This was our second visit, the first time was for dinner and this was for lunch. We arrived by taxi was was meet by a young gentleman in a bowler hat who gave u a nice welcome walked us 5 yards and handed us over to the receptionist, then she confirmed our booking and took us into the bar another 5 yards. Where we were sat but had to wait ten to 15 minutes to be asked if we would like a drink despite three male members of staff being behind the bar. Maybe the person who takes you in could offer you a drink? or redeploy one of the two who greeted us. Whilst we were having a drink the very polite American lady brought the menu and some olives(I hate olives to be honest). You have to decided on which tasting menu you are going on when you book. It was a hot day outside and better air -con is needed. Lovely bread but the two butters were nearly melted. The mushroom veloute was very tasty but cold. The Canadian waiter knew his job and wines. We started with the hogget, I expected it to be juicy as it said slow roasted but it was crispy like it had been grilled and so was overcooked and the other starter of twice baked souffle was to die for. I was going to have the venison which was on the website but no sign of it on the menu when we arrived so had the pork, everything on the plate was fabulous expect for the meat again, overcooked and dry. The other main course of chicken was spot on. We finished with the signature desserts which were very sweet but need a sauce or something cold with them. No sign of Paul Askew maybe that why there was faults which at that price there should not be.

My partner worked with Nisha when she was a barrister. The legal professions loss is our gain. Mowgli is fantastic. It always has been. It's becoming a bigger chain across the UK but the Liverpool venues have always maintained their intimate, local eatery vibe. The food is always unbelievably good. It's not some ghee soaked stodge from some curry place where everything comes out looking and tasting the same regardless of what you order. Each dish is absolutely unique and has so much depth that James Cameron is trying to dive it in his sub. Nothing is going to blow your head off with spice, but it may ruin Indian cuisine for you. Nowhere comes close. Personal favourites are the Angry Bird, Bunny Chow and Temple Dahl. If it was medically possible to replace my blood with Temple Dahl, I would. We've tried the whole menu and found nothing we don't like. The house slaw is like being high-fived by the Incredible Hulk. It's amazing. We've gotten all the ruddy cookbooks, and again, nothing we don't like. Its delicious, its priced nicely, swings make you feel drunk—whats not to love?

I dined here whilst travelling for business, and as a woman alone, I was made to feel very comfortable. On top of that, the food was wonderful. I had chicken kebabs with rice, salad and chips with a very reasonably priced glass of white wine. I will definitely return!

This restaurant was recommended by a friend and so glad we decided to go with it. We did book a table, for 7 of us, in advance. We chose not to have starters after we saw the other plates being served. The portions looked nice and big. We opted for a range of dishes, mine being the lamb iskender. The meat was cooked to perfection; served with chips, rice and salad. We could see the meat being cooked fresh. Absolutely delicious!

We waited an hour and a half for our main course and were about to abandon ship when the food showed up. The waitress ventured an apology (kitchen struggling) and offered free drinks - but we didn't really want more liquid - just the food. She came back soon after and told us that we'd be eating for free. A potential bonus, but the mains weren't great though - better to turn the clock back, have it all good and pay full price for a nice evening out. I don't think I could ever persuade my better half to come back, it was all glum. If you're thinking of visiting, give them a few weeks to sort themselves out.

We popped in for a quick bite to eat before heading to a gig, and sat outside as a result. Inside looked cute and cosy. We ordered a margarita pizza and arancini to share. The pizza was lovely and the arancini was decent enough. Would visit again!
