I went this afternoon with my son about 2.20. I have always enjoyed the food but was disappointed today. I had a cold boiled egg on my Nasi Gorang Royale. It usually had a fried egg and this spoilt it for me. I enquired about this with the waitress. She said this was correct. I have been quite often over the years and had a good experience. I asked for the bill but could not look at it properly as the waitress wanted to be paid immediately and we didn't have a chance to see the bill which my son paid and I think it was a little over £40 as my son gave her £43. I have never been disappointed before either with the food or the service

Second time here and I loved it once again, the beef rendang is one of the best things I’ve ever eaten. And our server Maria was lovely and attentive :)

Went here with my cute boyfriend the other week, got gyoza to share, man got his curry and i- noodles with chicken. Very tasty, would definitely come back if in Manchester again. Server lady was very friendly. Great music choice as well (classics and Chappel, hello, a good bop)

Comfortably furnished. Warm welcome. Many thanks to Karolina, she was very friendly and patient with us. The dishes tasted excellent and were very nicely prepared. Be sure to try the Vietnamese coffee. Just great!

Lovely food. A bit bossy when it came to what you could and couldn't order from the menus over Christmas. Felt like being in trouble at school before we had a chance to sit down.

I went to Tampopo second time in 2 weeks, first time was in London and this time Manchester. The food is really good and we were served by lovely girl Eleonor. I recommend this restaurant and I'm sure I will come back.

Lovely food and would come again

After debating endlessly over where to eat we decided that Tampopo was a sound and reliable choice at a decent price. It delivered! At £10 for a workers lunch you really can't do much better than this. We eat out a lot including high end places and the quality of food here is really good. Not a special occasion restaurant but great food at a decent price.

Four of us dined on a Sunday afternoon and the restaurant was empty. We were the only customers. Place looked like it was about to close. There were plastic buckets on the counter in front of us, in-between the spray cleaning products and pre prepared bowls of prawn crackers... We asked for the Christmas Menu and were told that the WHOLE table have to order from it if we wish to get this offer. Why? Should we have aaked for a table of 3 and a table of 1 then? Seriously, no need, especially when the place was empty... The spring rolls were absolutely dripping with oil, I did not finish my portion due to this. The katsu curry was good however, the chicken portion was on a very thin side... The oil was repeating on me for the rest of the day. Sadly we won't be returning to Tampopo any time soon. It feels like it's lost its mojo... It feels very tired and definitely overpriced. Such a shame - you used to be so good Tapopo 😢

Tried the Nasi Goreng, need to add some Sambal a side 😬🤓.

We had pad thai and green curry. Two of their most recommended dishes. It wasn’t bad but we have had better authentic ones. I would say it was average in terms of taste, the quantity was alright. Might never go back again. The ambiance was good though.

We tried the Nasi Goreng and Beef Rendang. The presentation wasn't quite what we expected from these classic dishes, YET the flavours really took us back to our holidays in Malaysia and Indonesia. The Beef Rendang was delicious, but it wasn't spicy as we anticipated. I’d recommend asking for extra spice if you prefer it hot, as we assumed it would be naturally spicy. One small disappointment was that the egg wasn't sunny side up, but I must say, the boiled/fried eggs were perfectly cooked with a runny yolk. Kudos to the chefs. I appreciate the creative twist, but I personally think these signature dishes shine best when prepared traditionally. We did enjoy the meal with a bottle of Singha🍻 Another holiday memory(Thailand) was brought back with this beer.

Food was great - we had the jackfruit rendang it was delicious ! Both Elise and Hollie were fantastic waiting staff and made us feel really welcome.

We had the best time at Tampopo on Saturday. The food was so authentically tasty! The starters were amazing! We had spring rolls and butterfly prawns and satay chicken. I had the Thai green curry which was exceptional.Thank you Chef Aaron. Our waitress Eleanor was lovely and was so patient taking the kids orders as they changed their minds 10 times! They also helped us surprise my cousin with a birthday cake we had brought abd made her day very special. Thanks to the entire team. We will definitely be back!

We had an amazing time. The Christmas menu was really really tasty. Elise was really nice and made sure we were not sitting drinkless. We've been told that our chef was Bolo, and I have to say, the portions were amazing for $. Totally recommend! ❤️

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me I seem to have a tendency to fall for subpar asian restaurants that have interesting decor but underwhelming food. This place was not different, with the flowering tea (burnt), the beef (oversweet) and the traditional green Thai curry (not traditional at all) I found this experience extremely disappointing at over 30 pounds per person for very subpar asian food that's presented as traditional and delicious (it was neither)

Service here is outstanding. The flavours of the food are a treat. The noodles could have arrived hotter, and I like more vegetables, but the experience was made very positive by the helpful staff and the atmosphere. The room wasn't even as loud as I'd feared on a busy Saturday evening. Thank you
