The best restaurants in North West

The staff here were lovely and the place seemed clean and very welcoming for sit down diners. However, the take away I had from here last night was the worst Chinese I’ve had in a very long time. The prawn toast was ok but the spring rolls were very small. No flavour to either of them. The Char Sui pork was dry and tasteless, hardly any sauce, the egg fried rice hardly had any egg in and again just no flavour. I ordered the Barbeque ribs and they were literally the toughest thing I’ve ever eaten, it was clear they had been cooked and reheated because they were almost like plastic. I couldn’t even chew them enough to swallow. The vast majority of the food went in the bin. I really wanted to like this place as it had such good reviews and I love Chinese food, but after last night’s experience I won’t be coming again. A real waste of £40.

We went as a group with dogs it was busy and there was a lot of dogs.The barman came over and was extremely rude he came over in a rage saying the way through was blocked and unacceptable. He could have been polite about and not obnoxious and rude .I will be giving it a wide berth from now on he was an absolute bell end

We used to eat in Veeva weekly, but since the change in staff it hasn’t been the same. The menu isn’t as good, lack of variety on the specials board, just not the same. We had lunch there today and my husband’s quesadillas was very thinly filled, and the portion of skinny fries had reduced to a small bowl from a lovely big tub. Not good considering the price. You used to have to queue for a table but it was practically empty! I don’t think we will be back in a hurry. Also they don’t let dogs in!

Our favourite place. Always delicious food with friendly service. We go there again and again for food, kebab roll, chicken tikka, chips, rice & three, yummy always. Many choices for me as a vegetarian too.

Great place to eat for families, food is great and very well priced as is the brews.enjoy. still the nice friendly atmosphere, food is still reasonably priced.access good all on ground floor wcs all accessible for wheelchair users as well as mums with prams,there is Galloway's also in building with a small show room showing tools and other options for those of visual impaired,very positive place,

A lovely friendly hotel. This is our second stay here this year and we really love how the staff are so friendly and look happy working at the Lawrence. Breakfast was yummy. Dinner exactly what we needed and Kyle again shined. The welcome when we arrived was so lovely thank you all.

Awesome afternoon tea with friends. Loved the balance of hot and cold food - the hot meat pies were devine, as too the mini fish & chips and soup . Really loved the assortment of cakes, which were so tasty and refined. It felt so personal and regional, as opposed to the generic offerings that some places provide. Congrats on an exceptionally well done Afternoon Tea! It was my first visit, but I will return again soon with family in tow to experience again!

Dropped in for Breakfast on Sunday. The food and drinks were delicious and the service was excellent. All in all, a lovely experience.

Had a lovely evening here. Very diverse menu, covering different tastes. Had salads with soft boiled eggs for starters. Hubby's was brussel sprouts & tasted lovely. I had the beef onglet for main & Roast Cod for hubby. Absolutely gorgeous 😍 Then the trio of desserts for him & ice cream for me. Couldn't fault anything. The atmosphere was lovely. Service was unbelievable. All food came to the table quickly & with a smile. We had a bottle of New Zealand red, which was Lush. Would definitely come back & and recommend it to anyone. A really lovely evening.

Always Amazing food, lovely staff, large starter, Main & Pudding menu. Never been disappointed here so call in when your passing.

Love the atmosphere, staff are really knowledgeable and friendly, great place to have a drink with friends

Food arrived slightly late, not normally an issue since it was only 10 mins, but the fact that my loaded fries were stone cold means it did. Also got no jalapeños on the Swedish Meatball fries. Normally this place is a 5 all day but dropped the ball this time. Couldn't even complain because my Internet went down after I ordered and didn't come back up for 7 hours (obviously not the restaurant's fault)

Visited here in a group of four and was massively impressed. There is a very good menu selection, and each of the starters and main courses were excellent - very tasty and well prepared. The service was also very good and there was a really good atmosphere. Highly recommended.

The best in Liverpool! Worth the money for sure.
