Rachel, our waitress was absolutely amazing. From the moment we sat down to the time we left, Rachel was “on it”! She was super efficient, friendly, professional and had an amazing vibe. She has the ability to make everyone feel special. We’ll definitely return. And the food was 10/10.

We revisited Tampopo after an amazing visit two years ago, but sadly, it didn’t live up to expectations this time. The menu and food quality have declined massively, which was disappointing since we LOVED the food the first time around. The cocktails were poor, and full of ice. The food felt less authentic, especially the phad Thai, which was a shadow of the dish I loved last time. It gave the impression of a chain restaurant this time around, as opposed to authentic Thai. On a positive note, the staff were lovely and my wife really enjoyed the Vietnamese coffee. Such a shame that we felt this way, as it was fantastic two years ago...!

Staff were friendly and attentive from the moment we arrived until they all wished us goodbye as we left, in particular our main waitress, Emily. As is commonplace in many restaurants nowadays, we were requested to leave a review and I find this does inflate ratings on these review sites. It’s a perfectly nice place but not worthy of the 4.6 it currently has. The food was fine, we shared the chicken pad Thai and chicken nasi goreng. Neither had enough meat and the former could have done with more flavour. The latter was tastier. We ordered a side of prawn crackers which came to £4.30 for six large ones and were ok but would expect something special for that price. For dessert we had a chocolate fondant which was delicious but small and my partner had mango sorbet which was nice. We had a beer and a pot of tea and all of this came to £60 which was not good value for money. Atmosphere was quite nice, plenty of Asian touches but felt a bit cheap although if being generous it represented what you’d find in many street restaurants in Asia, so maybe marks for authenticity. A nice buzz in there and staff in good spirits. If looking for a quick bite to eat with a good range of options in a relaxed atmosphere then not a bad shout but if watching the pennies or looking for something a bit special then I’d look elsewhere.

Great service! Wanted to give a shout-out to our waitress Alyssa. She was very accommodating and was happily checking in to see if we wanted any more drinks etc which was much appreciated. A couple of my colleagues commented that she might just be the nicest/kindest person they've ever met, and I wanted that to be recognised. Thanks!!

I had a fantastic experience at Tampopo Corn Exchange. I was given fantastic service by Dammy, who recommended me the Pork Yaki Udon Noodles, they were tasty, flavourful and filling. For dessert I had the chocolate fondant. It was sweet but not overly so. Dammy served me with a smile and I would love to come back!

Food was delicious from starters to mains to drinks. The waitress was so friendly and considerate of our dietary needs ( sorry dont remember her name but she was Australian?). Great atmosphere & quick service, will definitely be returning.

Lottie was amazing and very friendly 10 stars to lottie. We even offered her a concert ticket to Becky Hill but she declined and preferred to stay at work.

Came here with my partner. The service was quick and prompt. We have been a few times and havent been disappointed. Will be back soon

Lovely food , our waitress was called rachel and she was lovely, very helpful, and accommodating, she was very well mannered. She also gave my baby a little toy to play with to keep him occupied (this did the trick it kept him very entertained) thanks Rachel 😊

Had the Red Thai curry with steak in it, it was so bad. Was really watery the steak was non existent and thin. The staff are really friendly and nice but the food was just bad.

My family and I went to Tampopo Corn Exchange for a meal today, and we found the service to be excellent. Since we were with children and family members who don’t speak English, we needed more time to decide what to order. Alyssa was extremely patient and never rushed us. She checked in with us multiple times to see if we needed help placing an order, and even asked if we were familiar with the menu. If we weren’t, she offered to recommend dishes, which made us feel really cared for. We ordered Vietnamese coffee, and she thoughtfully asked if we had tried it before. Since we hadn’t, she carefully explained how to enjoy it. The food here is delicious, but the most important thing was the excellent service. Will definitely come again because of the service.

It was very lovely dinner. the food is nice. the portion is great for the money. the location is great close to the tram or uber stop and the people in this place is so lovely, especially Mss Rachel who helps us with our order. Everything is so great. Very recommended 🥰

I’m Indonesian and ofc I tried their beef rendang. I think they made it 95% similiar to indo’s rendang. The beef was soft, easy to chew, the spice tasted good but for me it was too sweet. And when I checked the ingredients, they made rendang with Brazilian nuts which is weird because no rendang contain nuts. Overall, the beef was perfect but I think they should improve the ingredients!

Tampopo should be top of your list! The food was insane and Emily & Lottie were a delight - super attentive and they couldn’t do enough for us. The only 4 star is because it was really warm!

The service is amazing, I said my food was too spicy and they replaced with an alternative at no charge! Emily is lovely x will come back at some point
