I joined folks from church for a lunchtime meal at the Glendower a few weeks ago. I had an excellent lunch in pleasant surroundings. I very much enjoyed the prawn cocktail, the lamb dish, finished off with sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. The portion sizes were just right. Our visit lightened the mood despite the miserable weather outside.

Visited after seeing this on Tripadvisor and so glad we did. Lovely building, great service and great food. Had the breakfast. Well cooked, plate warm, good quality of ingredients and toast was two large slices with four butter pats. Def come again.

First time visiting, went on a Thursday and noticed chicken and mix for £6 myself and mum got a southern fried chicken skewer, chicken strips, jacket potato and salad. Wasn't expecting much for that price but was shocked. All food boiling hot, chicken lovely and tender, lots of salad and potato was lovely. Ice cream dessert was also great And sponge pudding with custard very tasty! Would recommend this place. They have daily offers would have been happy to pay usual price of £10. But at that price would encourage me to go back sooner. Friendly staff and parking was available on pay and display directly opposite. Big pub lots of room, also let dogs in

If you want the worst service and to spoken down to then this is the place to visit. The worst experience we have ever had by an older ‘lady’ with long blonde hair behind the till. Rude, obnoxious and told us she wouldn't serve us after I challenged on her why she thought it was ok to snap at my husband for daring to ask if they were serving jacket potato’s. “I’ve just told you were are only serving fish and chips. Oh sorry we were abit confused why you had a full menu of different items and were only serving fish and chips on a really busy sunny weekend. Even the man in front of us commented how rude she was by huffing at him for not having any change on him to round up the amount of change she would have to give him back. If you don’t like giving customer service or your job for that matter I suggest you don’t work on the front of house where the first impressions are appalling! Good luck with your business and treating the customer’s like disobedient children.
