I called in here while waiting at the hospital, the staff were very friendly and polite. I ordered a pizza, which was quite frankly, Amazing, I’m not sure who the ladie was who was preparing the pizza, I think I was Michelle but could be wrong. She brought the pizza to the table and asked if I would want any additional food or sauce. The pizza was excellent. The beer was great (I’m no stranger to holts smooth) and it was exemplary. The ladie behind the bar was very attentive I think her mane was Sarah? She was very chatty. Polite to all the customers. Sarah came over mid meal to ask if everything was ok. I really felt like a local who had been drinking here for years. However this was my first visit. It certainly won’t be my last. Great service. Great food. And great beer. Well done to the team at the grafton arms.

Not a copy and paste northern quarter pub, or bougie bottomless brunch bar. The Grafton arms is one of a kind. Picture everything you love about a typical British boozer... Chatty locals, great priced drinks and a well maintained pool table. Now combine that with regular showings of women's sports, a great pizza menu, weekly live music, and the wildest and best pub quiz you will ever take part in – that's everything you'll find at the Grafton Arms. All the staff are friendly and knowledgeable about the local area, handy if you're just visiting Manchester or at one of the many concert venues in the area. I think the Grafton is great for young and old punters a like, and definitely somewhere I will recommend to anyone looking for an affordable yet entertaining meeting place!

Great drinks and service… Clientele, very odd… Not sure if the hospital has anything to do with it but for there to be a pub on the door step of a hospital entrance is worrying… But I guess this where times are heading..

Called into the Grafton today for a spot if lunch. Had a very warm welcome. I had the macaroni and cheese with garlic bread was delicious. My friend had the beef lasagne that also was excellent. Service prompt and efficiently served. I will certainly be calling in again. I will also be recommending to my friends. Sarah and her team are providing an excellent service to the community.

Great traditional pub, Nice vibe, chilled venue, great selection of booze. The new managers Sarah and Lawrence are awesome and so are the staff. Customer service at it's best. Highly recommend the Grafton Arms.

I was so impressed with my experience here yesterday. The pub was clean, welcoming and social distancing measures were in place. There was lots of choice on the menu, even for myself as a vegetarian. I opted for the sweet potato and chickpea curry which was gorgeous! The portion sizes were big and Sarah, the landlady, was polite and friendly when serving us. It was also free pool Wednesday and so my son and I could have a game whilst we waited. Super location too for visiting the town centre. I will definitely be back. They also mentioned that they offer a 20% discount for NHS staff.

Great place for beer and lager which is also cheap. There is also a happy hour (lasts for 3 hours). We were glad it was open all day because it’s just around the corner from the travelodge which had closed its Restaurant and bar.

First time I’d been in for a few years, very impressed. Was introduced to the new landlady Sarah, really great and lovely and was talking about all the events she’s going to put on. All the staff were great too. Will definitely be back and be a regular here. Excellent

This place is an absolute disaster. They forget what is ordered and when you complain to the manager she does NOT like it and tries saying that you as the customer is wrong. I will not be recommending this place to anyone not even students.

I went in today because the pub used to have a sign outside advertising a Sunday Roast. That must have disappeared at some point in the last month because apparently they don't any more, although I did get my hands on gammon with mashed potato, roasted potato, cabbage, carrots, gravy, and chicken. Shame about the lack of Yorkshire Puddings though! The atmosphere was kind of nice; most of the people in the bar seemed to know each other, and people watching was fun. It took my partner over five minutes to be served at the bar, despite bar staff having looked directly at him several times. Eventually, a local pointed out to the kitchen staff how long he'd been waiting, and a taciturn waitress took our order, getting it wrong in the process; my partner ordered a normal breakfast but was given and charged for a large breakfast instead. When the food was delivered, the member of staff dumped it on the table and walked off without bothering to make eye contact. The food was a little bland, but, for £3.50, not bad.

Came in for a pre gig drink and some food, only to discover that at 4:55 pm the kitchen had closed... The people in here at the moment make the star wars cantina look like a swanky high class joint. That said, they do a decent pint.

Stopped by here on out way passed for a drink and was very impressed with the pub, lovely big areas with lots of seating! Great happy hour offers and food very reasonably priced, we ended up staying for a few hours and the staff were lovely, great jukebox, would recommend if you like a nice warm and friendly local pub.

The decor reminds me of a working mans club but it appears clean and the service at the bar is friendly and efficient. The food is basic and the portions a bit on the small side but they do taste good (the fish is nicely done and the chicken and leek pie is nice too). I recommend the award winning Crystal lager which is a good drop. The pub is situated just outside of the Manchester Royal Infirmary Hospital so is quite handy for visiting for a quick bite to eat. The clientele are a mix of young and old who all appeared nice mannered. A negative i did notice was there appeared to be a lot of smokers outside of the front of the pub though although i guess that is par for the course nowadays. They also appear to do a 20% food discount for NHS staff which is always a good bonus.

Staying at the Travelodge and needed somewhere within walking distance for some food and a few beers. The grafton arms was a 5 min walk. Yes its as local pub but everyone was very friendly. Decent bottle of wine and the beer was really good. Ordered the 2 meals for £10, great value. Had a couple of chats with the locals and the staff, very friendly. If ever we stay at the Travelodge again we know where to come for a beer

We were looking for somewhere to go for a drink and a meal before going to see a band at the Apollo. The hotel staff suggested the Grafton Arms amongst several others. So we went with the intent of having a drink before moving on for a meal. The staff were very welcoming and the pub was fine. Happy hour was pleasantly much longer than an hour. The beer was good and friendly staff. So a drink became two and we decided to have a meal. The food was pub grub but the chicken and leek pie and gravy was very good. We had a slight mix up with one of the meals but the staff sorted it out very quickly and without any problem. So if you are looking for somewhere for a meal and a drink before say a show in the area it is well worth it. We were staying in Manchester to visit a great-niece and her boyfriend and had a spare evening. We had decided against eating in our posh hotel, because the “B-team” was running the bar and they had put us off, badly. What a different world when we entered Don Giovanni’s on Oxford Street (Manchester 1). An immediate and friendly welcome, with the cheery and involved banter continuing throughout our evening. No, this was not intrusive, Zehra was intuitive enough to know how to treat each table. This was back in April and so I can not now recall either the wins of the courses, but we’ll be back. What a joy. - thank you Zehra and co.

This was a great experience for my self and my husband who visited the tea room recently. The room was so wonderfully decorated with the festive vibe and very welcoming. The young lady who attended our table was called Lottie who was a really pleasant and friendly person. She regularly checked that we had everything we needed. The whole experience was really good and all the staff were so helpful and friendly. The food was excellent with so much choice and also for those people with allergies a good choice. Thank you

I have been to the oxnoble a few times now and felt compelled to leave a review at my earliest convenience. The pub is a decadent, historic building nestled within the heart of Castlefield. When first entering the pub you’re struck by an awe of comfort and homeliness. The young and spunky staff are attentive, respectful and offer a smile with service at no extra charge. Whether dining, drinking or enjoying a social with friends, you’ll find the experience and environment to be positively enlightening from start to finish. The staff aren’t shy, and aspire to be as welcoming as possible. Faith regaled me with tales of her time in America with cans of beans. Sam as acting manager works incredibly hard to make sure staff and customers alike are smiling and having a good time. Ben’s and Toms funky shirts bring a smile to my face everytime I see them. Lottie knows the bar better than a lifelong local and will tell you straight. Sion is a true old school gentleman and will treat you properly. Adam will be fondly missed. And the new girls are the two sides of Ying and Yang. In short: A trip to the Oxnoble pub is one of the most enriching, rewarding and wholesome experiences of your life.
