Glass Onion in Liverpool

This restaurant is in the building where my grandparents lived when I was young! The staff were very friendly and let us look around. My family members stayed for lunch but I had to leave so only managed to take a cup of tea.

Outstanding cafe with an exquisite selection of food backed up by great service. The cafe is also really well designed and the staff are fast, attentive and professional. Highly recommend a visit.

Took my mum for Mother’s Day afternoon tea. The staff were friendly and welcoming and nothing was too much trouble. The afternoon tea was absolutely fabulous. Everything was so fresh and tasty. The quiche was to die for! Would definitely recommend!

Lovely setting and gorgeous food. Accomodated a pram and a 5 year old. I was looking forward to a sausage buttie as I didn't realise it was a vegetarian restaurant. Chose the mushrooms on toast with feta cheese, absolutley delicious. Cheese on toast and beans on toast; gorgeous artisan bread, followed by homemade cookies. Loved it!

We just love this place. Been lots and intend on going alot more. Great veggie options, homemade delicious cakes, yummiest belly buster breakfast, great variety of fresh produce and children's menu.

The breakfast and lunch is amazing! So many options for vegans and vegetarians. The coffee is great! I miss this place now that I’ve moved away from Liverpool!

Absolutely love this place, been a few times. Delicious food lovely quirky setting and outside space too. Staff are very friendly and a huge big up for Jenny , brilliant customer service and lovely genuinely friendly girl. The owner must be over the moon to have great staff . 100% recommend. One fault I can pick on is it’s not open Mondays 🤣

Great food prepared with care and served with a smile. Good selection of Vegan food on their All Day menu, along with good Vegetarian options. Very nice full strength coffee and very nice decaff also - I had both over my time there. Vegan Biscoff cake is a must to finish off your meal!. Easy to find on a busy thoroughfare the Glass Onion has 3 different indoor rooms each one distinct they also have an outdoor seating area in a suntrap rear yard, with some play equipment for the toddlers. If you're in Liverpool, make the effort to visit and support this wonderful small business.

A lovely brunch at the Glass Onion with my friend and also my little doggie Benny. Lovely happy, friendly staff. There’s so much to choose from, healthy and nutritious. My friends allergies were taken seriously and Benny got a bowl of water. There are a few different rooms to choose from we chose the pink one. Lovely

Wonderfully welcoming staff, charming place, airy high ceilings and still felt cosy, delicious warm scones, other clients pleasant, very professional approach while also v friendly. I would definitely recommend it to friends and return

New to the area tried a few local places and was looking forward to a decent veggie meal. Optimistically - wanting sunday lunch /a hot meal only a breakfast menu a few specials and burgers were available the breakfast & burgers are available most places and a bit boring as easily sourced elsewhere so opted for the scouse a few hiccups with service but that never bothers me as long as the food is good scouse - too sweet overloaded the carrots so not much else to taste - No other flavour detectable I returned it only eating half a slice of the bread which was quite nice pot of tea delicious £9:50 charged I did say that the scouse was too sweet and the mass of carrots were to blame still not offered anything but the bill paid up left won’t return

Gotta be honest I just love it here. Food is so tasty , menu is exciting and finally a place to visit that really gets 'veggie'....not as a trend or an add on. Child friendly, lovely staff very personable Great to have this option on our door step... I was shocked to see a comparison to the tavern, there are no similarities thank goodness...

With the recent explosion of vegi and vegan places to eat it still great to find somewhere that stands out. Great food, great choices all delivered in a relaxed atmosphere by the great staff. Worth the journey from the city centre.

Friendly welcome by engaging staff. Varied choice on the menu at reasonable prices. Decent portions. Lovely bowl of soup with ample bread. The toasted avocado and chilli dressing was delicious. There is also some tasty cakes. Worth returning to.

We visited here for the first time for a late lunch. I liked the choice of having a mug of delicious carrot & cauliflower soup along with a sandwich or wrap, instead of a bowl which would probably have been too filling. Plenty of choice...

Me and my partner shared a Mediterranean platter, a seitan salsa salad, and delicious lemon bar with oat milk coffees today at Glass Onion in Allerton. DELICIOUS. Lovely space, really friendly, and amazing home cooked veggie/vegan food for a really good price. Recommend to everyone!!

Wonderful down to earth people with out of this world food. Caters for my fussy 3 year old and my even pickier wife. Thank you, what a great place.
