Friendly young male staff, who can't retain information for more and sixty seconds. Manager who is disinterested and visibly irritated by feedback. I live ten minutes from Pickle and Rye, and have visited their restaurant six times since it opened. On 25.08.24, my son and I had returned from a tiring flight, and at 8pm I telephoned Pickle and Rye to place an order: 1 x burger with cheese and lettuce 2 x burger with cheese, onion and lettuce 2 x strawberry milkshakes 1 x fries I arrived at a fully staffed but entirely empty restaurant, to collect at 8:26pm to find that only two burgers had been made. The nice young man agreed to deliver the missing burger to my house when it was cooked. Arriving home, the burger with cheese, onion and lettuce contain no onions. This is an immediate replacement in my book. But it was a takeaway, so despite my astonishment that P&R can't take down an order accurately, we tucked in. The missing cheese burger arrived shortly afterwards, but it contained lettuce and onions, and no cheese. Also a replacement. But we were tired. We then opened the two strawberry milkshakes to find that one was strawberry and the other was chocolate with marshmallows. I threw this down the drain. I emailed the restaurant to tell them of our experience almost two weeks ago, and did not receive a response. So on 02.09.24 I popped in and spoke to the manager. She tried to conceal her irritation at listening to my complaint, and she assured me that she would check the emails and get back to me. A week later, I have heard nothing. I would like a response. Three items on the order were not correct. The order cost over £40.
