We came her eon the Monday and enjoyed the atmosphere so much we have returned every day and will do until we return home on Sunday the beer is absolutely fantastic in a calm but happy environment It is what it is a lovely place to go to and enjoy local beers and real ciders so enjoy even if you want more exotic drinks ...... The staff are so helpful and supportive what's not to enjoy

Room was very nice and well appointed with everything seeming very new and clean. Service was excellent too - I was up too early for breakfast so was offered a to-go breakfast instead. And the location is perfect, save for the lack of free parking, but Bitterbeck car park is less than 2 minutes from the hotel front door.

Honestly my favourite restaurant in Cockermouth. Great service. Kind and pleasant waitress and delicious food every time. All for a reasonable price too. Can't fault it. Great atmosphere and a lovely evening meal out!

Found on Tripadvisor and pre booked ahead of our visit while holidaying in area. The food was lovely. All 3 starters and mains were very tasty and looked amazing. The Green Thai curry was really good. Lovely atmosphere definitely visit again.

Very disappointed with the meals me and my friend received when we recently went in for a meal. The news of it going down hill recently are certainly correct. Not as busy as it used to be, definitely not enough care in the food as there has been in previous visits. It certainly shows. We will definitely not be returning, what a shame.
