The best restaurants in East Sheen Richmond upon Thames London

A large group of us met here for lunch today and we had a variety of different dishes on the menu - my shepherd’s pie and apple and pear crumble was just what I wanted, and the gentleman who served us, the owner, I think, was extremely patient and very friendly. Nothing was too much trouble and we had a long, leisurely meal with no pressure put upon us to vacate the table and allow them to tidy up around us. Thank you

Good value, good food. Take away only - don't get a Saturday night Indian as often as I used to but when I do I look no further.

Popped into this simple cafe/restaurant on the wettest Saturday for a while as the menu intrigued me. So glad I did! I ordered a fenugreek and turmeric soup, with traditional bread, all freshly made and OMG. This was not just a ‘hug in a (soup) mug’ but a full on ‘cuddle in a puddle!’ Ok that did not quite work but hopefully you get the drift. The soup was fragrant, lightly spiced and very hearty, perfect for the depressing cold outside and the bread was warm, both chewy and crisp and generously covered in sesame seeds. It is the best feeling to experience new tastes together (spices, egg, lime, sesame... who would have thought?!) that just work. So good was everything that I ignored my innate Britishness and struck up conversation with a fellow weather-refuger who had ordered the same, extolling its’ virtues. Cannot recommend this place enough. It is rare to find somewhere now where the food tastes so fresh, and not reliant on salt and fat to give taste. It felt like home-cooked food with a lot of love included. Please do come and support, and experience a well filled belly!!!

These guys cater for all allergies and requests. Incredible bakers of delicious cakes and fast as well. We've been fans for a while and hope to use them next weekend for a bank holiday party.

La Plata does the best steaks around. They are everything you could want in a beautiful piece of meat, cooked well. Why not five stars then? Well everything else isn't quite up to the same standard. Very good but the steak is the star. Would we come back again? Absolutely!

Have made this restaurant our staple visit when we're in the area. The food is fresh and plentiful, the service attentive and they even gave us complimentary sweets at the end of our delicious meal. Always look forward to our next visit 👍🏽

Having just moved from Melbourne to London, I've been consistently let down by cafes in the UK. Every night I dream of poached eggs and avocado on lightly toasted sourdough, the sun shining on my face as salt-tempered wind blows softly through my hair. I shudder awake - screaming and drenched in sweat to find myself in East Sheen. Another Gail's coffee for my walk to work I think bitterly, and shed a limescale-enriched tear. Luckily my prayers have been answered, as 11 Coffee & Co feels exactly like cafe culture back home. The food is banging, the coffee is banging, the surf is pumping. Hands down best cafe around.

Rosa's was our go-to cafe when we were living in Mortlake. Rosa and Karolina are such warm, friendly people and were so good with our daughters too. The coffee is fantastic, as are the pastries. We will drop-in for sure next time we're in the area

Pickle and Rye did it again! Came as a really big group for my birthday and they did an incredible job. Service and food were both fantastic. Staff as always were so lovely and supportive throughout the planning process and on the day. A big thank you to the Chef as I know that isn't an easy process for such a big group. Would thoroughly recommend. Everyone loved their food.
