Tampopo in Manchester

Our server was Lottie who was super friendly and also knowledgeable of the menu. Lottie was able to answer our questions on items we was not so sure on and even provided us with small customisations we can make to certain items. Food arrived within minutes and Lottie popped by frequently to make sure food was OK and that we had enough drinks. Will be visiting again.

Georgi in Manchester Corner Exchange restaurant was really lovely. The food was delicious, we had laksa and pad thai followed by cheesecake. Highly recommended.

£8.10 for a bottle of beer which is sold at the coop for £2.95 is ridiculous but food was great really liked it

Came here before a gig at the Ritz. Ordered a pork belly starter which was excellent. Followed by the sea bream which was one of their signatures on the menu. It was very good although it's served as a whole fish so it contains bones, which can be a bit frustrating to pick out. Next time I'll order the curry because of this (which I've had in the past and is also good). Lottie was our waitress who was really helpful and friendly so 5* for the service.

Food was great, service fantastic. Unfortunately they charge a fee to pay the bill using their QR code. I disapprove of paying for their convenience.

Third time visiting. Bottomless brunch at tampopo was amazing! Zottie was an amazing waitress, made sure our glasses were never empty. And the food was lovely, as always.

We had a delicious dinner here before a gig. The restaurant has a really nice vibe and is really well themed. One of our party couldn't eat spicy food and our server, Ruby was super helpful and made some great menu suggestions. We shared some small plates and everything was delicious but the gyoza were a definite standout. We really enjoyed the food and the service :)

Been here a couple of times on a friend's recommendation, the food is lovely and the restaurant has a cosy but spacious feel. Good selection of dishes and drinks and the staff are friendly too. Our waitress Alyssa was friendly and attentive.

The restaurant offers selected courses from various eastern cuisines, in a well-furnished and captivating environment. Excellent food (I tried the japanese katsu chicken together with black rice), super kind service (by Ruby and Holly), and absolutely reasonable prices for the very central location. It's just not very sunny during the daytime, since it's located in the basament floor of the Manchester Corn Exchange food hall.

Me and my partner have recently moved to the city and have been dying to find a nice Asian restaurant to make a firm fave. This ticked all the boxes, and was capped off by the loveliest server, Emma. Couldn’t do enough for us, checked in to make sure everything was to our liking and gave us a very warm farewell. Will definitely be coming back. Thank you 😊

Had a great meal with friends at Tampopo. Deffo recommend trying this again. Great surroundings also as it’s in the lovely Corn Exchange building.

This is our second visit at Tampopo, and we were absolutely delighted with our experience. Our server Lottie, was super friendly, attentive and couldn't do enough for us. We had small plates and prawn crackers and then each had a main. We also did the happy hour cocktails which were fantastic, Lottie made sure our drinks were full and we were fully happy with our experience. Would recommend Tampopo and will definitely be back again, Thanks Lottie and Tampopo team !

Excellent Service from Alyssa We had a great experience at Tampopo thanks to Alyssa’s outstanding service. She was polite, friendly, and attentive, making us feel welcome from start to finish. Her customer service was excellent, and she went above and beyond to ensure we had a great meal. Highly recommend! My partner booked this for my birthday meal and they also offered me a complimentary beer on the house, fantastic!

First time visit and very happy we chose to come here. Food - full of flavour and fresh. Service - attentive, but not too much and felt very genuine , Georgi was really welcoming and nice throughout the whole time. It was not busy during our visit , but atmosphere felt very nice and we had a great catch up while there. Already planning to re-visit. Highly recommend it.

Not our first time coming here and the staff and the food never fail to amaze!! Georgi was looking after us and she made us feel so welcomed and explained the menu perfectly. I got a katsu undon soup and I can’t recommend this enough!!! Such good value for money too

As first timers here we went in blind and were positively surprised, Kira was so nice and helpful and so patient💗 the food was so so good, we loved the kimchi salad and the spring rolls were amazing, but the star of the show is the katsu udon noodle soup💘 it was amazing and the overall atmosphere is so chill and nice, they have a halal menu😍👍🏻 will come again!
