Top class pie and mash shop and one of my favourites. Friendly staff, not too expensive and the food is always fresh. Highly recommended.

¡Qué hallazgo! Mi pareja y yo estábamos buscando un lugar para el brunch y nos encontramos con esta pequeña joya brillante! Ya hay una cola a las 11 am con una mezcla de padres con niños, grupos y personas que vienen a tomar cafés. Pedí tostadas de masa agria con huevo escalfado y tocino rayado con su salsa “secreta” característica. Increíble, agua la boca y buen precio. Cocinado a la perfección. Este lugar está escondido en una zona de esquina, así que no habría encontrado si no hubiéramos buscado lugares para comer (cerca de Kennington) Muy contento de haber visitado y ya recomiendo. Sin duda volveremos a visitar! Oh, solo una pequeña cosa, si usted tiene una fobia a los payasos este no es el lugar para usted, ya que hay un montón de obras de arte de payaso en las paredes! A mí personalmente me encanta esta peculiaridad!

I've lived near Guido's for six years and never thought to go in. From the outside, it didn't strike me as anything special but boy was I wrong. A friend wanted to try it so I dutifully tagged along and the food was incredible. We had one of the sharing platters, took recommendations from the waiter on sides and I'm glad we did - it was amazing. I can't wait to go back.

Had coffee and cake this morning. Greeted by a very friendly member of staff, and sat in a verty atmospheric area with people passing by outside in the local market on East Street. The bill was £3.50, which is very reasonable

The food is delicious and nice, especially the seafood paella and the parrillada. The meat is roasted very well. and the seafood paella is 200% better than the borough market.

Tasty toasties, lovely coffee, delightful staff. And a lovely setting in the corner of Burgess Park. One of my favourite local cafes.

Just had a very filling and satisfying lunch at Bayroot. Staff is very friendly and place was clean. Very good value for money!

We had a table of 5. The restaurant was empty on a Friday night just us. Positives: nice decor Bar man: friendly Negatives: Music was so loud, we wanted a boys catchup and ended up shouting like it’s a nightclub. My friend ordered a beer which tasted off. Checked and found the beer had expired. My other friend’s Guinness was out of date too but tasted fine. My starter was nice but my friends was late. We ordered 5 portions of jollof and stew which was supposed to come plantain. They said they will not have enough jollof to complete the order. So some of us had to have fried rice. There was only a table for 5 how can they be out of rice? It was 8pm. Our meals arrived with no plantain. They said they didn’t have any. Very disappointed as that was advertised on the order and we were not informed. Ended up having a small plate of rice with two bits of meat. Very disappointing. My friend didn’t eat his chicken as he said it was too cold and he has had enough at that point. The guy at the bar who was also waiting on tables said the food came out of the microwave at the same time. So it’s not made fresh on-site? They removed the expired beer from the bill but didn’t want to adjust the price of our mains as there was no plantain and no substitute provided. They struggled to understand our disappointment and why we were not happy to pay full price for an incomplete meal. Very disappointed. The reviews do not live up to the reality. Will not go again and do not recommend.

Not what you would call a cafe, general snake and pizza. Could of done so much more being next to a kids park
