Always so nicely suprised at Tampopo. Great ingredients and interesting menu. Chef rajesh and host Karo were fab.

Lovely place, always worth a visit! Marie was very attentive and chef Shaheen kindly reduced the spice level of my stir fry so it was tolerable for a wuss like me.

Been coming here a few years and still as tasty as the first time, brought my girlfriend who is coeliac and they are able to accommodate. Our server was Karolina, she was very attentive and helpful

Service here is outstanding. The flavours of the food are a treat. The noodles could have arrived hotter, and I like more vegetables, but the experience was made very positive by the helpful staff and the atmosphere. The room wasn't even as loud as I'd feared on a busy Saturday evening. Thank you

Fool me once shame on you, fool me twice shame on me I seem to have a tendency to fall for subpar asian restaurants that have interesting decor but underwhelming food. This place was not different, with the flowering tea (burnt), the beef (oversweet) and the traditional green Thai curry (not traditional at all) I found this experience extremely disappointing at over 30 pounds per person for very subpar asian food that's presented as traditional and delicious (it was neither)

Fantastic food and lovely place. We had 3 started (the sticky wings, the satay skewers and the duck pancakes - fabulous) and the katsu curry. I had a lovely spicy margarita. Would come here again.

Lovely tucked away restaurant, perfect for a date night or just a catch up with mates. The food was cooked to perfection. The staff were keen to help and suggest dishes.

Putting stone-cold meat on top of an otherwise nice ramen was such an odd choice. Who wants to eat a warming, hearty dish of ramen with meat that feels like it's fresh out of the fridge (not even lukewarm)? Not me 😅

Uncomfortable seating with not enough space compared to the other Tampopo in Manchester. Menu changes over the last year are terrible, prices and portion sizes are a joke now.

Tampopo is a fantastic pan-Asian restaurant that truly impressed me with its vibrant flavours. The dishes I tried were bursting with taste, and the touch of lime juice added a perfect balance that elevated the entire meal. I’ll definitely be returning with my Manchester food group to enjoy more of what they offer. The service was excellent, and the location is spot-on, making it a must-visit for anyone who appreciates great food.

A group of us went for Sunday lunch but unfortunately was met with unwelcoming servers. Food is fairly enjoyable but the rudeness of one of the waiting staff made the stay very difficult. Our group was very disappointed with the lack of care that was given to us specifically. She seemed to be polite to other groups just not ours. 😔

We had an amazing dinner. The food was delicious and the service, impeccable

We had tonkotsu ramen and katsu udon noodle soup for dinner, along with two drinks (one alcoholic and one non-alcoholic), for a total of £40. Unfortunately, the portion sizes were very small, and we left still feeling hungry! The pork belly slices in the ramen were cold, and we were only given half an egg each. The breaded chicken in the katsu udon was thin, and the coating separated from the meat. The soup itself was overly rich, to the point where I couldn’t finish it—it was essentially just katsu curry with noodles instead of rice. There also weren’t enough noodles to feel satisfied (think less than half of a store-bought packet of udon in a shallow bowl). While the staff were polite and didn’t rush us, I am very disappointed and won’t be returning. Tampopo used to be an affordable place to dine with decent portion sizes and proportional prices. However, it has become expensive, and unless you order multiple items, you won’t leave feeling full. They seem to have decided to hike their prices and at the same time reduced the portion sizes. Very unhappy.

Been coming here for a few years now. Always great food and good service. El our server today was the perfect mix of friendly and professional. She guided us through the menu with it's recent changes and we were very happy with our food choices. My only request (not complaint) is that vegetable gyozas are not on the menu.

We went during the day and it was pretty much empty so the staff were bored and kept asking us if we wanted more drinks, we didn't have a break in between courses as they was nothing else for the staff to do

Lovely lunch over the work break. We ordered from the Workers Lunch Menu and honestly the bacon kimchi fried rice was insane!!! Kara served us and she was so so helpful in deciding what dish to go for and was very kind. Highly recommend!!

I ate here with some work colleagues as I was staying in Manchester for a conference and a group of us agreed to eat here as it was close to our hotel and the conference venue. It's a small restaurant, only seating a maximum of 64 people. The menu is fairly limited but all the dishes sounded delicious and my own meal (Thai Curry Noodles - a hot red curry with grilled chicken breast and spices) was yummy, albeit a little liquidy (if that is a word). Everyone enjoyed their food and the restaurant were kind enough to give us individual bills to make it easier to claim back our respective food costs when back in the office. Staff were friendly and service was paced nicely. Food prices reasonable for a city centre restaurant. Tampopo is located within easy reach of train stations and the Metro stops. Overall a tasty and enjoyable meal.

Fantastic meal at Tompopo. We went early evening and ordered the sharing platter, beef rendang, and chocolate fondant.The meal was superb from start to finish. We really enjoyed the vietnanese coffee too. Staff were fab and highly recommend.
