Good food and drink prices are a bit steep for what is offered, and water-downed alcoholic beverages need to be chilled better before serving.

The food was really good. We had chicken fried steak and the 16 oz ribeye. Both were delicious. Cool decor with nature pictures. Would definitely go again.

What a charming little place this is in Mena, we are so glad we found it! The bacon cheeseburger was absolutely huge and it was char-broiled and delicious. The catfish was lightly fried and oh so fresh, very yummy. Our server was very attentive too. We will definitely be back to try the steaks as they looked amazing.

I used to work here they served potatoes that had maggots on it. And there was meat that had been partially eaten by rats and they still served it. There’s roaches. The way they treat their employees is pathetic. I wouldn’t recommend eating there nor would I recommend working there.

Don’t go here. Nasty food and not clean. Zero stars.

Unsafe to eat the food there. Their kitchen practices are horrifying, no wonder people get food poisoning. I went one time and will never go back.

If you're from out of town please eat somewhere else. The food is completely unsafe to consume. When meat spoils they will mix in the rotten meat with the fresh meat. After rats ate into the meat they still fed it to people. Please be cautious and aware when eating here. And if you have an issue with the food the owners will completely deny it and refuse to reimburse or replace the food.

Appetizers were cold, had trouble cutting sirloin with a steak knife, food came late, and food had no flavor. Service was good but don’t recommend this place due to the food not being good.

I hate rotten food. Especially when they have no problem with roaches and mice eating your food first.

Food was overpriced. And the service took forever. Have heard nothing but bad things about how business is ran there.

Have eaten here twice now. Had the steak and shrimp the first time. Had the pulled pork the second time. The food was good. The waitresses were really nice and the service was fast. The portion size was really good too.

Main course was absolutely gorgeous couldn't fault it. My 2 grumbles were: The restaurant room was cold!!! The waffle pudding was very disappointing, on the menu it was advertised as a warm waffle with double choc ice cream and chocolate sauce. This was not the case it came with vanilla ice cream,also the waffle was very hard couldn't break it with a spoon in the end I used my fingers to break it up and it was covered in cinnamon flavoured sugar, definitely not the best!!! Certainly wouldn't order it again

Was pleasantly surprised of everything. Would not hesitate to eat here again if I go by there.

I ordered 8 oz sirloin (med to med well) with shrimp. Steak was bleeding and the toughest steak I’ve ever ate. Fried Shrimp tasted like the oil hadn’t been changed in a week. Baked potato and side salad were good. Could’ve knocked a brick wall down with Dinner roll. No butter for roll. Wife’s Rueben was ok. Onion rings were doughy on the inside. Never saw the waitress after food was served. Oh yeah, Modeló was cold! Wont eat there again.

Worst $80 experience I had on my trip. The service was terrible, it took over an hour to get my food, it took asking 3 waitresses and waiting 30 minutes just to get a knife to cut my steak, I told them at check out how bad my experience was and they offered nothing but, an “I’m sorry to hear that”. Tables around us were all having the same bad experience. I’d suggest finding somewhere else to eat in Mena.

Trendous meal. Perfect steaks . Not too expensive. Excellent service. The wsy that sides and a sauce is included is also welcomed.

They were super busy tonight, like packed. We only waited 10 minutes to be seated and almost immediately our waiter came to get our drinks. He was super helpful and uber polite. Fantastic service. Barely finished my delicious salad and our food was there. Food was delicious. Top notch burgers. Very fresh. Will be back next time we are in town. Definetly recommend eating here.

One of the best chicken fried steaks I have had. Our waitress Ashlee K was fantastic. We had a group of 7 and she did a great job.

Well I do believe I order the wrong thing. I had the 6 oz sirloin, with loaded mashed potatoes and a salad with ranch. I was not a huge fan of the texture of my steak. The flavor was good. I just would not order the steak again. The Reuben sandwich was the best thing at our table. It was really good! My daughter had the grilled shrimp. It had a great flavor. The chopped sirloin was quite tasty as well. We were all happy with our meals. We would eat here agin! My picture are not the best quality, I’m sorry.

This is one of the best ribeyes I've ever eaten , I had it blue with vegetables and a sensational slaw would definitely recommend. Resturant was only open from Wednesdays but worth the wait I have been back 3 times and stayed in the joining hotel which was great also.thanks to all the staff for welcoming me and providing an excellent service. One not to miss in cockermouth.

Our entire group was stuck on the toilet within 20 minutes of leaving this place. The brisket plate is very skimpy.

Our second visit here and even better than the last. We had all three courses and enjoyed every bite. I particularly enjoyed my fillet steak with peppercorn sauce and the Mac n cheese was delicious! The service here is just right.

We had a fantastic meal here (couldn’t resist all three courses!) The steak was the best I’d tasted and the tacos were tasty. The atmosphere here is relaxed and friendly and the service attentive without being invasive. Thanks for a very enjoyable evening.

I’ve been to many steak restaurants all over the world and this is one of the best Rib Eye Steaks I’ve ever tasted. I asked for Medium and it was perfect. Even the marbling was caramelised and cooked. The meat so tender it melted in your mouth. My wife had the fillet and was the same. 2 perfect steaks. I also had the sausages for a starter and they were lovely. Wished I had asked for a spoon to eat the sauce that was left. It was so tasty :)

I went with my church group. They had plenty of seating for us all. The waitress was great and would check on us . I had a Swiss bacon burger, and it was tasty 😋

Steaks were thin, full of fat, and no flavor. Sat us in high traffic area. Servers walking all over frantically. Was not fun 😕

Cumbrian hospitality and great food are on offer at blocks. Came down for food festival and did not have a booking. Blocks fitted us in for early sitting. Staff were brilliant and the food was on another level. We had starters and I had a fillet steak and wife had ribs large glass of wine and bottled water then shared a brownie pudding. All in was £90 for an amazing dinner. Left a tenner tip as service and food was superb.

We ate at the steak House having their Serloin and Fillet Steaks. They were incredibly well done and by that I mean tasty. The service was excellent and the food options were very well priced for what you got and excellent quality.

Extra large burgers! Go hungry or plan on taking home tomorrow's lunch. My iced tea glass was kept full. And that is important to me. I also judge service by the beverage. Empty cup says that you are not watching my table and usually means that you have too many tables. So I will happily return!

Excellent service. Outstanding food. Relaxed atmosphere. The staff were so friendly and accommodating. It was really nice to experience fine dining for a change with our dog as opposed to pub grub.

We arrived at Blocks without a booking and the staff found us a table. Our waitress was Jess, she was very pleasant and professional. Jess looked after us in an impeccable manner. Our food was uncomplicated, very well cooked and beautifully presented. This was our second visit and we will definitely return whilst on our next holiday in the area. Good steak and Mrs enjoyed her salmon, we sat there for half an hour after we finished our mains but nobody came back so we didn’t get to sample the cheese cake, got some Ben & Jerry’s on the way home!

My family and I were on our yearly vacation for the Mena Rod Run and we stopped in the Chopping Block to have dinner. We had a party of 15 and they easily were able to accomodate us. We had the absolute BEST server, Misty. She was phenomenal! She made sure we all had drinks at all times, she had a wonderful attitude, made us feel welcomed and like she was part of the family. She never once complained and was a pleasure to be around. The food was amazing; ribeye, fried pork chop, fish, everything was amazing. We will definitely be back and if you happen to stop in ask for Misty, you will not regret it. Thank you for such an enjoyable dinner. Here is a picture of us and Misty.

This place was average at best. Our go to for dinner while in Mena has always been the Branding Iron. However they recently closed which is an absolute bummer. So we thought we would give this place a try. With its long history, western decor and log cabin look and feel it immediately reminded me of the The Big Texan in Amarillo, Texas. But hold your horses, because this place isn’t even close to that place. Service was average. The first tale tell sign that things were not going the right way was when they brought my wife’s hot sides out a good 15-20 min before we got the food. On the plus they kept my drink full. Once we did receive our food everything looked fairly appetizing. However they had to replace my wife’s sides. Instead of bringing her fresh ones they just heated it up in the microwave and it looked disgusting. She enjoyed her catfish and shrimp. I ordered the Filet and backed potato. The backed potato was good. A little on the small side but that was okay. The Bacon wrapped Filet was a complete disappointment. Zero seasoning on the steak. It was wrapped in at least 5 pieces of the thinnest bacon I have ever seen and because of that it was flabby and the steak didn’t even seem to infuse any of that delicious bacon flavor. I found myself melting some butter over the steak and and some SP (Salt & Pepper). That made it so much better. As for being cooked right it was spot on at a medium-rare. So the big question is would I come back? Yes I would and I would get a burger. And hope that it’s seasoned correctly. Because they looked delicious. But I wouldn’t come back and get a steak, or potato soup.

Overall a good experience! It was a little pricey but you won’t leave hungry. The best part was the loaded mashed potatoes. The interior was rustic and really pretty. Not wheelchair accessible.

This is a wonderful homestyle diner with warm and enthusiastic service. The Chicken Fried Steak was hands down THE BEST I've ever had!!!! I recommend this place highly!!! The blonde daytime waitress is kind, efficient, and thoughtful.

The facility itself was clean and very nicely done. The food was average, though. They weren't very busy and we waited quite some time for our server, and again for our food once it was ordered. The prices were decent, but you get what you pay for. The mashed potatoes were either the silkiest smoothest potatoes I've ever had, or they were instant potatoes. I'm leaning towards the latter. The soup tasted canned, and the steak was way over salted. I ordered a burger for my toddler and they brought him chicken strips which ended up being pretty good. In fact, his chicken strips and fries were better than my steak and my wife's pork chops. Kinda a bummer because we drove two hours from Oklahoma on a friend's recommendation. Time for new friends it seems!

We simply could not rate this restaurant any higher!!! The nicest staff serving the most delicious steak on the planet! Brilliant service, brilliant value, could not fault it.

We liked that our large crowd could be upstairs without disturbing other guests. And we appreciated the chef making vegetarian meals for the vegetarians in our group. The pasta was delicious.
