Very warm welcome. Superb drink choice and amazing quality. Unbelievable cakes.... I had the Jaffa cheesecake - OMG I'm in Heaven! Great atmosphere to relax, people watch, chat & read. Open light and spacious with tables not too close together. Spotlessly clean. Highest food hygiene rating certified which I'm really keen on. All round fantastic place that is deffo going to be my default go to place ❤️☕🍵🍰🥧🍴🥄

Called in on spec and what a lovely little gem.Modern,clean and lovely staff Chatted with owner who made us feel very welcome. We had a couple of coffees and sandwiches which where great value for money..Cakes available to! Highly recommend!!

Absolutely amazing little coffee bar. Mr Sean couldn't be more welcoming. We ended up here after a really long day, so pleased to have found this little gem! We had cakes, coffee and cocktails. Great atmosphere, lovely locals and good prices.

We have tried this coffee shop a few times and the cakes are to die for! They are lovely and the coffee is nice. The only let down for us is the atmosphere. If you’re not a regular you’re invisible. Make more effort with your new customers and we will return. The seating is also something we aren’t keen on in here - rows of seating and you can never get in the much sought after 2 comfy nice areas. I always feel you’re walking into someone’s front room and you shouldn’t be there when we walk in. We sadly won’t be returning due to this. As mentioned , cake and coffee is great so it’s worth a visit just for those! We just want a friendly welcoming and it’s in walking distance but we would rather get in the car and travel for a nicer experience .

We were looking for somewhere new locally to go for lunch, randomly chose The Lounge from the Trip Advisor list and it turned out to be a wonderful random choice! Extremely friendly welcome, really nice decor, great coffee and lovely sandwiches and baked potatoes. Only a small menu for food but it was all freshly prepared and very tasty. They do afternoon tea and a charcuterie board in the evenings, these need to be booked in advance but I can definitely see us going back to try them. I noticed when paying they do loose leaf speciality tea rather than tea bags which makes a lovely change. All in all a wonderful find, it's a bit out of the way but easy to find and well worth seeking out if you are nearby

Lovely catch up with friends and food was good.

We had intended to go to The Barn but when we arrived it was closed for a private event. How glad I am that it was. The Lounge has a lovely atmosphere and friendly staff with a sense of humour. We were visiting my parents and took my Mum for breakfast. She had scrambled eggs on toast which was a decent portion which she enjoyed. I had the cheese panini with salad (delicious) and my husband had pate on toast which he enjoyed. If we lived nearby this would be a regular place for us.

Fabulous food, hospitality and service. This is a hidden gem which I would certainly recommend a visit . Brilliant atmosphere and certainly quality food and drinks. Thanks very much and will be back soon Regards Mick and the family

New place, good atmosphere, good food, fast service

We came for a drink in the evening and were immediately greeted by the owner who sat and spoke to us and made us feel welcome. Great selection of beer and wine, along with their regular daytime items. We'll be making a habit of coming!

A superb licensed cafe ..very friendly staff and free parking adjacent to the East Lancashire Road at Lowton

Love this place and is perfect for us as it is only a short walk away. The atmosphere is great, and Sean and Penny are the perfect hosts, very chatty and friendly with nothing being too much trouble. Would definitely recommend going for lunch, a snack or a cake with a cup of tea or coffee. Then again, if you’re like us, pop in for a glass of wine or a beer (or three!)

We went to The Lounge for the first time today and WHAT A FIND!! My friend is coeliac and I follow a gluten free diet, as my daughter is also coeliac. When a GF afternoon tea was requested, Penny admitted she’d never done one before. This didn’t hold her back and she researched it carefully to ensure she provided us with a totally GF option. We were all really impressed - we were a party of 3 and this was to celebrate my friends 60th birthday - the choices she made and the care she took was obvious and we enjoyed the luxury of the experience. The food was delicious and I, personally, loved the atmosphere and spacious eating area. I hate feeling cramped in cafes and can honestly say I didn’t feel like leaving, as I was so comfortable and welcomed by both Penny and Sean - Jonathan quietly cleared our table and wasn’t in the least bit intrusive. I can’t wait to go back!! We’re planning another visit for my birthday AND Christmas!! Thank you for making a special birthday even MORE special - the extra touch of the birthday card was both thoughtful and unique.

Lived in lowton 15 yrs been wanting a lovely bar to open for a while,unfortunately this wasn't the case landlord rude and doesn't like kids!!

Well where do I start? We've been going to "The Lounge" for quite some time now and this coffee shop is simply put, “the best in the area by a country mile.” Step through the door and you get the warmest welcome by the friendliest staff that you can imagine. You're instantly into a warm inviting home from home atmosphere that has a real buzz and great vibe. The Lounge is not just clean, it really is immaculate and the interior has been finished and fitted out to exceptionally high standard. There's parking at the side and rear or you can just pull up outside and stroll in. Regardless what drink's we've had (and there is plenty of range to choose from) they have been prepared and served to the highest in very good quality "pre-warmed" crockery (obviously not warmed if you’re having a cold drink lol). All the food, sandwiches and snacks we have had are freshly made, again have been prepared to the highest standard and taste fantastic. Now the best bit if you have a sweet tooth like me........the selection, presentation and taste of the mouth-watering pastries, cakes, cheesecakes and other sweet treats is just incredible and being honest, I've tried most of them at this point. All that said, the very best thing about The Lounge is the owners. Penny & Sean (ladies first) know what people want and regardless if you have just popped in for a coffee, a snack and a cake or even a late night drink on a Saturday evening they and their staff deliver every time. It's a real pleasurable experience going into The Lounge, I truly cannot recommend it highly enough and wish The Lounge a fantastic future.

Reopened recently after long Covid break, and what a local bonus for us! Family run by Sean & team, with a great selection of snacks & drinks, served with a smile & a chat. Hopefully the recent addition of beers & wines, and some evening openings will work well as the nights draw in. Great place to treat yourself to coffee & cake (hopefully with more gluten free choices to come).

Nice cafe with a relaxed atmosphere. Would be lovely to spend time working or catching up with friends. Caramel latte was good! The salad was nice and fresh! The panini and cake(s) were however a little average.. I wouldn’t have either again. I’d have probably preferred soup (sold out) and a brownie. I’d normally leave less stars rating food alone but the staff and atmosphere saved it!

Nice friendly staff, they make lovely coffee, lunch and cakes. If you are nearby or passing, i would recommend calling in to The Lounge for coffee.

A wonderful little local treasure of a place! Just what Lowton needs! Lovely ambience, friendly staff, very well-made tasty food, delicious coffee and great prices. We look forwards to many more visits now we know about The Lounge. Highly recommended and pleased as punch that it’s so close to where we live!

First visit as friends moved nearby, what a great surprise, lovely coffee and cakes in good surroundings with a log burner to boot!! Glad we found it!!!

This is a lovely place to stop and relax and enjoy a bite or a good cup of coffee. The staff and atmosphere are friendly and the food is delicious. With excellent parking facilities it ticks all the boxes. I highly recommend.
