Great food this evening. The experience is very enjoyable and relaxed. Our servers (particularly Phoebe!) were terrific. If in doubt always ask for the edomame!!

Mike did a great job. The food was fantastic. We had a good variety of dishes, for a party of 7. I really recommend Tampopo for a spectacular dinner out !

Amazing food and lovely atmosphere, staff were very attentive and made me feel at home. Tried the new chicken Buddha bowl and was unreal , just what you need for a quick spring lunch.

It is literally my favourite spot for Asian food in Manchester! Staff isnalways very welcoming and understanding, kitchen flexible and this food! I could eat here everyday!

I've been visiting Tampopo for years, and as always the food and service was amazing. It's one of my favourite pan-Asian restaurants and my daughters always love it. We love the chilled and friendly staff, and the food is always brilliant. Could not recommend enough!

Came here on a Saturday night, the service was faultless, all the staff were friendly , attentive and keeping busy, probably become one of our favourite spots. Thank you to Marie, Mike and Amel.

Unusual brunch dishes and drinks. Vietnamese coffee and kiwi coolers. Steak & eggs done differently! Great friendly service.

We booked a table here last minute for a dinner whilst we spent the weekend in Manchester. The exterior of the restaurant doesn't match the vibe of their online presence but don't let that put you off! Inside, it was a really cute and cosy restaurant. The staff were really attentive, shout out to Marie for being such a wonderful hostess. We decided to do small plates style tapas to try lots of different things. Most were delicious, although we did go a bit adventurous with the beef tataki! (Cold, raw slices of beef fillet!) Definitely recommend to those looking for a cosy intimate dining experience.

Great time with our great server, Marie. She was very friendly and offered such good service. We felt very taken care of. And the food was DELICIOUS! I had the black pepper stir fry with rump steak. My sister had the fukuoka tonkatsu ramen which she loved.

Very tasty food, lots of vegan options. Portions are on the smaller side but really authentic Asian food. I can't wait to come back again Our server Mike was also very polite and attentive. Thanks!

Great place to taste asian cuisine. I particularly liked the kimchi cucumber salad. The staff was very friendly and gave me some suggestions since it was the first time I was trying asian cuisine.

Really amazing and quick service. Our waitress Liv was amazing especially with how extreamly busy it was. We were a large group and they were very accommodating with us especially while waitting for other members of the group

Found this spot for dinner as a double date and was very impressed with El, she was very attentive, knowledgeable and overly a real credit to the restaurant and made our night that little bit better. Thank you El X

Good food but the place is small and the seats are so compacted next to each other and not comfortable. Wouldn't rush back

Very average and overrated. Visited on Sat early evening with group of four. Service was great, food not so great, everything was very average and overpriced for what you got. The chicken was very dry and some dishes were lacking in any real flavour. They very kindly offered me a new dish which was ok but still very average for the price. Also the drinks were all very tasteless and watered down. Definitely won’t be coming back as it used to be so much better, the quality of the food has suffered sadly. There’s much more authentic places in the city centre that have better value as well.

We were served by El, and it was so yummy! Very accommodating to Vegetarians, and was super knowledgeable about the menu. Would totally recommend, very chill atmosphere and small but comfortable social eatting. (Cocktails are also great!)

Gorgeous meal at Albert Square tonight. We were greeted as we walked in and as it was our first visit, staff explained how things worked. El served us and gave us her personal recommendations which was really helpful insight. Our starters of kimchi salad & belly pork were delicious- the belly pork was particularly cooked to perfection and the sauce was out of this world! We both had mains of pad krapow one with chicken one with pork and we thoroughly enjoyed! The toilets were clean and there were hangers for coats. We would visit here again in a flash! Thanks El!

Visited Tampopo in Albert Square last night before our theatre trip. The staff were all super friendly. I ordered the rare beef salad. Oh my goodness, this dish was amazing. My mouth is still watering. There were so many taste explosions on a plate. I didn't realise that this dish took so long to make, not that I was worried, but unexpectedly, we were brought some prawn crackers as a way of apologising. I'd have waited another hour to receive this meal! Our main waitress was El, she was lovely and very attentive. She engaged with all the customers that she served. It was a fabulous night, and I can't wait to go back!

This is a lovely basement based tiny restaurant. The chef cooks really wonderful food. However, the portion is too small compare with the price. However, there is 10% service charge although you do not get any real 'service' as some witresses are not very keen to serve their customers. The girl served the drink was good.
