We've dined and relaxed in the Pavilion cafe many times over the years and the quality of food and service has always been HQ. We're very aware that the main costs of running any eatery nowadays is very high, but pleased to say the owners have kept the quality of food etc to the same high standard, whilst keeping portions and prices reasonable too. Always a pleasure to see well behaved doggie visitors here too, and grateful to the cafe owners for keeping yappy dogs (and kids) under control, even if their owners cant. Nothing nicer on a summer's day than to sit in the ' cafe forecourt' with a great coffee and some tasty food

We have been regular customers for over a year and sometimes we will visit several times a week. We were initially attracted to the fact the cafe is “dog friendly” and the quality of the food even if the service is pretty slow. Today, we were asked to leave the cafe and eat our food outside (it was cold and wet) because our dog barked. Not constantly, but every time a dog walked past him. The staff know him there, and always make a fuss of him but it seems someone, we are guessing the owner, didn’t like our dog and the manager was sent out to ask us to leave. Poor chap was incredibly embarrassed. That’s ok, we can take our business elsewhere and obviously our friends and family will too. That’s our right. But to say the cafe is dog friendly, and then get upset when a dog barks is a bit ridiculous. Maybe the dog friendly bit is just a cheap marketing ploy? Either way, be warned you will be asked to leave if your dog doesn’t meet the criteria for the cafe.

Have been before but today's visit was disappointing. Reason being I asked if I could order from the children's menu, but was told No, even though I explained that I've had a major bowel Op and can only tackle small meals and I have to be careful as to what I eat. Still No! Other eateries are understanding and let me choose from the child's menu but not this one. Male server . Also I said I'd instead have the Cheese on toast but without the side salad etc and asked instead for a few crisps which was agreed on. When I received my food, the sourdough bread ( thought it would be ordinary white bread) was badly toasted as in burnt in part and no crisps! The reason for asking for the smaller meal was purely for medical reasons and Not because I was being mean with my money. My meal was 2 slices not even equal size of toast one smaller with scanty melted cheese on at £9 . Overpriced. So not a happy visit this time and that's disappointing.

Waited for a long time to get served although others been served before me in the end had to go to the till and ask for what I wanted . I ordered food and was waiting a long time I went to the desk to ask where my food was, with that the waitress asked the lady chef who then came out and was extremely rude to me saying how busy she was but not in a polite way!! Ithen left feeling pretty upset.I'm 75 yrs old and no one should be spoken to like this regardless of age . I will never go back again or any of my family.

Absolutely fabulous lunch. Chicken fillet burger cooked to perfection, crispy on the outside and tender and juicy inside. Hubbie had beef burher and said it was delicious. Dog had 2 sausages and no complaints there either!! Only 20 minute wait for very busy Friday which I think is good. Gorgeous coffee and lovely staff. 10/10

Stopped off here with my sister this morning and was pleasantly surprised. I have been to St Annes more times than I care to remember, but had never even realised this was here. Its a lovely old building, not tampered with which is lovely, the food was excellent, and all the staff, without exception, were friendly and efficient, even the ones not serving us,smiled back if we caught their eye,and having been in far too many places where the staff seem to see their customers as a nuisance and barely interact with you at all, this was a real treat. We shall look forward to visiting again.

Visited this cafe on a day trip. I went up to the counter to order tea for two and two small squares of cake. I was really taken aback when the girl serving said £12.80. The cake squares were £4.00 each so I declined to purchase 2 and only ordered 1. I paid £8.20 but on sitting down and checking my change I only has 80p but didn’t go back as I saw the waitress pointing at my husband and I laughing. She then came to our table to ask if the cake was o k. I used the ladies toilet and the toilet roll dispenser was empty and generally grubby. There was 5 staff on so maybe instead of making customers feel uncomfortable someone should be checking the toilets. The teapot was not very clean. I would never ever go to this cafe again and wouldn’t recommend.

Nice lunch, boys loved the quality of the burgers, children's meals excellent, venue and staff very pleasant. Love the artwork. Great location in a well maintained Ashton Park. However points lost as the table felt sticky though it had been wiped down (a 4 year old noticed this) - possibly a build up of detergent - the cutlery was similar, like it hadn't been rinsed properly - and the loos were very poor, badly maintained, flush didn't work, tissue everywhere and it really needed a deep clean. I know it was a busy day but Get it sorted and pick those points up again as we'd like to revisit!

Dog friendly indoor and outdoor Brunch trip - great food and service but there was a let down element… Amazing friendly attentive serving team. Prompt food and drink service and the food was great! Really nice and full of flavour. We had the Benedict’s- salmon, sausage and bacon options. All great. But sadly, the gents toilets are bad. Like really bad. Not clean. Very tired and worn and the toilet doesn’t flush. I had to wash my hands again after using the toilet door then open it with tissue. Such a shame as it’s the only thing that’s let the place down and would prevent me returning.

Arrived at 1.45pm and was greeted and given a table. Guy came to take the order at 1.50pm and I noticed a sign saying there was a wait for food up to 30 minutes. No problem thought we could sit and chat, had an appointment at 3.15 but thought even with a 30 minute wait still plenty of time. Order sandwich and panini so wouldn’t take long to eat anyway. It got to 2.20pm and the guy came over and asked if we would like any sauces with our food to which we replied no Thankyou. Bearing in mind we still didn’t have our food at this point. It got to 2.30pm so I approached the counter and asked how long our food would be and explained we had somewhere to be. The guy asked another member of staff who pointed at the up to 30 minute sign. At this point it was 40 minutes we had been waiting, he went away and came back at 2.35pm and said there was another order to go and then it was ours. We ended up paying for our drinks and leaving. Whilst we were in there we witnessed 2 young girls ask 3 times if their portion of chips were coming and they had ordered before us. A woman at another table asked for a burger and was told they were finished and then we saw burgers being served after she had chosen and got her meal. Seemed to be an abundance of staff but not much going on, kitchen staff standing chatting with front of house staff. We went there because it was recommended but we won’t be back.

We go to the Pavilion regularly and don't write a review very often but feel that we needed to write one again following our brunch on Wednesday this week. The sun was shining plus there was some sort of event in the park. there were only four front of house staff covering the inside and outside tables due to unforeseen staff absences. I think they were down on staff levels in the kitchen too. They were being honest with customers by managing expectations on the wait time for food and were taking orders, delivering food and taking payment with smiles on their faces and interest in the customers. I should also mention that this is a dog friendly place therefore there were many dogs around too for the staff to circumvent! The food was super - as always.

Visited here in April as I used to be a very frequent visitor going sometime up to 3 times per week. Although it was busy and outside there was no atmosphere. Placed our order and had to ask 3 times where it was after waiting for over an hour. I asked for drinks with the meal and told they couldn't do that I had to have them now as the person on the bar was busy needless to say we had 2 drinks each before meal eventually arrived Well one did, I waited for my friends but after 10 mins again I was told it will come when it's ready, so when it did I arrive mine was almost cold. Obviously whoever is now cooking has no idea how a meal ordering system works, if you get an order you do it all at once then start another. The food wasn't anything like it used to be. The menu is stale and dated they've taken a couple of items off and added a couple no specials anymore jus the same boring old food and even the quality of burgers have diminished since they started making their own. Choice of cakes is dire, scones weren't fresh and after lockdown you would think they would have had time to clean things down but the pot of hot water was so thick with dust you could write on it. The most expensive cafe and no where near the best. I will spend my money elsewhere in future.

We would have missed out if this was the case as this has been the best breakfast we have ever had in St Annes. We visited as a family of 2 adults and 1 child on a Sunday morning. We ordered 2 cooked breakfasts and egg on toast. Well it was delicious and huge! freshly cooked and not at all greasy. Bacon was thick, sausages were tasty and it was as accompanied by fresh tomatoes and mushrooms amongst other things. The beans were served in a separate pot which was brilliant. We even got 2 slices of toast each with plenty of butter. I wouldn’t normally write a review about a breakfast but I really enjoyed it that much that we’ve already said we’ll come again. It was great value for money as actually we are that full we haven’t needed lunch

We perched on a nearby wall and a member of staff came and told us in a rude manner that we couldn’t sit there and that it was his property! We moved and stood to watch the band who were playing. A couple nearby were in deckchairs and a member of staff came to tell them that they couldn’t sit there! Seems like staff believe they own the park!! Really disappointing experience. We went to buy a takeaway coffee elsewhere, came back to the park and drank it looking at empty tables outside the cafe - wondering if we’d next be told we weren’t allowed on the path! Such a shame.

Visited the cafe last Saturday, it having been a few years since I’d last been in. Several staff looked straight at us before anyone acknowledged us and took us to a table. Our order was taken quickly. We ordered two drinks and a slice of cake to share. The cake arrived first, and despite distinctly asking for a piece to share, it came on one plate with a single fork; we asked the waitress if she could bring another fork and she said yes, but then immediately went about doing other jobs meaning we did not get the second fork. It was then a full 20 minutes before our drinks (a coffee and a coke) arrived: coffee was nice, however the coke had a strange taste. Overall service was poor and the staff weren’t particularly friendly/welcoming; appreciate that they may have been busy however the cafe didn’t seem particularly full. Unfortunately won’t be going back any time soon.

Went today for lunch with friends who live in Lytham St Annes and had recommended it. So happy we did. All of us cleared our plates (rarely happens) and thoroughly enjoyed the meal. We had Eggs Benedict and it was delicious. It was bacon not ham and it was so much better. One of the best we have eaten. Eggs were perfectly cooked, better than we have had in some 5 star hotels anywhere! Our friend had the Lancashire version which had black pudding instead of bacon and they loved it. The staff were nice and friendly. Their service was impeccable. Beautiful cafe with indoor and outdoor tables (we sat inside due to the weather) and a lovely verandah. Totally followed the COVID rules with big distances between the tables, staff wearing masks. Everything wiped down, hand sanitisation in place yet felt the most back to normal setting we have felt for some time. A lovely experience, we will definitely return and highly recommend this little gem in a beautiful setting.

I did notice one of the customers had brought his dog inside, so nice to know that this is a dog friendly cafe.Atmosphere is very relaxed and comfortable. Will definitely be back again

We visited this cafe on a cold Monday morning and, surprisingly, it was half full. I had a full breakfast which was huge including two slices of toast- all of it hot and tasty. My only slightly negative comment is that it wasn't clear how to order as there weren't any menus on the tables.

We have eaten here before and took ourselves back to see if it was as good as we remembered. It certainly was as we went for lunch there twice such pleasant staff and the food is made fresh and very tasty. I tried the goats cheese panini with mushrooms and bacon it came served with a side dish of carmalised onions and salad so filling and enjoyable my husband had the chicken liver pate with bread and salad and he claimed it was superb. Thanks again

Called in for lunch, midweek and a sunny day, lovely to sit in the gardens. My Wife has allergies to certain foods and I therefore asked if she could have a fish finger sandwich, but “deconstructed” so that the bread is on one side and the meal is on the plate. The lady who took the order understood perfectly and when the meal arrived it was beautifully presented and my Wife was delighted, delighted with how it was presented and delighted with how it tasted.I was delighted because it was so nice that they went the extra mile and actually wanted to help customers. My smoked salmon and cream cheese wrap was also excellent and I absolutely recommend this establishment for both food and customer service.Thank you.

Lovely location amongst the well kept gardens. The cafe was chocced full due to it being a sunny day and the kite show however service was still e cellent and food quality great. I had the ham and cheese panini and my partner the prawn open sandwich, both splendid. The victoria sponge was very very nice and couldn't fault the service considering the conditions. Wouldn't hesitate to go back!

Food is good (nothing more) and the choice is good and a bit unusual. However the down side is the prices are way over the top for a posh cafe. Nice position in a park.

The cafe is situated in a beautiful peaceful park , away from the hustle and bustle of the main town centre. Plenty of seating with some outside under a covered terrace and in.Ample space to leave your bikes and safe enough to not need them chained up.Clean and tidy tables with staff welcoming and helpful. You order first and pay at the till, prices very reasonable. Two tea’s, toast with jam and bacon an mushroom on toast all just over £10.Tea was tasty, with sugar cubes, tea tastes better with cubed sugar !Bacon sandwich was lovely, bacon crispy but not dry. Only minor complaint was the toast was burnt, I wouldn’t have served it.Also the Tomato sauce wasn’t Heinz. Bitter and sour, why go cheap and ruin with the small details.Toast and jam was tasty, proper butter and good quality jam. Will definitely come back.

I visited this cafe with my 2 friends for lunch. We all had something different to eat and all enjoyed it very much. I had the Wiltshire ham panini with chips and my friends had an omelette and cheese and mushroom panini. The food was served quite quickly because it was busy and there is plenty of space to sit. Will certainly go back again and there is lots of choice on the menu to try something different.

We had breakfast here, nice surroundings, food is very expensive for a cafe, illustrated by the £1.10 additional cost for adding jam to your toast order, I nearly went to Home Bargains and bought 2 jars instead, which illustrates how much they are overcharging for this. The sausage sandwich was very tasty.

Not all tables busy, no queue yet cashier was rather curt. Food, open prawn sandwich was unappetising on arrival. Limp salad, no dressing, handful of prawns on Unbuttered bread. Remember when it first opened every attention to detail; now the food feels unloved and thrown out of the kitchen. Plus side my daughter enjoyed her posh fish fingers and the waitress was lovely.

Called in for a coffee, waited 10 minutes in the queue, only a few in front, when i finally got to the front was told 15 minute wait for drinks. I could understand if i’d asked for meals but 15 minute wait for coffees after waiting ten minutes already wasn’t acceptable. When i said i couldn’t wait that long, the man on the till said “perfect” in a sarcastic tone. I know they were very busy but most places can do better than that. More staff obviously needed on a busy sunday like today.

We were looking for a dog friendly cafe when a local lady recommended The Pavilion Cafe. What a find! The staff were very friendly, the food was great and the cafe was nice and clean. Our dogs were made very welcome and we will definitely return on our next visit to St Annes.

We have visited this cafe several times on our visits to St.Annes but this time thought we would book a table for Sunday lunch. As it was Remembrance Sunday we figured there was a chance it could be busy during the Commeration so we booked our table for a later lunch time. Arrived to find our table already reserved which was a nice touch I thought. Food was outstanding! Both myself and my husband opted for a traditional Sunday roast I had beef and hubby selected the pork. Both came with all the appropriate trimmings and everything was cooked to perfection! The meat was melt in your mouth so tender and tasty. Probably one little negative which for me would be the cost was slightly over what we would normally pay however that meat was worth every penny. Well done to the chef/manager and his team. As I have said previously have visited previously and this return visit did not disappoint! Looking forward to joining you again in December.

I've been here lots of times but the last 3 visits have been very disappointing. The service on all 3 visits could have been improved and we weren't asked if we wanted any sauces, etc. with our meals. Additionally, you had to really try to get the attention of the staff when you were ready for coffees, etc. they don't pay attention to your needs. I complained about my chicken caesar salad on the last visit, whilst there was lots of chicken, the salad had very little dressing and contained the end stem of the iceberg lettuce, a great big lump of what appeared to be unwashed stem. To be fair, they didn't charge me for it but it was somewhat embarrassing, as it was recommended by one of the friends I was dining with. The setting is lovely but I won't be going again, there are so many great cafes in St Annes I won't be wasting my money eating here.

Came here to have a breakfast and a meeting with a work colleague, I ordered a full breakfast and what turned up was one of the worst plates of food I’ve ever seen my bacon was so burnt it just cracked, the sausage look liked it had been deep fried to death and same with the mushrooms! Sent the whole meal back, just wish I had took a picture, I did get my money back and a free coffee!

My fiancee and I are over time trying every cafe in town for breakfast. The pavilion has excellent service and a vibrant interior. The breakfast is served promptly and is composed of a decent amount of top quality products all presented well. The only issue is the price for two with excellent coffee' s £19 If you don't mind spending the cash, then this is a top quality breakfast in a very large and nice venue.

Visited as a large group for a special birthday, dined in a private dining room which was lovely, waiters were efficient. I'm afraid it was the food that let Lytham house down, the food tasted lovely however we had to send several meals back as they were cold or undercooked . We did not want to upset the Birthday girl so several of us did not complain or say anything when food was cold, my beef wellington was tepid and my vegetables were cold, our sticky toffee puddings was cold and dry (like it had not been cooked long enough). Very disappointed 😞

A bit of a wait for food but had a nice bottle of wine to keep us going, very reasonably priced. Food was lovely, steak was great! Got the order spot on, steak was well done and salad was fresh. The chick n mix selection was plentiful and freshly cooked. A cheap and cheerful night out. Would recommend.
