Good wholesome food, friendly and attentive service. The menu was varied yet simple and dishes reasonably priced. We would recommend to anyone looking for a good meal in Cockermouth.

A cosy Italian Restaurant over the bridge on the main street. I called here after a long driving day and had some very nice creamy mushroom pasta, unfortunately I couldn't taste the wine as I had to drive home, overall a vey good experience.

Fantastic service and food! It is a while since we have been but if anything food was even more amazing than the last time! We will certainly be back to visit again real soon! Would definitely recommend! !

Visited Portofinos on a wet Wednesday evening, the place was quiet but the welcome was pleasant. The food an the service was excellent and the prices not extortionate. Well worth booking at weekends as I suspect it gets busy.

My family booked a meal for 11 of us for our 50th wedding anniversary, while on holiday. It was all arranged by email and phone. I can't praise it enough, food was absolutely exquisite. Fabulous restaurant in so many ways - the friendly welcome, the attentive customer service, the delicious food, the amazing desserts and to top it off, the excellent value for money. A small, intimate restaurant that we visited twice during our two week stay in a village just a few miles away. Do give it a visit, but ensure you pre-book! Clearly very much in demand by both visitors to the Lake District and the local residents of this beautiful region. Cockermouth is such a delightful town - loved spending time here.

Él resultó ser justo y así ella lo llevó de vuelta sin comentarios desde nosotros y trajeron uno nuevo (sin demora, ya que era raro. ). La comida era excelente. La camarera tomó el costo de nuestras bebidas de la factura como compensación. Todo esto y no una queja de nosotros! Nos hicieron sentir muy bienvenidos a nuestra entrada al Bistro y sentado donde nos hubiera gustado. Que no estábamos muy hambrientos y entrante nos ofrecieron porciones de pasta para nuestra comida principal y para mayores los paladares no te puedo decir lo bonito que es no tener que volver a media comida principal con disculpas. La comida era maravillosamente preparado y probado de primera clase.

La semana pasada fuimos a Cockemouth para una comida de aniversario de boda. Dimos un paseo y encontré Portofinos. No puedo creer que no habíamos vimos antes - debe haber pasado que docenas de veces! La comida es excelente; un precio razonable; servicio excelente, buen ambiente. Sin duda volveremos y recomendar a mis amigos.

You cannot say the "product" is not good but there are few technical mistakes in processing or cooking it following the traditional italian recipes. The environment is in need of refurbishment. Too old fashion and not in line of modernity.Cost is not excessive for what you get and the only person is serving at the tables is very polite.

Celebramos nuestro aniversario de bodas aquí. Compartimos un plato de ajo champiñones estaban deliciosos. Tuve Pollo Cacciatore y mi esposa, ambos con un pollo Mella selección de tres verduras y patatas. Ambos eran de pollo en salsas suculenta pechuga muy sabroso. Luego acabados con pudin y chocolate fudge cake con helado tanto para morirse. Totalmente recomendado.

Entramos con la familia. Personal amable, cómodos asientos. Una variedad de aperitivos ordenados. El sqiud estaba pasada, entrante era cubierto en aceite. Encargué la Gambarini que era insípido y flotando en unos 100 ml de aceite. Mi mujer pidió el pollo con ñoquis, que era manera de salado. No volveremos pronto, a mal lugar tiene potencial, pero necesita un chef mejor.

Me pareció que la comida estaba muy bien preparado con una buena selección de opciones. Un gran bebedor de vino que tienden a ser exigente y las 25 libras por nuestro vino tinto era un poco alto para la calidad.Me van a viajar a la zona más en negocios de ahora en adelante y con ganas de volver.
