The best restaurants in Southwark London

Great steak dinner while on a work trip. Staff were lovely (served by Sade D who was great). Had the steak sampler and it was delicious, as was the glass on wine. Looking forward to more work trips

Impresionante pub, realmente impresionado. Tuvimos un gran tiempo y un montón de comida deliciosa! Tienen una gran selección de bebidas y el equipo y el servicio fue excelente.

La semana pasada tuve una muy buena salida de este lugar. El viernes pedí la misma comida para llevar y no fue buena. El pescado terminó en la papelera y las papas fritas no estaban frescas. ¿Cómo puede un lugar ser tan bueno una semana y basura la siguiente?

Tuvimos un par de bebidas en el bar de la destilería durante nuestra reciente estancia en Hilton Bankside. Sabía que hacían muy buenos cócteles, en esta visita tuve el mejor que he tenido en mis muchos años en esta tierra! (uno favorito antes de esto había sido cócteles a medida de la hiedra y también uno de brettos bar en Atenas). El personal es atento con un enfoque relajado y amable

QUÉ VIBRA. Me encanta la frialdad de esta cafetería. Fuimos a uno en Bethnal Green. Agarró un macchiato de caramelo helado y se sentó afuera. Llegó a £ 9. 60 para dos (por lo que precio estándar del café). El café era absolutamente delicioso y uno de los mejores que he tenido en Londres.

Really sorry for the confusing order.. looking forward to the food

Went to celebrate my dad’s birthday and Mother’s Day. Drove quite a long way expecting the menu on their website. While limited, the website menu at least had some options that could be eaten by vegetarian customers. The menu inside the restaurant is completely different, with virtually no meal options suitable for vegetarians and no desert options either. Something else that the website fails to mention is that Tall Lounge is an extension of Tasty African Takeaway. While there are some additions to the menu, their offering is largely based on what is available in the Tasty takeaway next door. This was infuriating because we drove a long way to eat Tasty takeaway that we could’ve ordered from home - and at double the price!! Worse still, half of the menu was unavailable. There was no Asun, they ran out of Seafood Okra, there was no Puff Puff, there was no Spicy Sauce to accompany the Asaro as stated on the menu. Very very disappointing. Our waiter was fine, but I’ve had to mark down the service because of the sheer lack of availability of food advertised on the menu. Also, the fact that some food items (those available at the takeaway shop) came out very quickly, whereas others (the additions to the restaurant menu) took forever. There was also only one waiter with close to 30 guests in the restaurant, which probably delayed service further. The restaurant interior was nice, which is probably the only saving grace of the experience. In my opinion it would work better as a bar serving small chops and cocktails than it does as a restaurant. I would suggest that the false menu is removed from the website immediately and that there is more openness about what we’re truly booking and walking in to. It’s ridiculous to demand that customers dress up and advertise the establishment as fancy if you’re serving us Tasty takeaway when we get there.

Wide range of selection and it was a very unique experience. The staff was very helpful and answered all my questions. It was very clean and well organized I can't wait to go back to try another delicious coffee :)

Came with my family today, service was absolutely amazing and food was really good, our host lost on was very attentive and it’s definitely somewhere where I’ll return

My family and I were looking for a good Chinese food place and this was rated 4.5 but we weren’t impressed at all. The noodles tasted burnt probably due to the pans being burnt. Nice people but food wasn’t that great.

Es curioso cómo servir café se convirtió en un trabajo para seres superiores. Está bien para aquellos que manicuran por la mañana para sostener más tarde una taza con un meñique extendido - que tienen poco que hacer, excepto adorar al ganador del pan. ¿Qué pasa con los que vivimos entre los pretenciosos y queremos que el servicio sea consistente? Lamentablemente no en Watchouse que no miran todo. Evite llenar los bolsillos de este glorioso santuario con café. Piensen.

Decided to book as it was early evening on a Friday and we had seen how busy other places in the area were during the week. Initially thought we may have made a mistake as when we arrived the large restaurant area was empty. But once the food arrived we knew we had definitely made an excellent choice! Between the 3 of us (2 adults, 1 teenager) we ordered quite a selection of dishes, all of them really good, but the standout ones for us were the lentils and the paella. If we stay in the area again we will definitely be going back.

Fantastic place to visit and enjoy authentic Mexican cuisine. The chicken burrito rice box was a delicious meal! A combination of chicken, rice, and burrito ingredients served in a convenient box format. It's a popular option for those who enjoy the flavours of a burrito but prefer a bowl-style presentation. Polite staff and excellent service. The food hall is Dog-friendly too... 🐕 I highly recommend it.

Not much selection to choose from today at lunchtime. Croissant was a bit dry, the ham and cheese pastry was kind of tasteless, staff were friendly and polite. Will try again sometime as others have given good reviews. Maybe we caught them on a bad day!? 🤷‍♀️

Comida muy agradable, aunque muy ocupado. Asientos al aire libre disponibles y con el tiempo encantador era muy bueno. La comida estaba en el lugar y los precios son los esperados para Londres. Sin duda recomendaría si en la zona y su vientre está retumbando
