non greasy like some places I've ordered from, So much quality food here for the price. I will not order else where.

Tried this takeaway after receiving a flyer through the door. We liked the look of the menu and it didn’t disappoint! Lovely curries made with good quality ingredients and not greasy at all. Really good value for money and they even gave us extra poppadoms. Our order arrived in less than half an hour on a Saturday night! Very impressed, we’ll definitely order again.

Esta noche comí deliciosa comida de este restaurante. Popadoms frescos y crujientes. Pedí 4 pero obtuve mucho más (ventaja), el entrante mixto era encantador. Pedí un buen plato picante de pollo y me ayudaron con el segundo plato principal con un kebab de cerdo Tengo que decir que tenemos suerte aquí, ya que solo vivimos a 5 minutos de distancia, así que pudimos recolectar, pero nos atrajeron a ordenar debido a los fabulosos aromas que llegaban a nuestro jardín trasero. No nos decepcionó. La comida era deliciosa y fue un descanso delicioso tener una experiencia de cita de viernes en el encierro Gracias x

This is by far the best take away curries in Manchester. The chicken tawaburra and the other baltis are amazing. You must try it, my son loves the korma here.

I’ve lived in Northenden a long time but only found this little beauty on the recommendation of my neighbour as it’s only a small shop front. Food has been fantastic every time we have ordered. The prices are fantastic and the portion sizes are brilliant. We have had delivery a couple of time and it has come either really quickly or if we order in advance exactly on the time we ask for. It’s a real little gem of a place.

Nipped here last night as I was passing through and it has been a while since I ate from here. It is by far one of the best takeaway curry places in The North West or UK. I travel a lot and like to try different places for food. This is my favourite place to get a curry, the chicken tabbuwarra is to die for its incredible. No need for rice as it comes inside an omelette, the flavours are outstanding with a nice amount of heat. I forgot how good this actually was and last night has reignited my desire to frequent more often. I have tried most of the menu over the years and they all have distinctive flavours. This is a hidden gem.

Awful kebab, thick donner meat and drowned in chilli sauce so much the naan bread was soggy, went straight in the bin, phoned up to complain and offered me a fresh one, no thanks, not after having the first one, didnt apologise or offer a refund.

Being late wasn't a problem,the food was lovely but I paid for mango,mint sauce and onions for the poppadums and I didn't receive them.Would still order from them again

So firstly the sauce was a little bit runny for me and over oily, also the food turned up 15 mins early and was hot but not piping hot so had it have been on time it likely would have been luke warm. However the negatives stop there. The cutty itself was tasty and flavourful and the chicken a was cooked perfectly, the mixed meat starter was also perfectly cooked the seekh kebab was one of the best I've tasted. Naan was soft and chewy as it should be and the rice granules stuck together intermittently like old friends meeting at a reunion. Beautiful curry and I will certainly be back

Second time we ordered from here, and it was so much better this time! Order came in under 13 minutes and a really nice guy delivered the food! Do recommend, nice food, nice staff. Nicely priced too.

I regularly order from here and spend over £45 each time and only ever get 3 popadoms free? Well never again ordered on Friday night kebab meat was awful and I’m sure it was the day before food just re heated. In the mixed starters the lamb smelt rotten needless to say none of us ate it and we ordered 3!!!! Byriani we had about 5 pieces of chicken in the whole dish the chips were stone cold again I’m sure these were the day before! So I’ll go eles where in future which is a shame as they used to do an amazing kebab but lately this place has gone down hill

Realmente decepcionado si estoy siendo honesto. Escuché esas cosas buenas sobre este lugar, así que pedimos en línea. Enseguida, se olvidaron de traer poppadoms, pero en lugar de un reembolso de poppadom, simplemente dijeron que la próxima vez que ordenáramos al personal que ordenamos que no obtuviéramos un poppadom y podrían darnos unos gratis. . . A mí eso me parece una estafa para hacerte una segunda visita.

Worst curry i’ve ordered on Just Eat. Chicken was dry and chewy, the sauce it came in was bright red ? and tasted like it came from a cheap jar. The rice was fine and the naan was undercooked. Gross.

Food was 30 mins late and had to be microwaved. Wasn’t very nice. Disappointing so wont be ordering here again.

We pre-ordered the meal so that my young daughter could eat with us before bedtime. The late delivery meant the meal was rushed and they failed to deliver three items, one of which was her boiled rice so she had half a meal. The chap on the phone wasn't apologetic but offered to deliver the missing items in half an hour, which was too late so told him not to bother. Very disappointing service. He didn't seem to care that he would lose our future custom because as far as he was concerned, we are not his customers but just eat's customers. Bizarre!

Despite pre-ordering, meal was 30mins late. Not up to usual standard, sheikh kebab looked like last nights leftover and whole meal, although barely warm, was lovely. Will give them the benefit of the doubt, (everybody has an off day), so will order from here again.

Cancelled order after it being 30 minutes late. Called the restaurant and was told 5 minutes, 20 minutes later was told he’d got confused with the address and it was now on its way. Shame because it’s usually really nice

The food was genuinely delicious and of obvious good quality. However, the food was delivered half an hour late and was stone cold when it arrived, so we had to re-heat it ourselves. Tried ringing the restaurant at least 4 times and each time it went straight to voicemail or eventually went to voicemail after being made to wait a few minutes.

I ordered on the phone a SET MEAL FOR 2 & you didn’t even get that right!? I recieved no starters and am really disappointed with this! When I phoned back to state the problems with my order the woman said oh sorry I must’ve took it down wrong, my mistake. Yet hung up the phone after the conversation! This is not an appropriate way to treat a customer & would be great if the person listened on the phone to what I asked for.

I ordered a curry, garlic naan, bajis and a mixed kebab. My partners curry was great, however the mixed kebab was inedible. I rang to complain and said I was happy to pay for the curry but did not want to pay for the kebab. They agreed to process a refund and asked me call Just Eat to arrange. JE called the restaurant whilst I was on the phone to them, and Sagor said they would refund if they could collect the uneaten food to which I agreed. JE spoke to them again to confirm, and Sagor then said they were no longer willing to process a refund, only a replacement! JE agreed to refund me as I was fuming! Very, very poor customer service. I definitely won't be ordering from here again. Happy to provide photos of anyone wants to see the disgusting mess that was delivered to me. Chewy lamb tikka, thick doner meat with bones in it - absolutely awful!

Delivery time and restaurant service were marked down as we only got half the order on time, however realising their mistake, the restaurant had sent a second driver with the rest of the order, so they lost 1 star but it was a good recovery! Food was spot on as always... Great kebabs, loads of meat and very tasty bread. Chips were also piping hot.

Food was delivered early but some of the items ordered weren't included so rang up and got it sorted really quickly with the polite gentleman on the phone. Rest of food was delivery within 20 minutes. Chicken tikka madras was one of the best i've had yet. Chicken pakoras were really dry, though they still tasted okay. Donnar meat with chips and the donnar kebabs were smaller than expected but still really tasty. Definitely ordering from here again, though will have to order a little extra next time.

I order the veg korma regularly it’s hands down the nicest veg korma I’ve ever tasted . and it’s always packed with a great selection of vegetables, very very tasty .

Absolutely awful. Vegetarian meal came with chicken in it. Rang up and very politely asked if I'd misread the menu or if it was a mistake, and if I could order something without chicken. Woman on the phone said it was the wrong order, asked why I couldn't just eat the chicken, and insisted I give the last lot back. Next lot arrives promptly (kudos to the lovely drivers both times!) but is a totally different curry to what I ordered the first time! At least it was chicken-less. I give up.

Very nice takeaway and the special meal deal is fantastic value for money, 2 curries, 1 pilau rice, 1 naan, 1 portion of onion bhaji (4bhajis), 1 portion of chicken tikka starter (6 pieces), portion of Bombay aloo and 2 pompadoms with onions and chutney all for £14.95 great value 👍

45 minutes late - cold food - soggy naan bread - no apology

Really not happy with this food tonight, my food came freezing and I mean freezing cold and items missing so I called and they said they will re do my order and it will b there within half an hour... an hour later it came the driver who wasn’t the same driver as the 1st time was rude tried to stand in my house and demanded the 1st order back luckily I have already put it in the bag ready he demanded the stuff back also that was missing off the order when I explained that we didn’t receive them he stormed off down my drive, the second lot of food wasn’t nice either.. so disappointed as this place has never let me down before

The food was awful everything tasted like it had been warmed up in the microwave . All the food apart from the samosa thrown straight into the bin . We used to order from here all the time and have never had to write a bad comment. Really gone down hill

Delivery on time, kebab fantastic as aways but unfortunately the chips were freezing.

I’m pretty fussy with my kebabs, and don’t rate any of the local kebab houses, so usually end up heading to fallowfield. But the kebab from Sagor Balti was actually pretty good, not the best I’ve ever had but it was good, and that’s big praise coming from me :) will order again!

Prawn cocktail was warm and the chicken in the kebab was cold.

not one of my requests where read or taken note of so I could not eat the food..why put comments if ignored..you put disgusting salad and mayo all over bottom of kebab when i requested you served any sauce or salad seperate to all food..the bread on kebab just ended up soggy and stuck to the foil..i cannot stand the smell of it never mind the taste..all in bin..thanks guys..with this I cannot comment on your food value/taste
