Sainsburys is massive but not a very good one.

Just as you'd expect from a supermarket

Well, I knew very well that going to a giant superstore, any superstore, so close to Christmas was a mistake. It's nothing that the staff on the ground have any control over, but the entire experience of offensively loud Christmas music, shoppers grabbing at Terry's Chocolate Oranges, foaming at the mouth with festive rage, I could feel my mistake immediately. Even my trolley was in on the conspiracy, wobbly wheels and all. No nectar cards available, have to download the app. No signal, have to loiter near the entrance. Just agony. So why five stars? Well, enter Val. At the tills, whilst waiting at the conveyor belt, I heard a beautiful sound. Is it a chorus of angels? Is it a group of carol singers? No - it's Val, Cheam Sainsburys' own Christmas miracle. She was so cheerful, so friendly, so funny, the entire mood of the tills area changed. Shoppers were instantly filled with Christmas cheer, the gloomy atmosphere having disappeared completely. Thank you Val, and Merry Christmas, you bright, shining star you.

No problems getting all I wanted.

Great supermarket with lovely produce. It's good for both your weekly family shopping as well as quick visits.. It's nice that they started selling loose fruit and veg not wrapped in plastic. I wish there would me more of these!

Sainsbury is really a good supermarket。

It's a shop I'm afraid it gets worse i can only advise using Waitrose but then this store has nothing to be proud about either

Nothing special or untoward to report. Got what I wanted and happy. The upside is the Starbucks adjacent to the store. It's nice to have a cup of coffee after picking up weekly groceries.

Great produce and some great products plenty of parking. But always check on how long you have in the car park.

Good variety of groceries and home items. Fruit is much better compared to other stores. Been shopping at sainsbury forever and will continue to do so.

Good store, but one of the girls in the petrol station kiosk lacks courtesy and has no customer service skills.

Sainsbury's North Cheam needs to get more scanners. What is the point of offering a service but not to full capacity? Unfortunately, there were very frustrated shoppers around... 🙈

A super store / grocery store in North Cheam

Good selection of clothes, toys, homewear and groceries. Very helpful and friendly staff, and plenty of car park space.

Sainsbury's is a good place to shop. Not the cheapest mind, but easy.

Out of all the big supermarkets in the wider area, hands down the best bakery section, bread is spot on, and I like bread me. All the staff are friendly and helpful and polite....

OK shopping generally have what we need

Dave, Michele and Matt need training on how to treat customers. They are so rude and very intimidating. I regret shopping in Sainsbury's this morning.

Don't like stores this large one only shop here after dropping grandsons off at Explore Learning

Always very limited on stuff. It is expensive as everything is in the uk.

I only go here at times I know it's easier to shop but at those times, it's generally a great place to shop.

It sells food and everyday stuff

Do not go here if you have an assistance dog or a disability as you will be treated like a second class citizen and called a liar. Spend your money elsewhere

Been Sainsbury's shopper now for a year, much better staff, better deals and cleaner than my previous supermarkets

Que at self service check out for 3 mins then directed to scanner. Completed transactions go to pay, cash not accepted at this scanner. No sign stating this. Not great for customers

Nightmare hardly any tills open as per usual Quedgeley 10 minutes at kiosk get to front of queue only to be told I have to wait will she deals with a woman problem this happens to open in a shop rin by people who look like they have just left school

Items easy to find. Plenty of parking, staff friendly and helpful.

You can use nectar card lots of special offer. Huge car parking space. I was happy shopping time.

Awful design - the escalators take you up from the car park to the wrong end meaning you've got to walk the length of the place just to get in. One lift that's always packed. Ridiculous place

Things have gone downhill with shelves hardly fully stocked and the quality of fruits to me have not been the best whilst prices have increased ridiculous Main shop no way a few specific items or a quick run out the house then yeah

The worse customer service I have ever had to deal with. Rude. The staff were too busy trying to leave the store earlier than their jobs. And normally when that happens things go wrong. And when things go wrong. People become agitated. So the staff decided to become agitated with us when all we wanted to do was check out on their faulty machines that they tried to close early so they could leave as soon as possible.

I would like to further comment on a review left here by a Mr Avni Thirunathan about his experience at this store. I was the customer behind him, his wife and his daughter and witnessed the whole thing, I completely disagree with what he has said. The employee by the name of ‘Jan’ was by no means rude or hostile with him. He had about 40 items in which around 30 needed a rescan so Jan was explaining it would be easier to do a full rescan, not once was she rude to him, she was explaining what needed to be done at the checkout. He was in fact the one who was rude, he was speaking in his mother tongue to his family and laughing at her, it was very clear they was talking about her and not being very nice, so she politely asked that he stopped and that he wouldn’t be rude like that. He himself was an employee of Sainsbury as he had a staff discount card so to behave like that then leave a negative review saying she was rude is unfair. In the few times I have been to this store I have had great help from staff including Jan who on two occasions has gone above and beyond to help me.

This store used to excellent,sparkling clean and well organised.Now rude stuff who refuse to help at all,clue less store manager who doesn’t know how to speak to people.The store is quiet dirty too,floors are sticky,and “muddy” but the entrance all the time.We used to only shop here years ago until 2022.Since down it has even gone down more.Shame,used to love this place.

A very good Sainsbury’s experience and good shopping selection with a decent range of clothes and gifts. Handy store and never had any trouble parking here in my 12 years of visiting.

Amazing new concept of sainsbury. Best one I've been to. Fresh as a daisy. Nicely done, all fridges has doors now, feeling new, very new. No other sainsburys like it. Love it. Well done.

Free parking mega store in house pharmacy and Argos very convenient

Just noticed I have a Euro Car Parks parking ticket after parking in a marked bay in Sainsbury's car park in North Cheam. Will be down there tommorow to speak to the manager of Sainsbury's. And will keep you posted on what is going on here....was parked for about 15 minutes!

Having an employee actively treating customers like they are inferior and assuming they lack intelligence is not something I had expected from this establishment. This quite frankly, hostile, demeanour was shown well before any issue arose so we already were feeling uncomfortable. The employee, by the name of Jan, then preceded to tell us “not to be rude” when we had merely pointed out a mistake she had made in her services (falsely reading the scanner and informing us that we needed an entire rescan when in reality we only needed to do a couple of items). I do have to note that not all the employees of this establishment are so impolite, her colleague who came an assisted us midway was respectful despite Jan making an effort to tell him how “rude” we were in the face of her passive aggressiveness. Hope you can grow and learn from this Jan 👍🏽

Good supermarket with plenty of free parking. Prices are generally OK, but it's always wise to check prices against the competition because there's an Aldi, Asda, Tesco, and Waitrose, nearby. The SMART shopping app is good if you're only buying a few things, as you can avoid the checkout queues. However, don't use Smart Checkout for a large shop. Moree than once, we've used it for our main shop, and it took longer because they wanted to check 14 different items that we'd already packed. Then, to make matters worse, we had to call over the attendant a second time to confirm our age! It took longer doing it ourselves than queuing up and going through a normal checkout! My advice is don't bother with the SMART app if you're likely to spend over £60.

My local, nice staff, can normally get what I need. Sometimes get some bargains. Handy Argos there too.

Got what I needed, only issue I have is the smart shop checkout seems to be regularly not working these days. So the self scan checkouts get very busy with all the smart shop customers too.

Clean tidy good access, by Escalator or lift if you have a baby in a pram, parking on the ground floor enough spaces for at 300 hundred cars while shopping the supermarket its self, is very light and airy you never feel crowded in this shop as this shop has loads of space in the iles, this shop stocks all the usual things a Sainsbury would stock clothing,electrical,computing beside food there is also disabled toilets available 😀 also public toilets 🚻 news paper stand at the top of the Escalators near the help desk and foreign money desk.

It took me a while to get out of the store because I was mistaken for a thief. Even though there was a problem with the store, there was no apology.

Just used the new EV charger and I was really impressed how easy it was to use and fast too.

Good choice of products at reasonable prices (cheaper that you imagine) with amazing staff, not 5 stars because the checkouts are nearly all self service.

The shopping was mostly fine, other than one item being overcharged, but there was a safety hazard at the North Cheam store, as a corrosive substance splashed on me at the store. Although I have now washed it out, I have been unable to alert store staff about this even though it is quite urgent, since Sainsbury's helpline automated service is totally useless.

Guy in the petrol station didn’t say a word to me during the whole transaction of paying for my fuel. Very ignorant I thought. Obviously he doesn’t like the job.

Just a short visit, but seems like a cool spot with all the essential groceries,

I don't go there for shopping. It's my Starbucks coffee spot. They use to have free electric charging station which is now replaced by 150kw fast charging.. It's like from going to extreme.. My car even though recent purchase won't even pull that much power hence it's a unnecessary cost.. Don't know why they introduced a new glass barrier in the entrance it's nothing but an unnecessary add on

There was a guy named Manish he was using abusing word to me and I don't know why when I was trying to talk him nicely he started ignoring me

Worst experience 👎🏻 there was a guy on till Named Manish. He was such a disrespectful man, no manners to talk to customers and he used abusive words while scanning my stuff even he used some disrespectful words to my home country. Really very bad experience.

Pretty frustrating supermarket experience. Not enough tills open. Self scan is slow. More expensive than where we normally shop.

There is a shortage of seats. Could be reorganised to have a few more tables. Looking quite tired now, could do with redecorating. Arrived mid afternoon, place was really grubby - all the tables had uncollected cups. Not a pleasant place. We there 20 minutes and did clear some tables of crockery but none wiped. There were a number of laptop users just blocking tables.

I did my Christmas shopping at Sainsbury's and I got everything for our Christmas celebrations.

They’ve got rid of loads of manned checkouts and now most of it is self service. It’s made the queues ridiculous people are very frustrated. Sometimes the machines are out of order and sometimes you have to wait an age for staff to come over and verify age or help with a problem. Really disappointing

Always has what I want, staff friendly, knowledgeable and very helpful.

Terrible store...The managers have no clue on stock control... so many times the shelves are empty...I go to the local ALDI and Tesco on the A217 now...sort it out guys

It's really slow, one staff member 2 staff members at the tills, but they had a lot of customers waiting. Sainsburys have lost their care!!

Consistently out of own brand dog food, not just this store I may add. The 6 packs readily available but not 12 packs obviously at a inflated cost. Manager sent me to North Cheam where apparently had stock to discover they had no stick either. The on line stock locater is rubbish and when you order on line you still don't get what you ordered. Staff at all branches give the same response "just how it is" Very disappointing. Decided to move to other Supermarket where purchasing items is not suc a stressful experience.
