Bought kothu rotti, worst food I have ever had in my life

New breakfast served on certain week days only.! No available on weekends when Surrey we want to go with friends and family. ? Reason being that chef needs to make Lump rice!!! Don’t get me wrong, I love the food here but have to go next door or Cinnamon Cottage or Chennai Dhosa for South Indian breakfast. Please take not , guys.

Placed an order at 7.30 told the food will be ready in 30 mins and I’m still waiting its 8.45 now Poor customer service

Waited for about 55-60 mins for food to be served, ordered chicken biryani, mutton chuka, rotis , lassi and pepper chicken . Items came in dribs and drabs which were devoured by the 3 of us quickly. Not really ideal or good lunch experience.

I was bought dhosa from them but it wasn't eating condition. I was very very disappointed.

Amazing 😍 had lunch on our way to London and could not be more satisfied with the slow service of food served. Staff were super friendly and food was really good and tasty. It has plenty of varieties and good options for vegetarians as well. They were very busy which I believe is a good sign. The atmosphere looks like a newly opened Restaurant with lighting, music and seating. 💯 Strongly recommended.

One of the worst South Indian restaurant I ever have seen in London. Poor menu, ugly service, awful atmosphere. Waste of money and time. Should I have to give -5. But, I couldn't.

This restaurant has got 1 star in food hygiene rating, I bought egg fried rice from them but it was not in edible condition, I think it was frozen. They heated it up and gave it to me. I was very disappointed. I think cooking with out of date ingredients. This restaurant food is unhealthy and dangerous, so I will not visit the restaurant.

Not good completely wrong order and when I called back phone was put down on me food wasn't fit for a dog

I was bought lamp rice from them but it wasn’t eating condition, I think it was from frozen. They are heat it up and gave to me. I was very very disappointed. When I was returning that food they are accepting my complaint.

We are not expecting that much variety of foods, We are really love the food and staff are so good.

The Web site offers 10% when ordering over £15. This does not happen at checkout, false advertisements. Also, items on platters when ordered, arrive incomplete and are not the same as the menu suggests. Regarding the food. The two Dosa's we ordered were both rubbery and not edible. The coconut dip was sour and off. The Fish ( Sea Bass ) that my Son had asked for as it was his Birthday treat, hadn't been cooked freshly. Delivery. I pre ordered on the website at 3pm for a 5pm delivery, giving them two hours . They still managed to turn up late at 5.30pm . Totally disappointed after using them previously and also eating in . I will not order again .

Looking for consistency in taste and quantity.

i placed the order at around 0838 and the order mentioned that it would be delivered at around 0935hrs. im still waiting for my order. i called the number mentioned in the app, it does not exist. i googled the restaurant and called them thrice. when asked, they hung up the phone and i called them again and after asking for an explanation, they hung up again. its 10:18 now and i still have not received my order, nor an update properly. zero customer service and manners.

I ordered Meal Deal Mutton Briyani [4 person] with price mark £40.00 . As per the menu it includes Chicken fry, raita and dessert. However, only 4 portions of regular size biryani was supplied with 4 tiny tubs of raita/salad. I am very disappointed. Where is the rest of my order? I am waiting for a resolution.

Amazing food, great hospitality by Mahalaxmi - just made our family dinner one of the best so far in wallington. Must visit this place, under renovation at this moment so might be a little messy but ignore that and you get the best authentic food here. 💯🔥

Very bad. Old food was sent without de frosting. They were hard as rocks. Do not order. I need a refund. Spoiled curry ! I am so angry and disappointed.

Do not order delivery from their website. Food is great but they don't have capacity to deliver at a reasonable time. I paid nearly 40 quid of food to wait for an hour and a half and I live just down the road from them.(5 min. walk) I ordered at 7:45 finally got food after repeatedly calling at 9:30! If you order for pick up make sure you check it all before leaving. The last 2 times I ordered they got my order wrong. I won't ever be ordering from them again.

I ordered two sets of Idllis(10 pcs) and stringhoppers. The idllies like rocks. I kept it for my husband to eat who came after work. So so so disappointed. They are old like it was in a freezer for a month. I wont order from them again. 😡

Sometimes the Lamprais is hit and miss. Unfortunately, this time the food was sub-standard. The food smelt funny.

I ordered masala dosa and couple more items the delivery person forgot to bring the dosa. The restaurant says they will give refuel in the next order which is very unfair as what about today. I had to order from another place. This has happened many times before. Highly recommend improvement in service

food tasted great! it's not lumprais or Sri Lankan flavours but it's a really good Indian rice and curry.

Basic restaurant with fantastic quality food. The dosa was better than any that I've had for ages!

The meat and rice parcel ordered and only three mutton bones for all four parcels .. NO mutton !

We've had mutton Biryani from there. The taste was awesome and at this price point the food is affordable. We have tried their Masala Dosa too. Tasted best!! Try having their Masala Dosa, will love it!

Taste of Ceylon has been a wonderful find for us. All our regular takeaways had already closed for the night so we took a chance on this place one Friday and we're so happy we did. The Kili biryani is different to anything we've tried before, it's beautifully presented wrapped in banana leaf and the crispy mutton bites are delicious. Separately we bought the Friday Thali, which was a feast and seemed to comprise of lucky bag mix of, I'm guessing, whatever they had lots of to spare. The only did side was that this part of the order arrived completely cold and it difficult to work out what was intentionally cold and what needed heating up - normally we'd deduct a star for this service but we enjoyed the novel experience so much (a change from the bog standard Indian dishes we usually have to choose from) we didn't mind too much. The paratha and the samosas are also tasty and moreish. We'd recommend to anyone who fancies trying something a little different. And as an extra sweetener, the prices are very inexpensive, although so much so we're concerned these are not sustainable and would rather the restaurant charge a bit more if they can so the business remains financially viable.

They have really done the place and renovated it. We tried the breakfast menu in the morning, and we just stuffed ourselves with lovely authentic food. Tried the Dosa, Idlys , Pooris, Semolina pudding and everything was really tasty. The filter coffee in the end was really a cherry on the cake. The staff are very humble and hospitable. Will definitely recommend it.

Food, Service and Ambience - Just brilliant. Just like the name authentic taste of Ceylon. The host was very loving and welcoming, food was hot and freshly prepared with amazing spices. Easily resonating To the Taste that we forgot at home. Biriyani with egg reminds of South Indian biryani which not many places in Ashford serve! The best so far is Kothu ! Chicken Kothu is delicious, disparate and sumptuous. I will come back again for sure

all the foods are delicious.no bad reviews but u should need to change the taste fruit salad and ice cream. I thought it's real fruits with ice cream but it's taste different it doesn't taste fruits and ice cream.

The hoppers were limp and cold, not crisp as they should have been and they'd forgotten to include the sambal. The chicken curry had far too much chilly in it. Very disappointing.

I tried something new not knowing what menu is. Only thing familiar was samosa which was nice. The fish fishes & cutlet and roti are not what i thought. So not my taste. Coconut nut chutney was a disappointment. Chapati & potato was nice. Won't order again!

My first time trying Sri Lankan food! I ordered the Sri Lankan Chicken Curry which was great. It's different to other curries, the sauce wasn't thick like an Indian or Chinese curry and the chicken came on the bone, which this wasn't an issue for me, just mentioning this so people are aware. It was great though, the chicken was cooked well and was easy to take off the bone. I also had a mutton roll which was my first time trying this and was great. It looked like a massive fish finger (it has orange crunchy battering around it), I thought was going to taste strange but it was lovely. Another thing I tried was their banana fritter (vaipan) which was tasty and it was a lot like a festival that you get from a carribean takeaway but in the shape of a ball. Overall everything was great and the prices I think were pretty good, I paid less than £20 and I also ordered other items such as pilau rice, a lamb samosa, coconut parata and a fish bun (I was so full I never got to try the fish bun). The food also arrived on time. Definitely recommend this place, I forgot to take pictures as I had so much food around me I was just eating away!

Authentic food, only feedback is chutneys they gave could be better but again sambar was so good and alots of vegetables. Overall, we loved the taste.

Loved the dosa and sambhar..some chutneys cud be better though. Also, the paneer dosa isn't great so stick to masala dosa which is really good.

Decent treat! Had dosa, porotta and chettinad chicken 🍗 Nothing was bad. Chicken was less in quantity but good 👍🏻 There are some good variety dishes available which needs to be tested🍽️

Customer service excellent Quick service Always has customers. Only issue I have is certain foods are pre-made and frozen. While quality is still very good, I prefer starters fresh.

Delivered 2 hours late. The number in the Just Eat app was wrong and delivered someone else's food. Informed them after I found the correct number, but no update, the delivery guy turned up another 2 hours later without any confirmation to pick up the wrong food, not sure if this happens all the time or random incident but it was not a good experience, will not order from them again.

Delivery is Slightly longer then anticipated. Food is good but can be spicy. Their chicken 65 is really nice.

Ordered a delivery after eating and having had catering from this restaurant. Delivery time was stated 40-55mins. The delivery time was confirmed once food was paid for. The delivery time confirmed on email. Which would have been an extra 25mins on top of the 55mins. When we called the restaurant numerous times they kept saying it’s coming. And then stopped answering the phone to us, when we called to complain about the quality. The food arrived 1 hour 45mins after the original order time. The food was so disappointing, chicken curry had 3 pieces of meat in the curry. Overall, really saddened by this order.
