The Jelloff rice was greasy and oily didn’t taste fresh and the meat was slightly off as if the food had been in the freezer .all the food was dry with no flavour it used to be good not sure what’s happening if your really really hungry buy and if your not Nigerian buy as you won’t be able to tell the difference but as for Nigerians don’t touch .I hope the cook reads the review and actually put effort for the amount of money spent it was really disappointing I know they can do better as I have ordered before

Probably the worst food I have ever tested. AVOID.

Went on a Groupon Deal with the family having been there a few years earlier. Then the "6-course" deal had lots of starters on a platter followed by a choice of main courses. Very nice, very tasty and we were stuffed. Now there is a pre-printed limited-choice set menu where you pick one starter and one main course. No wonder we were the only ones in there. Even if they had the cheek to include the quarter of a small flatbread which the 4 of us had to share that would be 3 courses at best. So unless they are including the glass of water and the knife and fork as separate courses, I don't know where they get 6 from. Whilst I tried to explain to the very polite and helpful waitress, her English wasn't very good, and there was no point having a go at her. The limited menu had a choice of 4 mains, all of which had meat in, so she had to phone the owner to see what they could do for my vegetarian daughter. The service was very good and food was actually quite tasty but my Chicken main was just chicken and a bit of salad, whereas we also got rice previously. I fully understand that times are hard, shrinkflation etc and if it was advertised as a two-course meal we may well have gone for it - but don't lie to get people in as it just gets their backs up. As it was, we were still hungry after the meal and very disappointed with the experience.

I have been using Peking Chef for over 3 years. I thought it was about time I left a review. The prices are extremely competetive, the food portions are generous and the service is very good and very friendly. Most importantly the quality of the food is excellent. I have tried other Chinese takeaways throughout these 3 years, maybe looking for something slightly different but always return to Peking Chef. Thanks for your great service and great food. Paul.

Muy buena comida, estaba muy ocupado el sábado por la noche y aunque habíamos reservado sí tuvimos que esperar un poco para la mesa, porque había una cola para caminar en mesas, las puertas estaban permanentemente abiertas hasta alrededor de las 9 de la noche, lo que significaba que era un poco de corriente por la puerta, pero eso era lo único negativo. El servicio y la comida era excelente.

I had the vegan breakfast which exceeded my expectations, although I felt the placement of a spring roll and falafel was quite random. It was the first time I tried tofu and it was extremely nice. Even the toast was spot on! For £6, it was good value for money, especially knowing I could eat everything in the cafe without having to worry. The smoothies were nice too, but were a bit more like juice since they weren’t as thick as a smoothie. I really enjoyed the vibe of the cafe as everyone was so friendly there, it really reminded me of a cafe I used to work at with its chill atmosphere. Can’t wait to go back. They’re also on this fantastic app called ‘Too Good To Go’ which gives you the food a place has leftover at the end of the day at a reduced price so that it doesn’t go to waste! Definitely check it out if you want to save food from being wasted, or just fancy a surprise for breakfast, lunch or dinner.

Ordered the vada pav for £4 which is a great price for a decent, authentic bit of street food. The rest of the menu is reasonably priced as well and has a good variety of vegetarian options. Will be coming back for something bigger next time.

I called in here while waiting at the hospital, the staff were very friendly and polite. I ordered a pizza, which was quite frankly, Amazing, I’m not sure who the ladie was who was preparing the pizza, I think I was Michelle but could be wrong. She brought the pizza to the table and asked if I would want any additional food or sauce. The pizza was excellent. The beer was great (I’m no stranger to holts smooth) and it was exemplary. The ladie behind the bar was very attentive I think her mane was Sarah? She was very chatty. Polite to all the customers. Sarah came over mid meal to ask if everything was ok. I really felt like a local who had been drinking here for years. However this was my first visit. It certainly won’t be my last. Great service. Great food. And great beer. Well done to the team at the grafton arms.
