I used to love this place, the food is good and the staff have always been and generally still are excellent with the exception of the new lady who is very unprofessional and rude and made me feel very uncomfortable when I went in recently. Being around while she spoke to staff and customers the way she did wasn't pleasant, and she clearly has no idea what she's doing. It's very chaotic in there recently, not at all the relaxing atmosphere I used to go in for. Given the rising costs I understand changes being made but putting up the price of milkshakes and cutting the quality is just cheeky, when you buy "speciality" you expect good quality.

We’ve visited here a few times. Very friendly service from the lady behind the counter (short hair). Welcomed us as soon as we walked in and helped us with our order. Had a lovely brownie and blonde which she warmed up to make it extra soft and warm! Coffee came super quick and was pipping hot. If each business was as welcoming as this one the world would be a better place. Coffee shops like this need the support from locals to keep doing a great job!

Visit this place twice a week and have always loved it, until lately! What has happened. Ordered a speciality milk shake the other day, having previously loved them and this one was diabolical. The woman serving us (very short dark haired) had no clue. I complained saying it had no taste and queried if it was a specialty one and she said it was but said she would make another, this one was no better. It was watery, no taste and certainly did not include the brymore ice cream, this was cheap. She then started to clean the floors around us and brought the advertising boards in from outside, making us feel uncomfortable, like she wanted us to leave, it was 15.30 and the shop does not close until 16.00! She is actually very rude and I have heard her being brusque in manner with the other staff. They are all absolutely lovely by the way. This lady, whoever she is, is spoiling it and cheapening a lovely coffee shop. Come on, sort it out or you will lose all your loyal customers

Bacon sandwich was brilliant. The latte’s were lovely too. But the chocolate milkshake was bland, thin and watery. The almond tart was £3.95 and frankly, not worth that price. Dry and lacking in taste. Confused service and difficult to order. Failed to charge for food. Failed to deliver food we had been charged for. A rather poor experience.

What on earth has happened to Lucy's? The last 2 visits have been so stressful, with staff making wrong drinks , not making the drinks and food orders wrong or actually poor quality ,customers walking out due to being ignored . I waited 30 mins for 2 take out sandwiches and drinks . The drinks were made 25 mins earlier, so were both cold when I went to drink them , both drinks were also the wrong drinks, but because there had been so many mistakes with other people's orders , I didn't want to add to this. My sandwiches were both dry, no mayo or butter on them , both BLTs & contained one chunk of tomato , not even a slice. Im hoping this might be sorted soon as it's such a shame . I'll give it a 3rd go and hope it's back to the usual standard of a couple of months ago .

Order food a table of 6 3 people were served finished meal that was ok, over 1 hour wait for rest. NO apology no Communication. Very Poor quality when what did arrive. Disappointing such a fab location and out door area. In answer to your reply to my review. maybe act on your reviews - employ a chef and teach your staff some customer service skills. acknowledgement or apology goes a long way leaving half a table with out food or communication it good! reading your reviews two weeks earlier the food standard was poor for Mother’s Day & still poor.

We stopped by for a late lunch mid-afternoon on a Sunday after our usual place was full. Most tables were reserved, but we got one quite easily. The barman who took our order was quite abrupt about the fact they had no chicken left and gave us ice in our drinks without asking. I had only just gotten back to the table when my food was brought out to me, where my partners arrived a few minutes later even though we had ordered together. The young lady that served was polite and friendly, though. The food was only lukewarm and very disappointing. The beef was tough, and the so-called tiny bit of stuffing was tasteless and hard. The roast potatoes weren't homemade they were frozen, flavourless, and rubbery. The carrots and green beans were undercooked and tasted raw. The Yorkshire puddings were a good size, looked homemade but tasted cold. It was as if the whole meal had been reheated in the microwave, and not even that was done properly. At £14.95 this dinner was certainly not worth a penny. With such awesome competition in the area from places like Anson Farm, this place really needs to up their game as it's no wonder that Anson Farm is always packed out and Manor House isn't. They need to pay more attention to detail, like bringing spoons out with their sauce pots, too. Overall, I will never be recommending this place to anyone or ever eating here again, and I suggest you do the same

Went for a lovely lunch with family. Was very easy to maneuver around with a pram and a disabled family member. Very good facilities and staff helped with the doors. Food and drinks were gorgeous. I had the chicken flatbread it was very tasty.

Really disappointed and disgusted with a staff member today. I work as a member of staff for a college which caters towards children with learning difficulties. Myself, two colleagues and two students were on a College sanctioned outing, where we decided to stop at Greg's for some refreshments . Once seated inside, having already purchased our drinks, one of the students requested a cookie but the queue was already quite long. To avoid the student having a meltdown in the middle of the store, I went up to the staff member at the till and tried to explain the situation, asking if I could quickly pay for a cookie. The member of staff (who I later found out was the manager), told me "you have to queue up" in a rather rude tone. I tried to apologise and explain the unique situation, however I was blatantly ignored. The lady who was being served at the time offered to purchase the cookie for the student (a very kind act i must emphasise), however the manager told her no and wouldn't accept the money. I went back to the student to try and explain that we'd have to wait to get the cookie, but the student was getting distressed, so I ended up going back to the till, and a younger staff member saw me waiting and offered to serve me. I am very grateful to this staff member, however disappointed in the manager. More than anything, her lack of acknowledgement or proper communication with me was the most disappointing. I understand that it was a delicate situation as there was a queue, however, the customers in the queue were fine with me going ahead of them as they could see the child was getting distressed, therefore the way the member of staff handled it was disappointing and completely inappropriate, specifically in the way she completely failed to acknowledge me as a customer, and out of spite, rejected another customers offer to pay for the cookie.
