Colombo Kitchen - Hopper and Kottu Bar in Sutton

The mutton Labrias was far too spicy and was surprised that the restaurant was quite dim - very strange! I have tasted better Sri Lankan dishes - sorry!

Our second visit here to celebrate a family birthday, having had such a wonderful time originally. The food is seriously delicious, well spiced (but not so much to blast your buds off) ad it's very encouraging to see that most other diners are Sri Lankans, how's that for an endorsement.

This was a home delivery with tasty mains but the sides are way overpriced and we wouldn’t order again. £10 for a small portion of devilled potatos is ridiculous. The egg roti was dry and really not very nice. We had Negombo black pork curry and Ceylon chicken curry - tasty but very greasy. The pictures say it all really.

Firstly the food is quality, well presented and very tasty. My only moan would be that the main dish was a bit on the small side for the money. Also apart from the main waiter the rest of the staff were a little on the slow side. I would go back in the future though.

Visited Colombo Kitchen in Worcester Park with my husband last Saturday. Warmly welcomed, the restaurant offered an extensive Sri Lankan menu. We tried Chicken Lumprise, Chicken and Seafood Kottu, Egg Hoppers, Prawn Rolls, and Watalappan. The authentic flavors transported us to Sri Lanka. My favorite was the Chicken Lumprise, while my husband loved the Prawn Rolls. Prices were reasonable, enhancing our delightful experience. I would recommend them to have a buffet at weekends if possible. Highly recommend for a taste of Sri Lanka!

My partner & I try to visit Colombo Kitchen as often as possible as it’s a fantastic dining experience. It’s a gem of a restaurant. The food is mouth wateringly delicious & spicy. The service is polite & friendly (it’s a family run establishment). The vibe is chilled as everyone is welcome: families with young children, couples and groups celebrating special occasions. Yesterday evening we pre-booked a table for an early dinner at 6pm, by 7:30pm the restaurant was full. This is impressive considering it was the first Saturday evening in January, which traditionally can be a quiet period in the hospitality industry. Keep up the good work! Thank you for yet another lovely evening. We will obviously return. Highly recommended.

Once again I visited Colombo restaurant and once again everything was out of this world. Amazing okra, spicy chicken , aubergine and if course- hoppers. Staff is so friendly and so polite. The whole restaurant is spotless. I can’t tell you how excited I am to go there again over Christmas break . I can eat this food every day.

I would have given this 5 stars but the thievery on drinks is absolutely disgusting. Bad points: -£5+ for a bottle of sparkling water -£6.50+ for a tiny glass of mango lassi. Taste was nice though -Fish dish in a sauce was awful and had a funky taste -Kotta was not to my liking although other people like it. Just didnt loo appealing and a mush -Shrimp dish was mediocre and dry. Portions are good -Curries are a bit expensive for the location Good points: -Lots of halal options -The hoppers are nice and well priced The biryani was great. They even had a boiled egg which is not common for Pakistani biryani. -Nice décor -Staff are nice although seemed very rushed -Nice food station to watch how some of the food is made

So rereshing to find a clean, happy and amazingly delicious restaurant. This place has been recommended highly and it did not disappoint at all. From the starters to the dessert everythinng was so tasty and so moreish that if i had 2 bellies i would eaten more !!! The service was excellent without being obtrusive. I think we may see this place in the Michelin Guide if it keeps up the standards we saw when we went.

We were a group of 4 adults and 2 kids that visited for lunch on a Sunday. The place wasn’t that busy at the time. Our group ordered the mutton rolls, fish pattis, hot butter squid, Negombo prawn curry, mutton curry, aubergine moju, chilli paneer, seafood kottu, chicken fried rice, as well as a few hoppers and gothamba rotis. For dessert we tried the watalapan, choc biscuit pudding, the kithul pani as well as some ice cream for the kids. If this sounds like a lot of food, I can confirm that it was! Portion sizes were generous and we did end up packing some of it up to take home. The food itself was quite enjoyable throughout, the flavours were authentic and some of the dishes had a real kick to them! Service was friendly but quite slow and it was difficult to catch the attention of servers. The bill for our huge meal came to a reasonable £230, of which £40 was spent on drinks. A solid option for Sri Lankan cuisine overall, with a comprehensive menu that includes all the favourites (our group is of Sri Lankan origin btw). Definitely worth a visit if you live nearby.

If you want a truly authentic Sri Lankan meal this is the place for you. If this place was in central London they would be absolutely killing it! Great vibes, value, decor and service.

What an amazing experience from start to finish . Firstly all the staff are welcoming , friendly , very knowledgable and also efficient . We had quite a few dishes and everyone tasted wonderful , my wife especially enjoyed the king crab curry . The hoppers were a revelation , we had savoury and sweet ones for dessert . Would highly recommend anyone to visit this place and sample the authentic Sri Lankan food and hospitality . Can’t wait to revisit ourselves very soon . NOT TO BE MISSED !

Visited Colombo Kitchen in Worcester Park with my mum and sister for an early dinner on Sunday. This was our first time trying Sri Lankan food. We ordered the Fish Lamprais, Negombo King Prawn curry, stir fry beans and mango & papaya salad. We left the restaurant feeling happy and satisfied. Will definitely come back and try other items on the menu.

I went with the family to celebrate my husband's Birthday and the Father's day. The food was excellant and we had a real taste of SriLankan food and it was just like home. There is a selection of dishes you can choose from and they will cook it as you like it. i.e. hot/very spicy or mild. Also they take great care about allergies as my 5 yr old grandson is allergic to wheat/eggs/nuts etc. The food was very tasty and just the way we like it. The restaurant was very busy and felt a bit cramped . May be due to the fact that it was the Father's day. The service was very good though it could have been a bit quicker. However, the staff was very friendly and pleaseant and kept enquiring whther everything was to our liking. In my opinion the price was a little bit higher than I expectes as they were charging London prices compared to a restaurant in the suburb. I have no hesitation to recommend the place if you really fancy real SriLankan food where you can taste the food like back at home.
