The best restaurants in Parkfield and Oxbridge Stockton-on-Tees North East

Went here on 21/05/25 for a meal, I’ve been lots of times before and so I took my friend singing the praises of this pub, well I wish I hadn’t bothered, I was embarrassed to say the least after bigging it up. The entrance lobby looked like it hadn’t seen a vacuum cleaner in days and inside the pub the carpets were the same. Not really giving you much confidence in eating there, if that’s the public areas what’s the places like that you can’t see i.e. the kitchen. The staff are lovely and the food basic but good for the price . Sort yourselves out managers otherwise you won’t have many returning customers( it was the quietest I’ve seen it, ever).

Supposedly a dog friendly cafe, it's a shame that doesn't apply to the staff, the woman in the cafe collecting the dirty trays is definitely not dog friendly or people friendly come to that she was very rude and in this day of being aware of mental health does not put it into practice at all, my daughter was going to sit with her dogs in the" correct area", however there were no CLEAN tables so she positioned herself and the dogs on their cover with their water bowl just outside the area while I got a coffee, however she was abruptly informed she couldn't sit there and the assistant pulled up the cover while the dogs were still sat on it and took it over to the dog area and put it on the floor and then cleared a table, totally unacceptable action against someone who suffers with anxiety, the prices of the food were ridiculous, £10 for a hot turkey sandwich!, so I settled for a Decaf cappuccino for myself but I think the assistant forgot to add the coffee because it tasted like a mug of hot milk and also a regular cappuccino for my daughter, however when I got to my daughter, eventually, both her and the dogs were so stressed because of the rudeness of the staff that we left the coffees and the items we had put into our trolley and left. NEEDLESS TO SAY WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING.

Girl on phone is so rude.the food was so cold I will never ever going to order here again. Waste of money and time.

We called in because it was a sunny day, we had our dog & the outside looked pretty. I wish we'd read the reviews. Couldn't find any menus, so just ordered 2 coffees & 2 peices of cake.. the coffee was cold. Waited a while before the cake turned up, we didn't get the cake we ordered, but just eat it, because it looked nice. How wrong would I be, it had a hard, thick topping on it, which was disgusting, even my partner wouldn't eat it. And he will literally eat anything!! The worst thing is, it cost £20. And there was a dog walking around the inside of the cafe & sat on a chair looking at the leftovers on a table. Grim.

1st online order,didn't turn up 2nd order missing items. Food lovely but staff miss items and delivery drivers are unreliable at times.

Ordered via the appt at 18:10 - expected delivery 19:10 - Called at 19:30, food still had not left the shop, informed next to leave. Did not arrive until 20:00. When it arrived it had items missing. I called and they were replaced quickly. Shocking delay for a Monday night. Poor customer service.
