Everything about this restaurant is wonderful. The service is incredible and all are so friendly and welcoming and is the main reason we always return. The food is always lovely too - we have had a variety of things from the menu and everything is always really great. From our first visit we felt so welcome and there are always other regular customers when we gowhich makes a lovely atmosphere.

First visit didn’t disappoint , food delicious , hot and beautifully cooked . Served well and each course just looked appetizing and up to expectations not one bad thing to say . The host was friendly and accommodating we misread the menu and when the food arrived it had mushrooms which my wife doesn’t like and with no bother or fuss the host immediately offered to make another one that doesn’t happen very often especially as it was our fault. The portions are just right try the patasas bravas amazing. Also the ice cream and panacota were delicious.

This restaurant is just like being in Italy. The owners are just lovely it’s a real family affair. It was my birthday and because of Covid and only allowing 6 people I found I was going to lots of different restaurants and this one was certainly up there with the best. Meals are very reasonably priced mainly pasta one beef dish one fish. All of us loved our meals and the nice touch of crackers pesto and omelette ( type thing !) whilst looking at the menu. This is somewhere we will be returning to. It is small so best to book. Thank you again for a lovely evening.

Really couldn’t ask for a better atmosphere, or place to eat. I take my children often (3, 5 & 8) and they refer to the cafe as ‘the nice man cafe with the BEST omelette ever!) and that says it all really. For the kids to recognise the level of commitment to making customers feel so welcome, makes it a great place. Honestly you couldn’t get better hosts, a more welcoming group of staff or yummier food. We love it here!

My daughter and I found La Bella Luna while searching for somewhere to eat in Cheam. We hadn’t booked, but they were able to fit us in. We had a starter each. I have avocado with prawn, my daughter had egg and spinach crostini. Mine was a very average prawn salad, made with frozen prawns. It wasn’t bad as such, but there was nothing special about it. My daughters tasted ok, but the bread had long since ceased to be crunchy or toasted, and had become a mush. Also her egg was uncooked. These arrived in a reasonable timeframe after being seated. About 20 minutes or so. I had ordered spaghetti carbonara for a main, my daughter had ordered a vegetarian ortolana dish. The main courses took over an hour to come out. During this time we were not reassured that our food hadn’t been forgotten, and no attempt was made to ask us if we wanted more drinks. When our food finally arrived it was actually very good. I very much enjoyed my carbonara, and my daughter’s dish was good. My main gripe was with the time it all took. There were people who obviously visited regularly who arrived after us, but were served before us. The restaurant obviously looks after its regulars. That’s fine, and good business, but it is not the way to obtain new regulars. We sat down at about 1920, ate a two course meal, and paid our bill at 21:17. I fully appreciate that good food should not be rushed, and I don’t like being rushed, but this was taking it to extremes. We considered asking for the bill and leaving, but don’t know the area and would have had to find somewhere else. Asking if customers want more drinks is nothing more than common courtesy, and makes good business sense. It is called upselling. I also don’t appreciate being told that a 10% service charge is being added to my bill. I am a very generous tipper, and usually leave 15-20%. I do how were want that decision to be mine. It is not my job to pay a restaurants waiting staff. It is my choice to reward good service. I do not feel that the service merited a tip. The service was exceptionally slow, the food was ok to good depending on course, and the restaurant is extremely noisy. (Some soft furnishings will cure that…) My daughter actually sat through the meal with noise cancelling earphones in to drown out the noise. Would I return. Unlikely, but if I did, I would plan to spend the entire evening and bring a book. I might even order three drinks when I sit down to cater for the fact I don’t know when I might get another.

We pop into this pub because its a common meeting point between our group. Not because it’s a good pub but just because its convenient place to meet and go onto better places. But in the last couple of weeks the atmosphere has changed for the better and we’ve found ourselves having more than a single round before we move on and its down to the staff being more chatty and friendly. We spoke to one of the staff and said where’s that horrible nasty person in charge and apparently, he’s on holiday. So this explains why everyone is happy. On Saturday, instead of meeting there for one drink and then moving on, we stayed there all night, lots of drinks and food. When a round of drinks is nearly £60 and we must have had 8 rounds they did quite nicely out of us and they wouldn’t have gotten that if the manager was about chasing the staff and being abusive toward everyone. So, the manager needs to go on holiday more often, the pub is a happier place when hes not about and maybe if our bar bill is anything to go by then more profitable too.

We always enjoyed visiting The Surrey King whilst living nearby. However, we have since moved away but when we came back to Worcester Park to visit friends, we made sure we returned here for our lunch... The newly refurbished interior looked great and we could not have asked for a warmer welcome from the owners.

It offers everything you could wish for from a cafe. Delicious food with good portions, very friendly staff and a cosy feel to the place. All of this at very reasonable prices. Highly recommend a visit, which I'm sure will be the first of many.
