Bangkok Pad Thai in Sutton

I dined at this restaurant in November last year. The experience was quite good and I took a photo, so I always remember the taste. I didn’t have time to write a review until today. At that time, I ordered Tom Yum Shrimp Soup and Hainanese Chicken Rice. Both dishes tasted quite good and left a deep impression. The Tom Yum soup base is moderately hot and sour, with a strong Thai flavor. The shrimp meat is fresh and chewy. When paired with the rice noodles, it has a smooth texture. The overall taste is quite harmonious. The chicken in Hainan Chicken Rice is tender and juicy, the rice absorbs the aroma of chicken oil, and paired with the special sauce, it is full of flavor. In addition, the restaurant environment is simple and clean. Although the space is not large, the overall dining experience is still comfortable. I had a pretty good impression of this restaurant at the time. However, when I visited again last month, the overall standard seemed to have dropped, and I'm not sure whether it was due to a change of chef or other factors that affected the quality. First of all, the taste of tom yum soup became a bit unbalanced, with a stronger sourness and a slightly lack of spiciness, which made people feel that it was missing a bit of layering. The texture of the fresh shrimp is also a little soft, not as fresh and chewy as last time. As for the Hainanese chicken rice, the changes are more obvious. The portion of the chicken has become smaller, the meat has become slightly dry, and it lacks the tender texture before. The rice quality is also worse. Even the seasoning is a bit strange. The sauce has a lighter taste and lacks some of the proper flavor, which is a bit disappointing. This second visit did make me a little hesitant about whether I would come again in the future. Although the environment is still clean, the change in taste inevitably makes people wonder whether there is a problem with the restaurant's quality control. If it is just an occasional mistake, maybe you can try again next time, but if the quality is unstable, it may be difficult to patronize it again. I hope the store can pay attention to the feedback from customers and maintain the quality at a stable level so that customers can continue to enjoy the food instead of being disappointed every time.

Tried this Thai cafe several times. The food is freshly cooked in an open kitchen and you get front seat action of their wok skills. Most dishes are tasty but some dishes are a tad sweet. Check out their pad see-ew stirfry and their green curry. Decent prices for this part of London

The veggie tempura packing was done really poorly. By the time it was delivered the paper bag ripped, food was pouring out of the pack and got cold. I couldn’t consume it due to the slippage and had to discard it.

Food is authentic and decent Thai. The shop front is a bit small and seating somewhat cramped. But if you are nearby and crave some Pad Thai, it's a good place to get you fix.

I ordered food online then They have taken my money but they didn’t give my food also they haven’t given the money back.Their foods have so many oil their service so bad, the were being rude to me and talked like shout on my face.

I ordered and selected the mild dish but received it very spicy. Specifically called the restaurant to advise to make it mild, yet there were lots of chillies in the food. Was unable to eat it, it was that spicy!!!

The pad thai noodles were burnt and stuck together. I had to discard it after two bites. The portion size was also too small, I usually pay £12 at thai express for 4x the amount and it is always done properly.

Absolutely incredible food at Bangkok Pad Thai! The rice noodle soup with chicken and prawn takes you on a flavour adventure! The Tom yam noodle soup was amazing. The fresh ginger tea was lovely! Excellent food and service. Such good value for money!

Me llevaron de aquí hace unos días y he estado decidiendo si revisarlo o no, pero he decidido hacerlo, ya que era horrible y no comestible. Pedimos los langostinos en masa para empezar, estaban bien más masa que langostinos y bastante empapados. Pedimos curry tailandés rojo con pollo y arroz frito. Bueno, el curry apareció con película adhesiva enrollada a su alrededor supongo que protegerá al entregar. Se había derramado por todas partes, pero ese no era el problema. La salsa roja tailandesa era como el agua con un tinte rojo en ella, no había cremosidad en la salsa que era insípido. Los trozos de pollo no eran de buena calidad, así que los dejamos. El arroz se veía gris, y también parecía que había tenido guisantes y zanahorias congelados arrojados en él. Tan decepcionado mi primera vez usando este lugar y nunca más. Tiramos todo el lote.

The driver could not find the address, tried to call me several times - I have telephonphobia, never pick up the phone, sent him a few text messages. There is a big board by the building entrance door to call the flats.

This place is always consistently delicious! The green curry is flavourful, spring rolls are great, pad thai chicken and pad thai tofu were fab. They make the food to order, cannot rate this place enough

09/09/24 - Dined in. Reasonable chicken thai pad for under a tenner. For those who don't want the Thai full monty, chillies and peanuts are optional.

We went there on cold winter day thinking to have tasty Thai food but a major let down. Cold restaurant with poorly closed door leading all air to come. Slow food delivery and presentation of food was bad too

Bangkok Pad Thai has amazing food. My favorite restaurant in Sutton and the staff are so nice. Would highly recommend it. My favorite dish is the Pad Kee Mow. Great value as well.

Pedí una sopa con pollo. Mi error ya que pensé que estaba pidiendo sopa de fideos que tuve previamente con mi marido y era delicioso. Cuando miré el menú solo noté sopas. Admito que fue mi error, pero cuando mi comida llegó como pueden imaginar, no era lo que esperaba. ¿La joven se fijó en mi cara y me preguntó si todo estaba bien? Le expliqué que no lo era, ya que estaba esperando ese cuenco y señalé a una dama comiendo lo que pensaba que había ordenado. Ella me miró y me dijo, eso es sopa de fideos y tú pediste sopa. Sí, sé que fue mi error y claramente con ella parada allí dije que está bien, es mi error. ¡Escuché cuando regresó y explicó a los demás que no estaba contento con mi pedido que decían que había pedido sopa! Hubiera esperado que la gerente (una encargada) viniera, pero no lo hizo. No les habría hecho daño rehacer mi pedido y cobrarme el costo adicional, ya que podrían haber agregado el pollo de mi “sopa” a los fideos, pero optaron por ignorarme, lo que es una pena, ya que no volveré a visitarlos de nuevo, ya que hay otras tiendas / restaurantes chinos que puedo visitar la próxima vez que esté en Sutton. También me gustaría señalar que no estaban ocupados cuando entré, así que no hay excusa que honestamente nunca puede haber una excusa cuando sabes que un cliente no está contento! ¡Sólo me comí los 4 trozos de pollo y dejé el resto!

Hemos tenido algunas comidas para llevar de este restaurante y siempre hemos estado muy contentos. Esta vez, decidimos probar un plato diferente al habitual, ya que la imagen se veía tan encantadora en Uber Eats. Para empezar, teníamos el Pork Dim Sum Shu - Mai. El principal fue un Chili Stir - plato de pollo frito y vino con un tazón de caldo de pollo con calabacines. Lo que resultó no podría haber sido más diferente si lo intentaran. El Dim Sum era de £ 4. 70 por 3 piezas o £ 6. 70 por 5. Decidimos empujar el barco hacia fuera por 5 así que £ 1 cada uno por 2 piezas más de diminuta suma de diminuto. Si el gris tuviera sabor, este plato lo capturaría perfectamente. Para el plato principal, la mejor manera de describirlo era un recipiente de guante gris grasiento y el caldo era un recipiente de agua con una sola rodaja de calabacín cortado en 4 trozos pequeños flotando en la parte superior. Genuinamente pensando que habíamos recibido el pedido equivocado, llamamos al restaurante y preguntamos si así era como se suponía que debía ser el plato y nos dijeron que sí. Preguntamos por qué no se parecía a la imagen en el sitio y nos dijeron ‘así es como lo hacemos’. Preguntamos por qué tienen una imagen de algo muy diferente a lo que realmente entregan y, de nuevo, la respuesta fue ‘así es como lo hacemos’. Cuando se les preguntó si se daban cuenta de que perderían nuestra costumbre con este tipo de actitud, dijeron que estaba bien. Si no pudieran preocuparse menos por sus clientes, no podríamos preocuparnos menos por no volver.

The main meal that arrived looked nothing like what is pictured. It was off putting and ultimately inedible. Spring rolls were nice. Delivery was late but can only assume this was due to restaurant being busy with orders due to Euro final.

Usually love this place, however the quality of the food seems to of gone down somewhat. The spring rolls were overcooked and the pad Thai was pretty bland with next to nothing flavour. The Chicken satay was quite nice but would have been better if the sauce provided was larger as it was only enough for two of the chicken sticks. Such a shame as I used to love this place.

We arrived before 6pm with only one table being occupied. The waitress was polite and took our order and we have pay when the order is taken. She came to tell is they did jot have Jasmine tea, we asked for ginger tea, she came back and told they have not got it. In the end we ended up with coke and agreed to refund the difference. Within 10mins the restaurant was full and two taken drivers waiting. During the 45mins having dinner, there was loud slanging discussion between the chef, she did not seem happy and shouting so loudly that outside passer could hear. Not a pleasant place to eat. This showed in the quality of the food. The sweet tempura have 80% batter and 20% sweetcorn. We will give it a miss.

Even though it was close to home, half of the soup of Tomyanggung Noodle was spilled and arrived. And the soup itself was too little. It was quite inconvenient because all the bowls had soup on them.

Bangkok pad thai is my favourite place to have thai food. I had Pad Thai with chicken for takeout, it's as so delicious and had real thai authentic taste which I was craving. The staff were really nice and helpful.

I an having to remove a review to add this review. I used to come here once a week. I had to stop because cost of living and prices was quite high. I thought yesterday I'd give them another go as I love Thai food. I got a takeaway. I ordered extra peanuts which was never in the bag. Even though I asked before I left if the extra peanut was in the bag and they said yes. Which they wasn't when I got home. The pad thai was completely burnt the fire alarm did go of in there whilst I waited and I'm guessing that is because my whole meal was burnt. The noodles was al burnt stuck together. So so so disappointed. Considering the price you pay I'd expect a decent meal that could be eaten.

I recently dined at Bangkok Pad Thai in Sutton, and I have to say, I was blown away by the experience. The food was absolutely delicious.From the moment I walked in, the staff made me feel incredibly welcome. Even with a full house, they were quick to greet me and ensure I was comfortably seated and the food was absolutely delicious. Overall, I would highly recommend Bangkok Pad Thai in Sutton to anyone looking for delicious Thai food and excellent service.

Regular here! I come here very often for lunch or after work. The food is nice and the staff are really lovely and friendly. Pad Thai, Khao Mun Gai, Veg temp and Tum Yum noodle soup is so good.

The menu has some good options that made it difficult to choose, Pad Thai prawns fresh and moisture Pad kaphrao it’s great for Thai taste No onion and bean. I visited Sutton few days ago with two friends on mine, and we decided to have lunch at this little restaurant. I had probably one of the best Prawns Pad Thai in UK! Great food, awesome service! A really pleasant experience for all of us!

One of my favorite places to eat Thai food in Sutton. I had Pad Thai and Pad Kee Mow which was really delicious and Pad Kee Mow was spicy. Had a great experience every time I visit.

Pad See Ew noodles were burnt leaving a bitter taste in the mouth and vegetables were undercooked. Prawn tempura was not in tempura batter. Prawns were battered in a thick coating of regular batter, and the sweet chilli sauce was watery. Disappointing meal, there were only 2 kitchen staff who were struggling to keep up with the lunchtime rush so the main meals came at different times. No check back to see if customers were happy with the food. Sadly I would not recommend. :-( Part 2: In response to your comments below. We didn't want to cause a scene by returning our food in front of a full café so we shared our feedback discretely with the kitchen staff once the lunchtime rush was over, but was met with we cannot give you a refund because you should have mentioned this earlier and we will cook it better next time. This was handled poorly, and we won't be returning.

Food is nice, a bit expensive for what it is TBH. Service is minimal, seatings are also basic, but comfortable.

Avoid at all costs if you have an allergy! It was made clear to the lady taking our order that there was a nut allergy and unfortunately came home to find peanuts in the food. Update - apology received from the owner and have been informed processes will be looked at.

Used to be an amazing takeaway meal. Tonight was the first time we'd used this restaurant in a while. The main dishes were underwhelming and one of the sticky rice portions was solid, crunchy and totally inedible, as if it was a few days old. Was supposed to be a special meal before our daughter went back to uni, instead it was a real disappointment.

The Tom yam soup is basically tomato (paste) soup with spice that's it. No flavour. Not much food in there as well. Soup is overflowing and all over the plate. sticky rice is hard rock and the container is dirty with dried rice grain sticked inside. The kitchen is messy with soup paste and some other ingredients flowing on the floor. The table is oily and sticky

Ordered a delivery the chicken fried rice was half full it cost £10.40. rang and told the thai women on her mobile that is the only number. she put the phone down on me. Tried ringing back no answer. How rude and soo disrespectfull.we will not be using them again. There OK to take your money 💰. I will spend my money elsewhere many other great places on the high street. Shame on them.

Ordered via Uber eats the most appalling smell of oil and inedible. The entire order was binned. The momos were part frozen/cold, the green curry had a smell and aubergine fry was completely awful. The only grace was pad thai, which had chicken barely cooked. Having travelled to Thailand and lived at months end, I know a decent Thai - this is not recommended or authentic.

I like Thai food. This Thai restaurant with a Thai experience brought me back to the memory of beautiful Thailand and the friendly people there. Love their Tom Yam and Tom kha Soup, it has a real Thai taste. I really like eating Prawn and Vegetable Tempura. It tastes so crispy. Recommend this restaurant, good quality very valuable.

Used to be amazing food from here, was one of the best pad Thai’s and a great portion size, portion was in a different tub about a quarter of previous size I’m still starving! Tub was different for the curry too which tasted completely different. My partner is also still hungry. We eat Thai food regularly and this went from being one of the best to now the worst. What has happened? Is it new management?

Had the Pad Sen. Absolutely delicious, I devoured it. I would love to go again. However, the extra vegetables turned out to be a few pieces of broccoli, which is disappointing since it cost £1.50 for that. Overall a great Thai café!
