Tasty toasties, lovely coffee, delightful staff. And a lovely setting in the corner of Burgess Park. One of my favourite local cafes.

A lovely place but please do encourage your staff to sanitise their hands / wash their hands once they touch dogs - the guy who served me today was touching and stroking a dog and then proceeded to make my coffee and contaminate all the equipment and my coffee cup. Some people do have allergies / don’t like dogs!

Cafe sits inbetween the tennis courts and Addison Square with seating in front that allows quiet time to people watch and enjoy the food and drink from the terrace.

This is an outside cafe I have been frequenting for many years. In this occasion took a lady (Suzanne), who attends my computer class for the aged, here on her 90th birthday. She wanted the same as me, a Classico (toasted cheese, ham and mustard sandwich). I think she had an iced tea, I had a similar cold drink. The food here is basic but good, a range of toasted sandwiches or salads, during the winter there are usually home made soups as well. The Classico is very good, and the other options (all veggie) also seem very popular. Up to about 18 months ago the soups were excellent, thick and hearty but at some point they changed and they are now too thin, watery and lacking in flavour for my tastes. The cafe has a small kitchen thereby restricting the menu, the number of staff etc. The service is as good as the restricted staff and size allow i.e. you might have to wait but not long and the service is invariably cheerful. Available are coffees, hot chocolates and usually a range of cakes. Dog friendly, with an ecletic clientele, one of my favourite cafes in the area. Oh and the money goes to a local sports charity for the kids.

Serves decent coffee. Closes at 4pm on Saturday and has the only toilet nearby. Whilst they're cleaning the toilet there's no access for up to 30 minutes.

Really great use of the location by a gourmet coffee enterprise with a local emphasis. It's a large kiosk which means customer seating is all outside and the better for it so full advantage is made of the cafe's outlook. To one side there's the gentle whack of racquet and ball from the tennis courts. Turn the other way and gaze uninterrupted to the horizon as West Burgess Park stretches before you. And straight in front of the café's serving hatch admire a well-preserved garden square, that most humane of London's architectural innovations (in fact, this one is only three-quarters of a square - the café sits where the missing fourth side would be and presumably, once was?).

A popular coffee shop for Park Runners. Great tasting coffee and vegan sausage rolls. Unfortunately there is only outdoors sitting, which could be tricky if it is raining.

Lovely cafe in the park, nice seating area and have toilets but the price is quite expensive. The coffee is great though, nice service and really good frappés! Would definitely, absolutely recommend if they had a little more shelter for rainer days and the prices were a little more reasonable but they do at least give lots of the profits to local community projects so it makes up for it and probably not AS expensive as Starbucks so worth a visit!

Was cycling with a friend around Burgess park, and after about an hour, we needed some Refreshments. It's very handy having this cafe in the middle of the park. As it's all there is, it could be bad, as there's no competition...but it's really good! Great selection of food and drinks. Quick, friendly service and good portion sizes.

I love this place. The last time I was there, I asked for the “The Lo” toastie but they were out so one of the girls said she can make me something very similar to it by using some stuff they had in the fridge. It was just as nice as the original one and I was grateful for her going the extra mile. They are also dog friendly and are so kind when my naughty little girl runs behind the counter lol thank you for being so kind to us. Asli & Keje the poodle xx

Second visit today & grabbed a bite to eat this time … very, very pleased I did too 😊 Their Ham, cheese & mustard toastie by a very long way the best I’ve ever had the joy to eat. The only downside was that it was such a generous portion that I had no space for the delicious looking Apricot & Almond slice. Fortunately they are situated on the edge of Burgess Park which allowed me to walk off the toastie 👌🏼 Oh yes, their Cortado was also excellent … Highly recommended Café

Whether it's a great coffee or a chai latte (the best one around!), it is a pleasure to visit every time. Not only the quality of their products, the people working there and the ones visiting are superb from what I can tell - always a friendly crowd around. Knowing that profits go to community projects makes it even more enticing to visit them again, and again, and again. Keep up the great work and vibe, and thanks for all you do. :)

Small, very buzzy place. What might once have been described as intimate - tables are quite close. Relaxed vibe. Very good food, excellent steaks, very well cooked. Starters were very good. Excellent desserts. Meat focused, so can't comment on vegetarian dishes. Red wines were a touch disappointing for a South African place. Service was great.

Worth a trip across the city to enjoy this bakery. I had the tunga (sp?) bean with a nice topping. There were a few other items I thought about getting but was on a bakery crawl and could only take some Kuch stuff. The turkey cranberry Danish looked amazing too. The Brichoe bun looks nice too. Have to come back for a visit. Great service and customer satisfaction.

A very busy little restaurant with a great atmosphere. I made an appointment at 8:30 and rushed all the way to order the meal at almost 9 o'clock. The appetizer was celery soup. The strong and unpleasant celery flavor that I expected was completely absent. It had a very creamy taste. This soup was really delicious. There is also a beef salad as an appetizer. The sauce in the salad part is very surprising. You will be surprised at the first bite. The main course was duck breast and sea bass. Duck breast is served with mashed potatoes and a little salad. The sauce is a little bit heavy, but if you mix it with mashed potatoes, it won't be so abrupt. The green leafy vegetables that go with the seabass are so rich, and they are not fishy or greasy at all. It is the first time I eat seabass with such a large number of vegetables. It is really great. The dessert is pistachio soufflé, which is very fragrant and crispy and melts in your mouth. Their menu is different every day. I like this kind of restaurant very much. It doesn’t matter if you don’t understand it. The waiter will help you explain it in English and tell you what is included in the main meal. If you don't know the wine list when ordering wine, you can ask them to pair the wine with your meal. It will be a great experience for the whole night. Strong recommendation. btw it’s really busy so be sure to book a spot in advance.
