Walking past this restaurant you would never guess the fantastic food and people who lie within. Me and my Mum left feeling full and delighted. Thank you.

I assumed for price of curry it would include rice, too pricey wont order again.

Seriously I will never order from here again, Paid £15 for 5 pieces of chicken no less than 1 inch in diameter, 4 sliced carrots and chef's special sauce which I can sweat out after a trial court. Talk about quantity, I could had a 3 course meal for this price.

Food was lovely, as always, but this time there were missing bits to our mixed starter. Never had that before, so will order again, as I understand errors happen.

Absolutely amazing, we went without pre booking and they managed to seat us, the staff are all amazing, friendly, jolly and the food is just wow! So much choice and every dish is beyond fresh and delicious. Highly recommended!

The food is good. However, the starters are in small portions. £6 for 3 finger-sized spring rolls...... Others are just great, good services and excellent atmosphere.

food is delicious, full of colour flavour and taste. hospitality is very good, doesn’t have service charge but i think they deserve a lot. feels like home tbh, also the atmosphere was as if you’re in Thailand, for the decorations and the background music. overall they deserve much more, should absolutely be well known.

Excellent food , will visit again, only down fall was we waited a while before someone came to take food order and no one came to ask if we wanted a drink soon after we arrived , couldn't even ask someone as no staff about then finally it would appear only 1 staff waiting on tables and it was full so they really need to improve on this especially on a busy weekend

Really nice food and service at Simply Thai. So many great dishes to choose from. Steamed seabass in soy sauce is probably our favourite.

Forget to take pictures before enjoying the food. Tom yum and green curry with prawn and rice must try. All starters are nice and tasty. But lack of Thai style drinks.

16th December booked a table for 4 people had confirmation. When we arrived there was no booking in my name showed the confirmation on my phone he’s reply was we have no tables come back in half an hour when we returned still no table had to wait another 15 minutes, no table mats no napkins no cutlery, had to wait for someone to take our drinks order, when we finally ordered our food the starters were cold, the food was on a scale of 1 to 10 was a 3at best. Don’t think we’ll be returning.

Come here on a regular basis as it's usually very good. Last Saturday (3.12.2023) the place was so cold it was difficult to enjoy any part of the evening. Not sure how the management did not sort it out as severa customers complained.

Food and service were really good. Crispy pork belly with vegetables was to die for, honestly!!! I am pretty picky for quality and taste and I absolutely loved that dish! Definitely coming back.

Usually very good but just had takeaway from here and won’t be going back. Weeping tiger was tough and poor quality meat with very little sauce, for £17 you would expect top quality. Chicken satay had changed and now very small portions and poor quality compared to what it was. Rice portions also reduced in size. Not impressed.

Have been here many times despite the ownership changing hands. Food is top quality, efficient polite and attentive service. Will continue to be our firm favourite destination

We have ordered from here before and the food was absolutely lovely, today portion sizes were really lacking for the money spent (almost same amount of food in £16 main compared to starter). Hopefully it’s just an odd day, will still be ordering again.

We were seated immediately and warmly, the food was fabulous, fragrant and delicious and very good value for money. The staff were attentive and we will be back again soon.

Meal was delicious but one pad Thai was missing. And the plastic bag was unsealed on delivery. The firm are going to refund, the money but that doesn’t give us a meal tonight

The food was small in quantity and poor in quality. I felt I've wasted my money. Totally disappointed.

The food was handed over to the delivery driver at 8:00 and it only came to my door at 9:35 which is shocking. Not fully the restaurant's fault but this is shocking service. I don't even think a star should be given for this but unfortunately i have to put a star to be able to submit my comment. The food quality is one star because i didn't even have chance to eat it.

Delivery time changed as it was reached but arrived on time after the adjustment, food was nice, spices were spot on but way way too much oil in everything. Less oil and maybe soft drink options on the menu to accompany the food.

Need bigger boxes or pack separately! Not the same as on the menu? Meat Portions are not big enough. Very good but needs improvement for the price.

Very Expensive for what it was... it was Nice, but overpriced. Was still hungry after 40 odd quid without a drink..

First time ordering. Ordered vegetable soup but had chicken in it, flavour was lovely though. Main course was chicken yet tiny pieces of beef in it, noodles soggy and no spicy flavour as stated. Just a bit disappointed as soup was delicious ( even though there was chicken in it)

Went here 8 months ago on a rugby weekend and as I said then it was THE WORST THAI FOOD I'D EVER HAD and saying I'd NEVER GO BACK. Been back in Wigan a few times since and never found a decent Thai restaurant so when I saw this one with a different name was a bit sceptical about it so emailed an enquiry and Iain mailed back saying it was under new owners and give them a chance as I wouldn't be disappointed. So glad we did, service was excellent but food was EXCEPTIONAL just back from 3 weeks in Thailand and the food was as good and better than some I had there. This restaurant will be first choice for a meal on our next and subsequent visits to the D.W.

We love this place, lots of choice and the food is so nice, staff are always accommodating and friendly, closest thing we can find to being in Thailand.

Awesome meal at Simply Thai last night! Tried some of the specials and wasn't disappointed! Soft Shell Crab and Papaya Salad were beautiful, as was the Pad Kra Pao with just the right amount of heat. 🌶️

Really tasty and still hot when delivered

We (two of us) opted for one of the meal deals. It arrived on time, just as quoted and the food quality was very good too, The main portions were perfect but only one rice, which was a little disappointing. The mixed starter had a lot of items but only one of each. This caused a domestic over who had what. Possibly less choice and 2 of each may be a better option?

4 of us went there on a Thursday night - chose the fixed menu A & B, which gave us a fabulous mix of starters & mains. All the food was fantastic - everything was eaten - probably the best Thai I have been to in many years - will definitely go back. Very handy as it is next to Wigans bus station.

Food was good - flavours were good, fast delivery, nothing wrong at all. Thank you , if I am ever in wigan again I will defo order to try other dishes. And I already recommended it to my friends x

The WORST FRIED RICE I HAVE EATEN ALL MY LIFE, I COULD HAVE MADE IT BETTER MYSELF. Was not expecting that from a thai restaurant, very disappointed

Food was tasty however not much chicken in my Pad Thai and meat was dry at the same time. No peanuts either.

Hate to say it but for £40 odd it was horrendous 75% of it’s gone in the bin, partner was sent the wrong curry with 3 pieces of beef in it definitely won’t be ordering again

Me and my partner went here for the first time tonight, amazing service start to finish, the guy serving us was so fun and personable, we both had Thai red curry, best around! Will definitely be going back!

3 of us went here on a rugby weekend in Wigan. I've ate Thai food all over the world and this was definitely the worst I've ever had. Iike pad kra pow and asked for it spicy, came bland with no spice. 1 ordered chicken Massaman curry, verdict, chicken was tough and chewy. 3rd order was a chicken Penang curry, chicken same and curry sauce bland.When we got the bill waitress asked if everything was good, we passed on the above comments. She shrugged and said next time ask for super spicy and have beef rather than chicken. No apologies.When I explained there wouldnt be a next time she couldn't understend why.There must be better Thai restaurants in the Wigan area which we will find on our next visit to Wigan, I suggest you do the same.

A gem of a place! The mixed starters were very tasty, each one of them had loads of flavour, mains were fab too, and my taste buds are still dancing away two hours on! Each an every one of the staff were super friendly, attentive and polite, decor lovely and nice authentic music, overall the experience was perfect 👌... and as you can see my partner fully enjoyed and was zoned in on that taste explosion going on.

Omg this place is an absolute taste explosion of the 3rd kind...loved it, and the staff were lovely and helpful. Will definitely be back.🙂

We've been here a few times now and every time we've been welcomed like old friends. EVERYTHING is great; service, menu choices, exceptional food and drinks and, if you're fortunate, a traditional dancer. All in all, a superb dining experience.

What a place! So attentive to you, the food is so fresh and flavorful. Great atmosphere too, I've been a few times and can't recommend enough. Look out for when they have events on too, they are brilliant.

What a lovely gem of a place can't recommend this highly enough. Lovely friendly service and excellent food. Lots of choice even on the set price early bird menu. They couldn't do enough for us and even went the extra mile with a cake and candle for my hubby's birthday. Will definitely return again and again.
