Delhi Express in Stockton-on-Tees

Had two takeaways from here now, and oh my god! The Jalfrazi's are amazing! So tasty and hot! Fresh green chillies in it too if you want to take the heat up a notch (which I did 🔥🥵🤤😋😍) really cannot recommend this place enough! Loved it and will certainly be ordering again, and again and again! Real value for money and really quick delivery, even on a Saturday night.

Delicious- really enjoyed our meal! Husband said the Rogan Josh was a little spicer than he is used to but lovely flavours and my MIL said it was possibly the nicest Rogan Josh she has ever tasted. I loved my Korma also. Will definitely order from here again- delivered in thirty minutes from order which was really quick!

Decent curry and great delivery from Jamal; he was polite and quick. Had an issue with the wrong item and they sorted it very quickly and satisfactorily. We’re staying in the area for work and would certainly order again if we’re up here again.

Usually lovely here but last night they sent us meat samosas instead of vegetable ones, my husbands vegetarian so couldn't eat them and they were specifically ordered for him, this has happened in the past and we let it go because we genuinely like this place but they've done it again! The Naans were also really burnt and black on the bottom. It's not cheap either cost almost £50 for what we got and it just wasn't the usual standard.

Just ordered a meal from this takeaway and what a complete waste of money it was. I ordered a tandoori mixed grill which was advertised as being tender, it was anything but, it was completely inedible and totally burnt. I will never order from here again and I urge everyone else to do the same

Worst Butter Chicken I ever had and the restaurant doesn’t agree but instead they says they have different styles and recipes to cook. They add sugar than spices in the main course.

Never had a bad meal. Always red hot and pretty prompt wether collection or delivery. As good as if not better than some of the better known Indian restaurants in the area

Well...what can I say about Delhi express? It used to be awsome about 5-6 years ago. Things however have gone down hill drastically. The curries are nasty. And the last order I had from them...well all of the starters came without salad despite ordering and requesting through the app. The food was cold, the chicken samosa was tasteless and there was a piece of bone in the chicken tikka. The mixed kebab was okay and so were the onion bhaji......but all cold.....also the food turned up 1/2 an hour late despite us ordering at 4pm....oh well, lesson learned.

Been there twice,first time I order a chicken korma wasn't bad. The second time I ordered a butter chicken & it tasted exactly the same only difference was that the sauce was thinner. Not worth the price ,won't be going there again.(shame).

Wow , all I ordered was a tikka nan bread , which is basically just bread, I ordered chips which are cold and garlic sauce which doesn’t exist but they’ll take the money for it , never again !

Ordered at 20:14 , website said delivery would be 71 minutes ( 21:25 ) eventually arrived at 22:05 ( 30 mins late ) lukewarm and with no explanation or apology. Gave feedback on website via confirmation email that is sent when order is place and no response from takeaway. Will not be ordering from here again.

Looking for a different takeaway to use having used Delhi express for years Bhajis just no longer fesh. Using more oil in the cooking now. Quality has definately slipped

Wow! Dunno if they've just upped their game or coz it was quiet, went there last night (a Tuesday) absolutely ruddy lush. I'm not just saying it or owt, honest, it was lush. Everything..the garlic keema naan, the lovely pilau rice, the chicken vindaloo, the garlic mushrooms, honest, bloody lush. Got enough easily to do to meals out of as well..appy days!

Use these quite often for delivery. Good menu.

Waited 3 hours for food didn't turn up phones 3 times, they tried to tell me they had been to house my ring door bell tells me different now £25 out of pocket

Have used many times before and only once had the same bad experience as this. Ordered for delivery a main course with portions of boiled rice and chips and was told it would be 1 hour 10 minutes, but great it came in 30 minutes. So far good, opened food up and main course plentiful and good. Instead of boiled rice it was vegetable and both this and the chips were stone cold which I phoned to tell them so. According to the person I spoke to this was impossible but they would send out portions of HOT boiled rice and chip, This was on Friday evening, it's now Tuesday morning and still waiting.

Not the cheapest but certainly the best flavours locally. The set menu for veggies is great. But the mixed starters are divine the onion bhaji so yummy.

Use this place nearly every week. Just spent £26 and put it in the bin. Bland and tasteless. Won't be using this place again.

Always happy with the food from here, the chicken tikka masala is on point and the bhunas / baltis are perfect portions with flavour and have never disappointed. The naan Is possibly the best iv had.

I have used this takeaway many times and the food has always been good with plenty of meat in the curries. I always collect so cannot comment on deliveries. Unfortunately, in the last month prices have increased and they have stopped giving free onion bhajis with meals over £15. I now need to look elsewhere.

Great vegetarian options. We have the vegetable Rogan Josh and Saag Paneer. Food is always prepared fresh and quickly. We drive all the way from Billingham to use this.place.

Furious! Ordered 2 curry’s and a rice, they didn’t deliver the rice or poppadoms that we paid for and told me to pick it up myself! I now have 2 curry’s and nothing to go with it! Very disappointed!

There are plenty of good Indian takeouts to choose from on Teesside and I happened to be in the vicinity again on Saturday.Now previously I left a bad review as it was a total disaster, but this time I can't pick fault. Valentines night 2017.....just had our take away from dehli express. Fantastic. Very quick delivery. Food was sooo tasty and hot too. We were very pleased and will deffo be using again. Staff were polite and friendly. Cannot fault in any way...thanks guys...5 star rating from us !!

So disappointed, been looking forward to our Indian take away all week for my boyfriends birthday. He's travelled all the way from Leeds to get it from our fav place. Got take away home and the lid of our chicken korma was flattened and had exploded everywhere due to the over packing of the bag 😩 When rang the take away the girl advised well the lid was put on correctly and must have been your driving! So sad as this is our fav take away and regularly spend £30/£35 to be let down by such rubbish customer service & left without one of our fav dishes 😔

Great food, they have a massive selection of curries and will make things to your liking if you ask them. Parathas are amazing and a must have everytime! Staff are friendly and we're regulars there!

El cordero no era cordero (carne duros). cuando llamamos para pedir artículos que faltaban nos dijeron que donde ocupados para rectificar. Hemos usado varias veces antes sin problemas, pero no será con ellos de nuevo.

One of the worst take aways I've ever had. Poppadoms were stale, curry tasted like vinegar. I won't be using this place again.

Ordered takeaway garlic chicken tikka was very dry cheesy garic naan like chewing on rubber same as chapatti and poppadoms taste of fat. Lesson learned never again

Great food, cooked well, that arrived on time and was piping hot. Can't ask for anything more really! Beautiful breads are a bonus. Highly recommended and certainly better quality than a lot of the sit down Indian restaurants in the area.

Waited 1 & 3/4 hrs to be delivered putrid offerings. My prawn puri was drenched with lemon juice couldn't taste prawns, insipid rice, watery curry sauce and half cooked chapatis. Friends recommend it to us shame their taste buds are not working correctly 1st and last time we will choose this takeaway it's an insult to Indian cuisine

Usually good takeaway but tonight it really wasn't over hour n half for delivery, popadoms soft, bahjis cold n hard, prawns like rubber bullets, the wrap was cold n soggy as were the chips really disappointed this time we always use this Indian but maybe not no more sad to say.
